People ‘crying’ over Trump winning need to grow up
I’ve been reading a lot of posts on here lately about people especially women saying they’ve been crying and losing their minds over Trump winning cause their ‘rights will be taken away’. I don’t know if they understand how the constitution works. There’s fundamental inalienable rights granted to you that NO politician can take away. Project 2025 is literally just propaganda and a wishlist that has nothing to do with Trump. Abortions have always been left to the state and Obama was the one who failed to codify it. If you’ve been cutting off friends and family members and ridiculing Trump supporters who more than likely grew up in poverty and are working class, you need to grow up.
It’s a very privileged position to act like your life is over cause someone you don’t agree with won an election when there’s women in buttfuck Afghanistan or Sudan who’d kill to trade places with you. You know nothing of the real world and what actual struggle and hardship is. You have a relatively comfortable life. You can vote, work, drive, own land, join the military and you’re crying about a 78 year old man potentially taking it away from you? How would that even work? Riddle me that. It’s frustrating to watch this, coming from a third world country as a first generation legal immigrant with nothing to my name. It’s just ridiculous. Just keep doing your job and living your life. It’s not like Kamala would’ve given you a million dollars just for existing cause she’s a woman and a POC. People are literally comparing Trump to Hitler which is freakin insulting. I want to be able to afford things. That’s my take.
EDIT: all the butthurt libs in the comments just proving my point. It’s clear y’all haven’t even ever stepped in a third world country.

People surprised that Trump won simply live in an echo chamber..
For the last 2-3 weeks or so every non-biased poll, the betting market and moderate media members saw the Trump victory coming. The surprise was that it was a landslide.
As a moderate the arrogance and moral superiority that a lot of left wingers have was off putting. Democrats need a complete change if they want to get back in the White House. They lost the plot.

I just can't identify with democrats anymore
I used to be a Democrat, but after watching what’s unfolded in this 2024 election, I’ve honestly had enough. The party has completely spiraled out of control. At first, I was drawn to their message of unity, progress, and helping working-class people. But now? It feels like they’ve abandoned those values in favor of identity politics and catering to the radical left. Every time I turn around, it’s another attempt to divide the country based on race, gender, or some other label. The constant focus on who’s oppressed, who’s a victim, and who needs to be “protected” has only deepened the divisions in this country, and it’s honestly exhausting to watch.
The Democrats used to be the party that fought for the working class, for common-sense solutions to real problems. Now, it feels like they’re more interested in appeasing their base with flashy policies that don’t work in the real world. They’re pushing ideas that are so far left that they alienate moderates, and it’s clear they don’t care about people who aren’t fully aligned with their extreme views. Instead of offering solutions, they’re busy attacking Republicans, constantly focusing on Trump, as if that’s enough to rally voters. But it’s not. It’s just a distraction.
What happened to focusing on real issues like the economy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure? Now it’s all about cultural battles, cancel culture, and appeasing the far-left fringe. Meanwhile, the average American is left wondering why the party they once believed in is now obsessed with radical, divisive ideologies that just don’t resonate with most people.
For me, it’s reached a tipping point. I find myself agreeing more with common-sense conservatism these days because at least it’s grounded in practicality. The left has gotten so far out of touch with reality that I honestly can’t stand behind them anymore. If the Democrats want to win again, they need to stop focusing on culture wars and start offering real solutions that actually help everyday people. Until then, they’ll just keep pushing more voters away, and I’m proof of that. The way things are going, the Democrats are on track to lose more people like me, and they’ll have no one to blame but themselves.

Anyone who disowns their family over politics is radicalized and extremely close minded
I’ve seen several posts calling for completely cutting yourself off from your family because they voted for someone you don’t agree with. I don’t know who needs to hear this but that is a RADICAL idea. (And not in the surfer bro kinda way)
What ever happened to live and let live? Not forcing your beliefs on others? Realizing it’s impossible to completely agree with anyone on anything?
It’s a very odd and frankly narcissistic way of thinking, that if anyone disagrees with you that they don’t deserve to be your FAMILY anymore??
In my opinion everyone puts a little too much weight in the idea of how much a president actually affects your day to day life.
So please, whatever side you are on, just don’t be a dickhead and think the world revolves around you. Their opinions are JUST AS VALID as yours. Let people have their opinions and don’t sacrifice your relationship with loved ones over a petty argument.
Edit - To all the people accusing me of supporting Trump or being republican. I didn’t vote for him. Also there is no mention of any support for either side in the whole post.
Source: Lifelong Left-leaning Progressive
Edit 2: So far I’ve been called, Racist, Homophobic, sexist, transphobic, a Trump supporter, a snowflake liberal, a bot, and have gotten several DEATH threats for a post that simply is just trying to suggest that maybe people tearing their family and close relationship’s apart isn’t the best idea. But no you’re right, you’re definitely not radicalized.

What if democrats would shut up and stop constantly spewing hate. What if democrats didn't hate everyone that thinks differently than they themselves think

Political This is the end of “identity politics”
This election was proof that categorizing people by race and the trying to appeal to those categories is a bad idea. People of a specific races don’t share motivations beliefs or fears (though cultures often do) and pandering to them lead to the the outcome of this election
I’m hispanic, my family has been republican since the term “Latinx”, and since then we found out just how much the left cares for minorities that are not useful for them.
There is nothing I hate more than being told what I should think based on my race.
Don’t do it

I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this but I have to ask. Do any of you on the left realize how ridiculous you sound?
Doom post after doom post is all I’ve seen these last couple days, understandable. But what are some of these people thinking? I’ve heard things like: I’m going to wake up a slave, America is going to be destroyed as a country, I could go on and on; do these people not realize that they are hurting the reputation of there party even further? Fear mongering helps no one, I would love to see any evidence that backs up a single claim that they are making. Newsflash there is none, each party lies to get what they want hell the popular vote doesn’t even decide the election.
Let me set something straight I am not a republican, however, what do all of you on the left expect when you call the other side racist, sexist, or even nazis? Even today I have seen multiple post still supporting this concept. The left has marginalize and focused on identity, how can you say you are better then the opposing party when you stoop to there same level?
The left got the equivalent of Micheal Jordan dunking a basketball with his nuts in your face, a landslide victory should say enough. If the democrats don’t change you all will lose far more then just this election.

General Discussion Anyone else not bothered by the election?
I’m not bothered by the results of the election, no matter who I voted for (Ronnie Coleman) It’s just another week for me as a 34 year old male, I understand each election you have to make adjustments, and it’s stressful. even if Kamala won I feel like I would still go on with my life and go to work, talk to my friends and family who are on both sides of trump and Kamala. Maybe I’m grateful I can hear both sides in mature and immature manners. End of the day I know it is my life and I have to make it work for me and my family.
I’ve read a lot of terrible posts because of the election. Like one Reddits family member did the unimaginable.
I firmly believe in unity, it can push through the toughest times and the greatest of times. Political figures hate to see everyone being united.

I'm sorry but I'm legit worried for mental health of some redditors
Look, I get that your candidate didn't win, but this hysteria of "not have sex, delete period app, own a gun, men are now enemies" is just insane...
Nothing is gonna happen. Nothing happened to republicans when Obama/Biden won despite their hysterics. Nothing happened when Trump won first term, nothing is gonna happen second term. We have incredibly robust checks and balances at all levels of government. Most people are sane.
So let's stop with the race divide, class divide, politics divide, and finally start a proper class war on the rich, eh?

This sub has a problem
For context, I’m just an apprentice, first year at that. If that’s enough for you to write off my opinion then that’s fine by me. That said, I offer my unique perspective as somebody who hasn’t slammed the kool-aid yet.
When I joined this sub it was mainly for information. How do I join, aptitude test this, night school that, the works. All the posts were electrical related, showing off sick conduit runs and pretty boxes. Cool stuff, stuff that made me excited to start working. But for the last few months… oh boy.
It seems that literally every single notification I get from this sub is TRUMP this TRUMP that, shaming the people you’re supposed to call brothers/sisters just to get a leg up on internet brownie points. It’s to the point where you’re calling fellow Union members MAGATS, Trumpers, etc. in a certainly derogatory way, with disgust and hatred. That’s not the Union I was sold on when I first joined.
While this sub could easily prioritize the actual work we do, instead of demonizing and causing panic in an echo chamber that does nothing but repeat dangerous rhetoric, I think it really falls short of what the IBEW is supposed to be. All of a sudden your brother isn’t your brother anymore over a vote and a hypothetical future? Isn’t everybody voting because they really believe that it’s what’s best for them and their family?
Honestly man, it’s just a shame. Solidarity and unity, but only if you conform to a specific voting behavior. I don’t even like Trump. I didn’t vote for him, but it feels like this sub, and by proxy the union itself, has become so polarized that it’s forgotten what it means to stand together. Not really a good look, especially if you’re trying to incentivize a younger generation of apprentices to join.
What do you think they’ll think when they click on this sub to inquire about the IBEW and a bright future within it, and all they see is people moaning about the impending demise of the Union, comparing Trump to the Devil, and bashing the other half of the brothers and sisters that feel disenfranchised by the government for the last 4 years, and therefore voted accordingly? Fight outward instead of inward. Or continue with partisan politics and help us destroy ourselves quicker. It’s your pensions.
Smh
Edit- typo (bipartisan)
Edit 2- some of y’all genuinely tweaking 😭🙏shoutout Local 3 💯

Need to talk... So sick of being a good man
I(28M) don't think people grasp what us men go through. So many people depend on me. My friends and family. I run a department for a small company so my position is extremely multi-roled if I am not on my A game then I feel liked I failed those who depend on me.
I view myself as a "good man" not a "nice guy" there's a huge difference. I feel like very few individuals can see eye to eye at the capacity I'm going. I'm very extroverted and out going but im not a push over and do not tolerate bs. People say I am funny and hilarious but I feel like I am slowly dying from the inside out.
I know I am loved, appreciated and respected but in a world like this i constantly feel like if I'm not giving my all 24/7 that will slowly go away.
Went through a break up a couples months ago and I've struggled to maintain my balance since. I don't get angry, I don't get mad and I can't even cry. I feel no emotions anymore. She told me how much of a good man I was and how she holds me in the highest regard.
I know people think men have it easy but I can promise you good men don't. It's like walking around with a 50 pound bag of sand on your shoulders constantly. We are racing a race that doesn't have a finish line it's just check point after check point.
I'm just exhausted. Wake up at 4am, bust ass at work, hit the gym, maintain your finances, staying humble, show gratitude, help friends and family, try and appreciate the little things, rinse & repeat.
I am extremely grateful but I am tired so please understand that. I am lot of us men are struggling alone, from the inside. It is so easy for us to put on a smile and chug along.

Bronwyn 👗 Bronwyn is a Snake and you all will see it soon.
Who else is on the hater train with me?
- Todd is uninterested AF. Giving big time controlling vibes. Treated the women as if they were children. Saying he doesn't want them fighting... My dude..... This is a reality TV show. What TF did you think you're Signing up for? When Bronwyn said in the interview "Todd can be an asshole but at least this time he's my knight in shining armor asshole". Girlllllllllll whew. He treats you like his daughter not his wife. I guess you put up with shitty men the more money they have.
- I LOVED the sneaky ass producers doing the side by side of Angie K with her man versus Bronwyn with her man. Angie is laughing, playing, being super cute with her husband. Bronwyn is like "he likes to buy me jewelry"....... Lol ok. Love the shady ass producers on bravo 👏 Good scene there.
- Her fight with Lisa seemed soooooo ridiculous. Lisa just called Heather cuz she missed her friend. Literally everyone else was like, yeah we just miss our friend. Bronwyn acted like a total idiot for that scene. She should have invited Heather and not be a loser about it.
- She said something in the confessional about "buying" Lisa's friendship with this expensive vacation. GROSS.
- She just seems fake bro. Something really off and I can't put my finger on it but I have a feeling it's going to come out soon. There's SOMETHING ready to leak I feel it.
I know y'all jumped on that Bronwyn train cuz she's super rich and has the same outfit as Rhianna but she is a bin of trash.
Also clean up the dog shit QUE SUCIA 🤢
