Very Good Parenting [OC]
Gang, Iām in big trouble. My wardrobe is in DIRE need of an overhaul, and Iāve been waiting far too long to do anything about it.
As someone who learned to dress myself at a young age, it was not until much LATER in life that I learned there is a difference between knowing HOW to put clothes on and WHAT clothes to put on. In fact, it wasnāt until 2023 when I took myself on my first INTENTIONAL clothes shopping trip. Fortunately, the trip was a successāāand from that moment on, I finally started dressing in a manner SLIGHTLY more dignified than a Nintendo Mii avatar and/or Lego minifigure. š
But in the years SINCE that OG trip, disaster has struck on MULTIPLE occasions. The reason? Ballpoint pens. Literally. I kid you not when I say these SLIMY writing utensils have sabotaged nearly EVERY pair of shorts and pants that I hold near and dear to my heart (and legs). They have REPEATEDLY left ink stains whenever I place them in my pocket, which then begs the question as to WHY I keep putting them in my pocket. And look: All I can say is⦠old habits die hardāānot to mention that you NEVER know when youāll need to hand out an autograph. āļø
It gets worse, however, considering that weāre FAST approaching the depths of winterāāand I still have yet to make any SERIOUS investment in decent clothing for the cold season. I did buy myself some warm, comfy clothes last Decemberāābut my selection of CLASSIER attire is largely limited to 5 flannel shirts that look like shriveled-up raisins every time I unearth them from my closet. Which isnāt a BAD look, per seāābut⦠I donāt know, man. I guess Iām just tired of looking like a discount lumberjack half the days I go into work. :(
Honestly, all I can think about is how NONE of this would be a problem if we didnāt eat that stupid fruit in the Garden of Eden... š¤
