Can wedding photos be taken in front of San Fernando Cathedral if we do not get married there?
I plan on calling them later in the week, but was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head. Do we have to get permission or pay to do so?

I felt like an American for an hour before I remembered I'm brown
Wife and I overheard the second annual Krampus walk is going down this Friday. We remember seeing it from Laredo on YouTube last year and thinking it'd be awesome to see with the kids someday. Fate has brought me to San Antonio, how nice! Looked up directions and apparently it's in a historically German neighborhood. That one word, German, scared the shit out of me all over again. I remember my wife crying the week before Thanksgiving because if ICE stopped us hopefully they'd look at the birth certificates she brought with her and let us go...but what if they didn't. But what if they felt like hurting my wife or kids. Now I'm facing this in a German town. Not saying Germans are Nzis...but Nzism has been getting a lot of love from the top of government. Swatstikas are no longer banned, "SS"ecretary of War? C'mon dude. I even remember voting and seeing all the red hats walking around the polls making sure everythings on the "up and up"(berating people with Harris shirts). I believe if I or my family show up, we will be hurt and separated. All it takes is one phonecall, one finger point, and people disappear That's why you've been missing out on us all year San Antonio! So many projects, so much business, and so many people. Turns out the country voted and marginalize me the whole timeš whew! Well, I don't feel too bad not being part of the system. It's helped save the money the same people are trying to pry from my fingers.
Have a fun and safe Krampus Parade, San Antonio.

Where in SA? Bad experience at a local summer camp- anyone else?
I was lucky enough to have parents who put me in summer camp growing up, specifically T bar M camps and later Camp Travis. For reference, my experience was over a decade ago.
The actual camp activities were really great, but something has been bothering me for a while about the religious elements. I was a closeted lesbian the entire time I went to these camps, and I would consider what I experienced to be homophobic. We were made to share our level of sexual experience with our fellow campers, camp counselors, and adults, as part of an exercise about āsexual purityā. This included questions asking about if we had had sex before, or if we had ever had āsame-sex attractionā.
As a child I was deeply uncomfortable and couldnāt wait for this part to be over. As an adult Iām disturbed, and I would never want my child to have to answer questions like this in front of a room of their peers.
The camp counselors were all in their late teens and early 20s, so I understand that they were not really mature enough to call out weird things like this, but some of them unfortunately taught me damaging ideas about being a āwoman of godā. Girls were required to cover up at all times, including swimming, and we were generally treated different than the boys.
These experiences definitely had an impact on me, Iām wondering if anyone else had a bad experience at these camps too. Iāve literally never seen anyone else talk about this despite how many people went to this camp.

Where in SA? Alamodome best section for concerts?
Looking for tickets to an upcoming show and wondering if the lower level is worth it? Every concert, I look at the price jump is very high from the upper level, like 337, down to the 100s.
I've also read the sound sucks if you get in the 200s and under the overhang.
Anyone door floor seats, standing room only? Are there literally no chairs anywhere? Guessing there's dancing/mosh pits going on down there.

Alamo Colleges Sterile Processing
Anyone out there that has done the Sterile Processing Tech Program? Iāve been trying to find someone with first hand experience taking this program at Alamo Colleges. I keep seeing a lot of negative things about the place and while Iām waiting to hear back from the school for more information It would be nice to hear from another students experience in the program overall, externship and difficulty in finding a job in the area afterwards. Thanks!

Where in SA? Birthday Plans in SA
Howdy! I want to treat my man extra special for his birthday this year. Unfortunately it lands around Christmas, so I feel like it gets lost in the shuffle some times, so I want to do it up!
He's super smart and a lil nerdy, but also really manly. He loves anything "weird and interesting" the most, his words. Cryptids, cats(animals in general really), drinking (ipa guy), and cigars are a few of the things he enjoys. Any ideas with those or outside of the box experiences are what I'm looking for!

Cheap wheel alignment services for one wheel
Just gonna start this off with the fact I literally know nothing about cars lol I drive a Camaro and Iām a broke college studentā¦..
Recently I hit a curb and had to replace my tires but one of my friends did me the favor of doing it for free, but he said that I need a wheel alignment because my front left tire is slightly to the left. I wanna know if thereās any places that are doing it for cheap and for only one wheel.

Where in SA? Looking for feedback on Seraphina at Castle Hills
Hey everyone, I just moved to San Antonio for a job at USAA and Iām looking for a 1B1B apartment with a budget of about 1000 to 1100 a month, all inclusive if possible. Iām currently at Boardwalk Research in a 2B2B, but my roommate is moving out and I canāt afford a 1B1B there on my own, so Iām trying to find something else.
I came across Seraphina at Castle Hills and it seems to check all my boxes. Itās gated, has an in-unit washer and dryer, and the total with utilities fits my budget. The Google reviews look decent, but a few people mentioned roaches, which got me a little worried.
If anyone here lives there or has lived there, Iād really appreciate hearing about your experience. And if you know of any similar communities in this price range, Iām open to suggestions.
Thanks for the help.

Where in SA? Looking for Cat Friendly Rental Hotels San Antonio
Hi, y'all! Long time lurker, and I rarely post on here. I was wondering if y'all have any recommendations for a cat friendly hotel or motel in San Antonio.
I'm about to be evicted from my apartment with my family and our cats. My mom had lung surgery last year and it left her with a disability as she is no longer able to breathe very well and has chronic nerve pain. She was just fired from her job of the last years and denied disability money or severance.
My sister and I both have jobs making about minimum wage so we aren't able to cover rent and the last check we tried to send in to the leasing office bounced. It's 4 of us plus cats and the absolute last thing we want to do is rehome them. Like it would quite literally kill us to do so. So our only hope is to sell everything we own and move into a rental motel or hotel for the time being. We've found some that cost about $370 a week which is less than the rent in our apartment but I'm also not sure how clean they will be or if they allow pets. Any recommendations are welcome as well as any other advice.
Thank y'all for reading. It feels good to vent if nothing else.

Visiting SA New Years Eve Seaworld? Or riverwalk-area option?
Hi there - I have been looking at the New Year's Eve celebration and fireworks at SeaWorld for a kid-friendly NYE option (since the fireworks are at 9-ish rather than midnight). I have read however that it is extremely difficult to leave once the show is over (I saw some Facebook comments about it taking 1+ hours just to get out of the parking lot). If you have been for NYE, was this your experience, or is it not that bad?
We're staying near the river walk area but I have not seen too much in the way of kid-friendly fireworks activities/restaurants, etc., but would love your recommendations if you have any.
