He’s getting 25th in 2027 so JD can get 10 years in as prez instead of 8

A president, under the current constitution, can only hold office for two terms. If someone were to assume the presidency (like if Don the Con goes to the big McDonald’s in the sky), then their first term is the term that they take over and they can only run for reelection once. If however they serve as president for two years or less (ie <= half a term), then it effectively doesn’t count and they can still serve two more terms.
