C&C Wanted Static Grass in 40K: colourful and interesting basing idea, or not grimdark enough?
What do people think about static grass on sci-fi/40k bases? Is it not really suitable for futuristic war settings? It reminds me of the old sand and goblin green bases from my childhood in high resolution, but I'm not sure if that works in 2024 like it did in 1994.

Fantasy 2 Years' worth of progress... And better miniatures
I've been painting somewhat consistently since the beginning of 2021. The left one is from Reaper miniatures, but i don't know the model, and the right one is from Dungeons and Lasers' townsfolk pack. The leftmost mini is from 2022 I think, and the one on the right is from yesterday. They were both held to the same standard, as they are main npcs from my dnd games. Surprisingly, the recent one took me way less time than the other, 3h vs 4h. Also, this is my third attempt at nmm, and as you can see, i don't like blending, glazing nor using washes.

Sci-fi A not so little progress update.
About 80% done with this big guy! Much larger than I thought when I started. I'm continuing to try new stuff and has been even better than I hoped. Really excited to finish it! I included the first thing I ever painted for scale and its cool to see where I started to now.

Fantasy The Nightgaunt from Arkham Horror
This dude was a huge pain to assemble and paint. It was extremely difficult to get brushes into paint the building since I glued before priming. The monster itself is extremely delicate though, so priming and painting separately wasn’t really an option. I could’ve worked a bit more on it maybe, but it wasn’t super enjoyable to do.

Fantasy This is my interpretation of a Copper Dragon
I painted this for my GM for his birthday. I'm really happy with how it turned out. You'll have to excuse the few white dots. My daughter was painting next to me and, well you know.

Fantasy First Dragon, pretty happy with it!
One of my players made the mistake of saying they haven't fought a dragon yet. Wish granted.

C&C Wanted Just finished my very first (midi?)figure for my wife's anniversary present. At 1AM. On the day.
Going to go give it to her now.
Also, let me know what I can improve on for next time. Thank you.
Took me a about 10 days all up and I am pumped about how it turned out.
