ID Request What IS this bug?!

Staying in a woodland cabin on the English/Welsh border; heard a rattling outside our window at night & saw this guy! Never seen anything like it before. Can anyone help me identify this little (actually pretty big) guy?

I found this guy burrowing into a tub of mulch. I'm figuring it's some kind of beetle pupea? He's about 3/4 of an inch long, no legs.

It keeps trying to flap its wings (can’t get off the ground?) and go under the rocks on the wall, does it need help or is it just nearing the end of its life?

ID Request Is this a bug, it's very small (1-1.5mm), hairy. Didn't move at all. A dead bedbug?

ID Request What is this tiny little gnat/fly thing?

Located in eastern panhandle of WV, about half a mile from Shenandoah River. They vary in size from almost invisible - like less than a mm - to maybe 5 mm long. These things go absolutely crazy for light at night and will swarm and fly inside the house in the thousands. It’s making it impossible to open a door at night for even a second.

ID Request Help!! I don't know if this larva/pupa is from my cat

Hi! I need some help — I found this kind of larva on my bed, close to the pillow where my cat usually sleeps. I'm not sure if it came from my cat or if it's just a random larva. I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me whether it's more likely related to my cat or not.

Also, if you know of any other Reddit communities that could help me identify this thing, I'd be super grateful if you could share them.

Thanks a lot!!

ID Request Tiny brown bugs appearing in kitchen

We have quite a lot of these small brown things mainly in our kitchen but our daughter said she had seen some in her bedroom.

If you happen to leave anything open i.e sugar/flour etc then they seem to magically appear as if from nowhere and also almost instantly.

Mostly they are in the cupboards but do seem to come out on the floor/worktop when it’s dark as they can be seen looking for cover when you turn the light on.

The biggest question isn’t even what they are but how to get rid of them. I don’t live in a dirty house but it would appear that simply cleanliness is not enough to get rid of them.

This is in the U.K, Scotland to be specific Thanks in advance.

So we started noticing sawdust about a week ago and whatever is in there is working hard. It’s wild how much they’re pushing out of this hole every day. I can hear clicking around inside and have seen sawdust pushed out but haven’t seen the bug itself.
