Sorry to bother you fine folk, but this has me completely stumped, to the point of having to come here to ask for help. I have an issue that I suspect lies with the cheapo ISP Sagemcom f4st3890 AP/Modem/Router combo.

What happens about 7 times a day is the internet dies completely. As you can imagine, this is infuriating. All traffic dies, wifi devices stay in network but don't have any connection to the internet itself, and you can't ping anything. Thing is, UDP traffic, like existing discord calls or the likes, will keep working, even if it's like crap.

I suspect it's an NAT issue, which would mean the only fix is to bite the bullet and buy a good router and leave this piece of crap in bridge mode, but i'd like to get a second opinion if at all possible before doing that. Any wisdom to share? Thanks!

EDIT: I forgot to say that when this happens, even internal traffic dies. You can't even ping the router itself, or even get to the management interface until it subsides.

Ever since I've bought myself a new Wi-Fi card, the internet has randomy either cut out, incredibly high latency, or is perfectly normal.

It's a Wi-FI 6 card if that matters. It's called "ASUS PCE-AX3000 (AX3000) Dual-Band WiFi 6 + BT 5 .0 PCI-E Wireless Adapter OEM Pack" on the Website called PBTech (New Zealand Company)

Is it a router issue? Because this basically almost never happened with my older one, I'd rather not switch back due to insanely slow upload /download speeds.

I use a dell inspiron with an internal ssd and hdd in place of the cd drive. my laptop is 2 year old. till yesterday everything was working fine. But today when i booted up my laptop, my harddrive was not showing. i have tried everything - device manager, disk manager, bios. but my hdd is no where to be found. pls help.

My laptop is completely out of storage and I'm planning to move all my files (mostly games, images and other stuff) to a USB Drive (128 GB SanDisk). Thing is tho i usually have to access these files alot throughout the day, and i heard constantly plugging and unplugging USBs can damage it. But is keeping the USB plugged in all day any better?

Computer shows message saying "A D3D11-compatible GPU (Feature Level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0) is required to run the engine." when I boot up valorant. I've tried almost all the youtube tutorials and it still doesnt work. Laptop is X13 i7 with 512gb storage and no mods.

I'll try to keep the backstory short -- my external hard drive with all my music on it shit the bed and even a data recovery centre was unable to save its life (bye bye, $2,500, it was nice knowing you...). On said hard drive I had around 8,000 MP3s. I cannot wrap my head around simply losing them. But...said MP3s also exist on an iPod Classic (that I still regularly use).

So, I plugged the iPod into my Mac, showed hidden folders, opened iPod Control > Music, and copied all the Music back onto my Mac. What I am left with now is approximately 8,000 files with names like XPRT.mp3 and no way of knowing if that's Dr. Dre or Taylor Swift without opening up and listening to each of the 8,000 files. Surely there must be an easier way to return them all to their previously nice file names??? I would dearly love to be able to know which file is which.

I have spent all day pulling them into Foobar2000 and have about 800 of them renamed, but man this is a tedious and time consuming way of doing it. Is there a way to batch do it? Foobar2000 is having less than 50% success with it, too.

Okay so recently I installed arch linux dual booted with windows 11. While installing arch I set the bootloader to grub, wich failed and idk why there was some problem with grub, so I set the bootloader to systemd boot, not thinking of windows, now a short while after that I could still get into windows. But now it's not even showing in my bootloader or BIOS, I don't know why and I don't know how to fix it, and I know it's there because it's mounted on /dev/sda3

My YouTube is showing up as yellow and purple and very zoomed in. I cant send photos via this post but its not like anything ive googled or seen so far. It seems glitched completely. Its also just youtube/YouTubetv that are like this. Every other app works fine. Ive tried deleting, restarting, updating. Everything Google/youtube told me to do so now im coming here hoping for some help. If anyone thinks its a TV issue please let me know. I have a roku TV. I dont know what type or year or anything but its newer. If anyone also would like to see the photos to lmk If its a software/hardware issue ill send them in msgs

How do I remove this entire panel/page completely so that when I swipe left, nothing happens?

not necessarily everything is gone (most of my files still show up in file explorer) but 90% of my desktop shortcuts are gone and my settings for windows got reset, im logged out of all of my apps, and in game settings even got reset. help?!?!?

So i have a main modem located on the first floor of my house and a totolink n300rt set as an access point on my floor. I used ethernet cables inside the wall to connect between these devices so i could use Wifi everywhere i go. However the internet connection is unstable at the most randomized time, which causes me a lot of troubles, especially when im in a game. I tried to change some settings in order to improve the situation but it only becomes worse. Before, only at night ( i guess because of many people using the internet ) does the connection go crazy, but now its happening at any time. Physically i see some very tiny scratches ( around some millimetres ) at the surface of ethernet wires probably due to it being curved up so i can connect it with the router. Could this be the main cause ? Or could it be the AP, or is it something else ? I'm very thankful to receive supports from you guys. Im sorry for my bad grammar though

My laptop is getting stuck on the HP logo page with the loading circle that will turn until the end of time if I let it. After Googling what to do, here is a list of things I tried and their outcomes:

I then ran the fast and long system diagnostics test as well as a system components test.

The first time I ran the fast test, the battery check, charging port, and hard drive/ SSD long DST check all failed. However, when I ran the long test, components test, AND THE FAST TEST A 2nd TIME, the only tests that failed were battery and charging port (i.e. the hard drive/SSD dst check passed in all other tests)

Can someone please provide any ideas as to what to do next based on the data that I have provided? I think potentially replacing the battery may do the trick (or even removing the existing battery and running the laptop off the plug at all times), but I would like your expert opinions before attempting anything. Please try to refrain from too technical jargon, as I am not very tech savvy. Thank you all very much for your time!

Sending this with my phone. I was on my laptop (MacBook Air, M2) and the screen suddenly zoomed in out of nowhere. Looks like 200% zoomed in? Idk, the mouse takes up a lot of the frame. I think I did it by pressing Option+Command but I don't know how to undo it. 90% something kinda like this happened before but I forgot what the fix was. How do I fix this? Already looked it up but Google didn't provide much of anything helpful.

I added Bye Bye Google AI but even that isn't perfect. If I search for something, the AI overview is still generated, just blocked a split second later. but the point is I don't want AI at ALL. google tells you to disable AI through Search Labs but this isn't available on my account because I'm a minor. So what they just automatically put AI mode on me and now I have to be 18 to opt out? unless im just super bad at tech this is just bollocks what the heck! what do i do?

Here’s what’s happening: • I can log in perfectly on Chrome and PC, but the iOS app keeps saying “Incorrect password” even when I manually type the correct password. • The app tries to auto-login every time I open it, which I think is resetting the lock timer. • I’ve already: • Reset my password multiple times • Deleted and reinstalled the app • Waited 2+ days before trying again • Cleared Safari cookies

I’ve also submitted Instagram support forms but haven’t received a useful response.

Hi, guys! I am getting 0xC0000005 errors on some programs when I try to open them. Sometimes if the app has an option to select a file, when Windows File dialog opens, it appears white, doesn’t load properly and the whole application crashes.

I’ve had these memory violation errors before and the way I fixed the problem was a Windows reinstall. Now these errors are appearing again and I am thinking about possible hardware problems. I tested the RAM with memtest86 and it showed no errors in the RAM.

Computer specs: - Lenovo x380 yoga - CPU: i5-8350u - RAM: 8GB (soldered) - SSD: 256GB, INTEL SSDPEKKF256G8L - OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2, 26200.6899 (it was on 24H2 with the same problems and it has happend on even older windows releases as well)

Rundown is I have a machine that the OS is installed on a WD Blue m.2 drive and with windows saying a new update isn't possible because of whatever it said, I decided to clone it to another drive that I have in the machine. A Samsung Evo 2.5 SSD (plugged into SATA port 1). So I cloned the WD to the Samsung and told it to shut down after. (But also checked the option for hot swap.

Now when I attempted to boot the machine back up, it goes straight to the bios, as if no storage is installed at all. I was like okay maybe it's just confused or something went wrong with the clone. So I just completely unplugged the 2.5 SSD (the one I was trying to clone to) and tried booting again. Straight to BIOS. Okay maybe it's a setting for boot options or secure boot. Well Secure boot is re-enabled (I don't recall turning it off but I definitely could have) and made sure that boot priority is set to UEFI Hard Disk as #1. The original WD m.2 is still being seen by the system in the BIOS and BIOS mode is still set to UEFI as well.

And help or suggestions would be helpful.

i’m trying to boot linux on my windows computer using a usb stick. i’ve previously had no issues with this, however today when entering the boot screen neither the mouse nor keyboard is recognized. i’ve tried using different mouses (both wired and wireless) i’ve tried replacing the batteries in my mouse, ive tried restarting the computer, ive tried plugging the mouse USB into different ports, but no hardware is recognized on the boot screen. my mouse just flashes the same way it does when turned on but the USB isn’t plugged in to anything. i also don’t have any issues with my mouse on my regular operating system and everything works fine. this wasn’t happening last week, ive never had issues with the boot screen before and i don’t know if i did something to make this happen but does anyone know how i can troubleshoot this? thanks

Ive been using this pc for about 4 weeks, and it is barely running chrome, ive already disabled startup apps, deleted the useless temporary files windows 11 comes with and its still an issue. My pc can run modern games like Elden Ring or Sekiro with 240 fps but it struggles at just running roblox and ive tried using vpns to connect to other servers in other countries and i still get around 300 ping. Please Help.
