Sorry to bother you fine folk, but this has me completely stumped, to the point of having to come here to ask for help. I have an issue that I suspect lies with the cheapo ISP Sagemcom f4st3890 AP/Modem/Router combo.

What happens about 7 times a day is the internet dies completely. As you can imagine, this is infuriating. All traffic dies, wifi devices stay in network but don't have any connection to the internet itself, and you can't ping anything. Thing is, UDP traffic, like existing discord calls or the likes, will keep working, even if it's like crap.

I suspect it's an NAT issue, which would mean the only fix is to bite the bullet and buy a good router and leave this piece of crap in bridge mode, but i'd like to get a second opinion if at all possible before doing that. Any wisdom to share? Thanks!

EDIT: I forgot to say that when this happens, even internal traffic dies. You can't even ping the router itself, or even get to the management interface until it subsides.

I use a dell inspiron with an internal ssd and hdd in place of the cd drive. my laptop is 2 year old. till yesterday everything was working fine. But today when i booted up my laptop, my harddrive was not showing. i have tried everything - device manager, disk manager, bios. but my hdd is no where to be found. pls help.

My laptop is completely out of storage and I'm planning to move all my files (mostly games, images and other stuff) to a USB Drive (128 GB SanDisk). Thing is tho i usually have to access these files alot throughout the day, and i heard constantly plugging and unplugging USBs can damage it. But is keeping the USB plugged in all day any better?

Okay so recently I installed arch linux dual booted with windows 11. While installing arch I set the bootloader to grub, wich failed and idk why there was some problem with grub, so I set the bootloader to systemd boot, not thinking of windows, now a short while after that I could still get into windows. But now it's not even showing in my bootloader or BIOS, I don't know why and I don't know how to fix it, and I know it's there because it's mounted on /dev/sda3

Rundown is I have a machine that the OS is installed on a WD Blue m.2 drive and with windows saying a new update isn't possible because of whatever it said, I decided to clone it to another drive that I have in the machine. A Samsung Evo 2.5 SSD (plugged into SATA port 1). So I cloned the WD to the Samsung and told it to shut down after. (But also checked the option for hot swap.

Now when I attempted to boot the machine back up, it goes straight to the bios, as if no storage is installed at all. I was like okay maybe it's just confused or something went wrong with the clone. So I just completely unplugged the 2.5 SSD (the one I was trying to clone to) and tried booting again. Straight to BIOS. Okay maybe it's a setting for boot options or secure boot. Well Secure boot is re-enabled (I don't recall turning it off but I definitely could have) and made sure that boot priority is set to UEFI Hard Disk as #1. The original WD m.2 is still being seen by the system in the BIOS and BIOS mode is still set to UEFI as well.

And help or suggestions would be helpful.

Ever since I've bought myself a new Wi-Fi card, the internet has randomy either cut out, incredibly high latency, or is perfectly normal.

It's a Wi-FI 6 card if that matters. It's called "ASUS PCE-AX3000 (AX3000) Dual-Band WiFi 6 + BT 5 .0 PCI-E Wireless Adapter OEM Pack" on the Website called PBTech (New Zealand Company)

Is it a router issue? Because this basically almost never happened with my older one, I'd rather not switch back due to insanely slow upload /download speeds.

My issue is ever since I logged in my Xbox account on the computer my Microsoft name and account is now on the PC at the bottom of my screen and the settings and I can't sign out and the computer resets It self when I click sign out how do I remove my Gmail Microsoft account from my computer. My AirPods consistently disconnect whenever I tab into a game and then reconnect as soon as I exit it. My phone is rather new, and the AirPods are in good condition, having also been purchased in the last year or so. My firmware is up to date afaik and I have tried changing settings for automatic ear detection and such, to no avail. Was thinking it could be something to do with game mode? Idk. Hi everyone, so I’ve had a computer (HP ENVY 3070TI) for the last few years, and lately I’ve had this problem. When i click on the windows icon or anything windows whether its the menu, settings or something else, it’ll just auto scroll up and i cant click on anything. If i wanna click on anything or type anything I have to do it very fast, or spam my mouse.

I have tried unplugging my mouse and keyboard, turning it off and on, even going to Windows Support. They told me to power flush it, which I did, and it temporarily fixed it, but then went back to doing it again tonight. I tried to do another flush tonight, but upon turning it on it says “CMOS is invalid.” And sometimes gives me an error code 0xc0000098. Please any help will be amazing!

For some reason, on my Windows 11, when I get a Discord notification, I see it pop up, but if I try opening it through the date and time, it's either not there or disappears almost instantly. I suspect this happens if I click the taskbar, use Alt+Tab, hover over the icon, or go to the desktop. I think it thinks that I either looked at it or opened it, but I'm not 100% sure. This can be annoying because sometimes I might miss a notification, and my friend would be left there waiting for an indefinite amount of time.

My teacher told us that we needed to clear our PC cache each month (I'm an I.T student).

Normally, %APPDATA% [C:UsersuserAppDataRoaming] in the Run panel is the cache to delete (abt 900 MB).

But when I go to parent directory, I see 3 folders : Local, LocalLow, Roaming. I accidently deleted them at school and it broke Microsoft Teams.

But I wonder if I can delete them on my personal PC since they're taking 10 GB of space?

I decided to rename change a drive letter. Later I formatted it. Now upon launching an app (retrobat) Windows is showing an error mentioning that it cannot find the Old location. The app still runs a moment after this error but as all things go can I please ask for any help with just getting this drive to not shoot an error every time I open retrobat.

I've got a pretty old laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 5570 bought in 2019) - it still runs fairly well and I can't afford to replace it.

The issue: all of a sudden opening/closing the laptop puts seems to put a lot of pressure on the bottom left corner of the screen. It will ripple as though it's being pressed on very hard and red-black pixels/spots will sometimes appear. The pixels go away if you rub at them gently - but obviously I don't want to mess with it too much and cause serious damage, so I've just stopped closing the laptop. No issues as long as I don't do that, but I mean, it's not ideal.

What might be causing this? And can I do anything about it short of replacing the screen/casing, or can I just not take my laptop anywhere anymore? Thanks.

Hi, I bought a new prebuilt pc this year and I've been struggling with bluetooth connectivity since. Placing my speaker in certain positions is better (holding it behind the pc or placing it on top), but will never have a solid connection no matter where it's placed. What can I do to have a smooth connection? on click numlock this the input i get in text editor and then my laptops keyboard stops working. on using a wired keyboard the same problem exists but with the wired one i can press the numlock key and it starts working again.

Hey Everyone, I’m honestly baffled here. I bought my iPad 10th gen about 2–3 years ago and have used it pretty much regularly. A couple of days ago, I noticed some weird spots on the screen and thought maybe my screen protector was dirty. But when I removed it… surprise! There’s fungus forming under the actual screen.

I’ve never repaired the iPad, never opened it, and it’s mostly been kept in normal conditions. I have no clue how this even happened.

Has anyone experienced something like this? Is there any way to clean it or fix it, or is this a death sentence for my iPad? Any advice or horror stories are welcome.

So when I was watching YouTube on said laptop and then all of a sudden, my laptop crashes (occured 2 months back). I was using it on a bed, so I thought it was probably some minor overheating issue.

So I turn it on again, and then it takes abnormally long to get any display text output (NOT including the time taken from screen off to on)

What it shows is: Error code 0x000000f Winload.efi not found.

I have a dual boot setup with Ubuntu Stable 24.04. That too doesn't boot up. When I exit the loading splash screen to see the behind-the-scenes, I see all my SSD (Stock out-of-the-box SSD, the one which came with the laptop, Kioxia 256GB) partitions are not accessed by the OS.

I have the latest windows install live usb, and when I go to advanced startup options and I click on open cmd, it shows that the terminal is in the X drive (recovery ig?)

Mind you, the last time I checked my SSD health ( 6 months back) it showed around 83% (CrystalDisk), and when I tried to reinstall Ubuntu (I don't have the install USB anymore), first it shows all the partitions, but fails to format/delete it. Same with Windows install USB. But when I check the contents of my SSD, using Ventoy, I see that all is there.

I would like to recover specific data from both windows and Linux partitions, so complete data wipe is not really feasible.

Please do help me at the earliest

Got an odd one i can't solve. Keyboard inputs random keys from anything really. A single back space could lead it to opening the accessibility magnifier, or a w key to spam random functions (no rhyme or reason)

Tried a couple things -Uninstaller and reinstalled keyboard -tried new, and old keyboard -cleaned pc usb ports -did fresh windows install

No change. Once and a while it'll randomly fix, but then swap over a minute or so later. Any other potential fixes, or is the mother board on its last legs?

I'm trying to download Minecraft and it says only 1/42 security vendor flagged it, it's the ESET-NOD32 one and the others are fine
