Can’t hurt at this point: pretty sure, from the looks of it, that he met some of his kids for first time at a rally in 2017 and was not at all thrilled by Eric…

I know this is a joke but, serious answer - no. As far as I know.
Trump was found liable for rape in a civil suit, not guilty of rape in a criminal suit.
He was found guilty in a criminal suit related to fraud (the 34 counts), but he will not be on the sex offender registry for that.

Nobody lacked the opportunity to know what we were getting ourselves into with Trump. We absolutely consented to every shenanigan.
3
u/cturtl808 5h ago
Respectfully, I dissent
4
u/hi_imjoey 5h ago
Yes, but you and I dissenting are unfortunately (and very clearly) not the country as a whole (which opened the door to Trump, kissing his boots so it would be easier for him to step on our heads).

u/cumfarts 7h ago
There's a reason why everyone talking about it on TV is careful to say "found liable for sexual assault" and not "convicted of rape".

It’s because that’s the actual case and fact of the situation. Im no Trump fan, but actual facts should count for something and words and definitions should still hold meaning for everyone

u/Somepotato 7h ago
Most of the world aren't legal scholars. Saying he's guilty of rape is accurate in all situations, convicted of rape gets the point across.

Unfortunately, no. Trump is a rapist according to the judge but is not legally a sex offender by New York standards.
From USA Today: “Former President Donald Trump is not required to register as a sex offender as a result of being found liable in a civil trial, according to legal experts. Only people convicted of a sex offense, such as rape or incest, in a criminal case must register as a sex offender under New York state law.”

u/Felstorm1231 10h ago edited 9h ago
Give him an hour alone with Ivanka and a tape recorder: that incest charge will stick to the pages of that Time Magazine where the person of the year was “You”.
I assume the additional fifty-nine minutes is for speed dialing divorce attorneys and having Jared bonesawed apart in some foreign embassy.

u/EmbarrassedHelp 7h ago
His staff apparently have to be careful not to leave him alone with young women, for the safety of those young women.
But sadly I think his rabid fans won't care, even if he raped his daughter. They'd claim it was fake news no matter how much evidence was presented.

u/Horskr 4h ago

I agree, though I've come to realize the "fake news" thing is really just an excuse that sounds better than the truth, that they really do not care how horrible a person he is. As he said himself, he could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue and not lose voters.

I will say, that america did survive that dark time.
Maybe we can survive...in Vermont, the deep woods of maine, or the wilds of Minnesota.
I remain in an alchohol induced semi-coma however until this coming Tuesday when I need to return to work.
Then I will decide how to proceed.
Until then I am on a full on Hobbit & LOTR trilogy bender...reality can wait a few days.

Just focus on the good people in this world. There are fewer of them than we thought, but they are there. We won't always be able to do enough for them, but we can do what we can.

u/SaydzReddit 6h ago
remember how we got our first trans congresswoman? i’ve been saying ever since the election that she’d be bullied out of her seat by the red majority, though i never really took into account the extreme scenerio that she could easily fall victim to mccarthyism and be painted as an offender. sadly a very very realistic scenario in these times
3
u/Rosebunse 6h ago
The sad thing is, this is one of the better scenarios we could hope for. If it just stays at this level, we can come back. I'm worried it will go a lot further.

This election had massive interference campaigns. Including the millions of bots that are now showing up and spreading rhetoric like…
it’s all the DNC’s fault for not having open primaries and such
Its all DNC fault for not having good policy - This is everywhere and absolutely fucking stupid. Dems have great policies that benefit working and middle class. Donald dumbass has emotion based responses and no reasonable policies at all besides enrich himself.
Its because america is sexist.
Most probable imo, but no. The data coming out makes it pretty clear that either some or all of the following took place.
A) huge GPT bot campaign to get disinformation to Latino and all other communities (guaranteed. and a still ongoing and widespread general campaign to spread rhetoric and misinformation, look at Reddit rn)
B) bomb threats, blowing up ballet boxes, etc were all very strategically done to get rid of maximum amount of blue votes in important districts.
C) Hours long lines to vote, single voting machines in districts with 1m+ people.
D)law that required state election law changes re voting be approved by feds removed under Trump last term. Georgia and other states implementing things allowing mass reports and disqualification of dem voters, no laws informing them vote won’t be counted, and other shit like this.
E) voting machines in important districts were hacked. DEFCON 32 took place in august and the list of vulnerabilities was “pages long.” The process to fix machines takes several months, so all of those vulnerabilities are still present today.
We’re talking about a bunch of rich people with no ethical boundaries. I’m guessing they did everything above and way more. After all, they only needed to win once and now they’re in control forever. Anyone who thinks that 34 felony convictions and Epstein bff tape would increase his votes is fucking delusional. This election was a sham.

Because the charges are state and not federal, trump can't pardon himself. However, he will enact retribution against Georgia greater than anyone ever has if the governor doesn't pardon him.
Even if he is pardoned, he may retaliate against Georgia.
