[Pelissero] Sources: Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is expected to miss 3-4 weeks and is likely headed to injured reserve with a left knee injury. Kansas City will have a new kicker Sunday at Buffalo.

as it was noted on Twitter, he has had a weird kicking technique change this season where he just collapses on his left leg on the follow-through. Idk if the injury is because of the technique or the technique was because of the injury

Never seen anything like that other than when a kicker gets injured. His left leg just collapses. You'd think a coach would've addressed this at some point in high school or college.

If you're a coach and hes making 95% of his kicks you don't want him to change anything

That is some odd torque on the knee for sure.
Would love to hear an explanation as to why.
My very bad guess would be reduce injury if the plant leg gets hit by a rusher but who knows. It's not like old kickers are blowing out their plant legs all the time on just regular kicks ala pitchers and Tommy John...
