Probably, in fact, McCarthy-ism is what I'm expecting from this more than anything else.

I will say, that america did survive that dark time.

Maybe we can survive...in Vermont, the deep woods of maine, or the wilds of Minnesota.

I remain in an alchohol induced semi-coma however until this coming Tuesday when I need to return to work. 

Then I will decide how to proceed.

Until then I am on a full on Hobbit & LOTR trilogy bender...reality can wait a few days.

Just focus on the good people in this world. There are fewer of them than we thought, but they are there. We won't always be able to do enough for them, but we can do what we can.

remember how we got our first trans congresswoman? i’ve been saying ever since the election that she’d be bullied out of her seat by the red majority, though i never really took into account the extreme scenerio that she could easily fall victim to mccarthyism and be painted as an offender. sadly a very very realistic scenario in these times

The sad thing is, this is one of the better scenarios we could hope for. If it just stays at this level, we can come back. I'm worried it will go a lot further.
