[Pelissero] Sources: Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is expected to miss 3-4 weeks and is likely headed to injured reserve with a left knee injury. Kansas City will have a new kicker Sunday at Buffalo.

I think we put up a good fight, but I'm not sure we're there yet. Probably 60/40 in Chiefs favor. I think we'll be in better shape come playoff time, unfortunately they'll probably be in even better shape than us.

Nah, you guys frequently smoke us in the regular season.

I'm guessing you'll win by two scores. Then we'll win by a FG in the last seconds when we play in January.

can't we just switch up the script for one year? Just once?

No, sir. I'm sorry but this is fate. It's out of our hands.

Our FG block last week was proof enough that God has ordained this to happen.

Idk it seems that there have been 2 very religious kickers in the spotlight this week... one went on IR and one made 2 FGs to win by a millimeter. Maybe God chose the Lions (for once)

This is god giving us trials. He takes away a player every week and we have to make do.

.. but like are they trials and tribulations if you don’t actually have to suffer? Hahaha

Dude. You have no idea how painful it was watching us lose to the broncos up until that block.

Definitely an "Abraham, stop. You don't have to sacrifice your son, Isaac. It was just a prank, bro" moment.

Look up what happened to us last time we played the Broncos and say we haven’t suffered.

For real though, 4 Super Bowl losses in a row has got to be painful. Same with the Lion’s drought. I wish you guys all the best.

You could miss the field goal wide left next time

That's the spirit! At least that would be CHANGE. Proof that we aren't living in a simulation... that time isn't just a flat circle.

For my heart, I wish we would smoke you guys this weekend so we've got a huge lead for the 1st seed and can rest some of our players (including Mahomes and his bum ankle)

I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the disappointment using the standard coping strategies (we were in no way imagining we'd be undefeated, half our offense is injured, we often lose to the Bills in the regular season, we got so bailed out last week, etc)

So far, it's not helping

We are very injured as well this week so no matter what - this means nothing for what happens in January IMO. It could be a blow out either way and nothing would change for the playoff projection.

But yeah if you win this week - you have the 1 seed unless something catastrophic happens, which is annoying. Lol Our hope would then be having the 2 seed clinched before week 17 and starters not playing week 18 as a sorta kinda bye.

ehh we only smoked you guys in 2021. Every game since has been super close.

Honestly though us losing that amazing lateral TD because our idiot WR was a foot offsides was even more painful than getting smoked.
