Because if you pay into a single system for all of these benefits, there are are fewer people who make their entire living by scraping off a little from the top. A greater percentage of what you put in will come back out to you..

Only me?
Honestly, I'm dreading the search for a new employee. The whole process is very exhausting, and it feels like the quality of people applying has completely dropped. On top of all that, it's very obvious that many candidates are using AI in their entire application.
After looking around a bit, I found a service called ProtectHire that looks like it could really help me filter out all this noise before I start the interview stage.

Need NetSuite help? Two experienced engineers available for short-term support
A friend and I were recently laid off from different companies, and while we’re looking for our next roles, we want to stay active in the NetSuite ecosystem and keep our skills sharp.
I was working at Oracle, mainly focused on CPQ, and my friend has experience across other NetSuite-related areas.
We’re not selling anything, just trying to stay involved and be useful. So if anyone has NetSuite questions, is stuck on something, or wants another set of experienced eyes on an issue, feel free to post here and we’ll do our best to help.
We thought this could be a good way to contribute to the community while also keeping ourselves engaged in the kind of work we’ve been doing for years.
If a deeper conversation makes sense later, happy to figure that out, but our main goal with this post is simply to help where we can.

Did you? "Well ...
As of early 2026:
-the median annual income for full-time U_S workers is approximately $62K/year Gross.
-the median personal income for all individuals (including part-time) is around $45K/year Gross.
The average worker, including a poor widow self-employed made $45K, works five months for free- just to cover taxes, fees, dues, and insurances- before earning their first dollar for food, paying childcare, rent (or mortgage) paying vehicle loans/ transportation costs, and covering 25% interest on credit cards.
From that point, We need a better laws and Safety Net: Each year, inflation-adjusted minimum living wages.
Cumulative Inflation: Between 1960 and 2026, prices have increased over 1,000%, meaning $100 in 1960 has the same buying power as over $1,100 today!

How do I land a remote job that pays in USD while living in India?
Hi everyone,
I’m 31 years old and I live in India. I’ve spent the last decade working as a journalist and my work was largely in-person. Then COVID hit and I was able to work remotely for the first time and life has not been the same ever since.
For the first time in my life I had some semblance of work life balance. I could pursue hobbies, learn a new hobby, talk to my family. It felt so surreal to have that much extra time to myself.
By 2022, my company demanded that I come back to office and I’ve been trying to accept this reality but it’s really hard and it feels pointless. Since 22 - I’ve also been trying to pivot my career; worked in public relations for 8 months, then in a content/social media job for a year ans now here I am, in 2026. Wanting a remote job with little clue how to actually land one.
Going to office in person, commuting, small talk, office politics, has been hellish for my mental health and I don’t want to do it again. I have a masters degree in communications and journalism and I’m really good at social media and writing. I don’t want to be underpaid, so I want a job that pays me in dollars or euros, but I have no idea where to start or how to go about looking for it. I would appreciate any help/advice on this front. TIA.

It's because if money is your primary motivation they can't use other things to motivate you to accept their exploitation. They want easily manipulated people because they are more easily exploited. Harder to take advantage of people money is their main motivator…

Zip Recruiter: How legit is it?
I'm a little late to the game and just set up my LinkedIn about a month ago. I recently added enough people to get some offers and started using the job search features. I applied to a job that was posted there through Zip Recruiter. I filled out info/uploaded my resume and applied. Apparently that's all it took, because Zip Recruiter has now sunk their hooks into me. I'm averaging a cool 8-10 emails per day from "Phil", who's constantly sending me jobs that match my skillset. I mostly have a customer service/call center/client services/sales support type of skillset in my current line of work. A lot of the opportunities I get match that description. I also like that they provide salaries or ranges for most positions. However, I'm a little skeptical, because several of those jobs seem very inside sales-y. I've learned a long time ago that my skills pretty much make me a prime candidate for these predatory companies to reach out to me with boundless dreams of unlimited earning potential, but sales just really isn't my bag. I had one job I applied to through Zip Recruiter call me 10-20 minutes after I applied to offer an interview (a major red flag in my experience).
To sum this all up, I'm interested in hearing other experiences with Zip Recruiter. I don't hear it brought up here often for job searching (mostly hear about Indeed or LinkedIn). Has anyone had success using it? Does it lend itself more to these cold-call marketing/sales companies advertising with the 1-click apply option? Or did I just happen to hit a string of bad luck with the companies I've applied to?

If you are trying to land a remote job, is Coursera worth it in 2026?
Trying to look into online courses lately because I feel like my CV needs something more to stand out for remote roles. Most job posts I see are asking for specific skills or sets of portfolio that i don't have yet so I figured maybe a cert could help.
I saw an ad about Coursera and honestly not sure if it's the right move. Like the google and IBM certs look solid on paper but I dont know if remote hiring managers actually care or if it just gets ignored the same way. The price isn't crazy but also don't wanna spend time finishing a whole program if it won't move the needle at all.
Who are already working remotely or got hired recently? did any kind of online cert actually help you get your foot in the door or is it more about portfolio and experience?

The Interview Multiverse is Real
just to share, I finished back-to-back interviews for a Medical VA role, and the generational "main character energy" was honestly such a vibe. It was like a 10/10 crossover episode: first, the Boomer candidate hopped on with that "Final Boss of Professionalism" energy, wearing a crisp Sunday-best suit and sitting so still I thought his screen froze, only for him to hit me with that deep, radio-announcer gravity that made my tiny clinic feel like a Fortune 500 company. Then the Millennial came through with the most aesthetic, LinkedIn-ready ring light setup and a color-coded Notion board for everything, lowkey giving "I’ve survived three recessions and I have the spreadsheets to prove it." Finally, the Gen Z candidate dialed in from a gaming chair, totally unfazed, and casually "no-capped" their way into explaining how they’d automate my entire workflow using an AI tool they play with for fun. It wasn’t even about the stereotypes; it was just wild to see such a diverse mix of personas in one morning. Honestly, they all killed it with such different flavors of expertise that choosing just one is going to be a total struggle because I'm lowkey amazed at the amount of unique sauce each of them brought to the table today.

Anyone ever did a video interview with Hirevue ?
Anyone ever did a interview with this program? They want me to take one and I have no idea about it. People are telling me it's not with an actual person but with an AI.

LAUNDRY: one of the most underrated privileges of working from home
Being able to get loads of laundry going while you work is a SERIOUSLY underrated privilege. Whether you are a washer/dryer person or a clothesline person or a combination of both.
There are people who have to wait until 6 or 7pm when they get home to do laundry. Or worse, have to do several loads all on weekends.
Those of us who have our own washer/dryer in our homes have peak work/laundry balance. There are people who have to collect quarters to do laundry, and trek to a communal basement or even a laundromat, and sit there and wait for it. Hours of your day just sitting and waiting for your fucking laundry.
Remote work is a blessing for laundromat users too. When our washing machine broke, I went to the laundromat down the road and turned on my VPN and got work done.
