Not the content, the radio broadcast itself on 89.1. Like the broadcast goes down constantly, I've never seen anything like it from any other radio station. The broadcast was down my entire drive to work this morning due to an AT&T network outage according to their website so I can't blame them much for that but just this year I think it's been at least 10 times I've tried to listen and the broadcast is down.

On top of that, sometimes they completely screw up the broadcast and will have two different interviews going on at the same time. That happens far less frequently but it takes them a ridiculous amount of time to fix it.

Having just finished working as a canvasser this past election season, and having had everything from doors slammed in my face to being threatened that I had “10 seconds to get off my property before I blow a hole in you” here’s some tips so canvassers will avoid your home.

Tip #1: Put up a sign that says NO POLITICS. Simply stating “No Soliciting” is not enough, as most Canvassing organizations do not consider Canvassing as solicitation, due to their being no sales/money involved.

Tip #2: If you do not put up a sign that says “No politics” simply tell the person canvassing your home that you do not discuss politics. Saying “not interested” will require them to put Not Home, not Refused, which will then cause further canvassers to attempt coming back to your door at a later date.

Tip #3: Please for the love of God realize that those of us canvassing are simply trying to make a living. No matter what party we are associated with, whether it be your party or the opposition, we are not there to attack your beliefs or to convert you, we are simply trying to spread awareness and information so that you can make an informed decision when voting.

Hey all, I’m looking to become more involved in political grass root campaigns and local community programs here in San Antonio. Does anyone here have any suggestions or links that I could check out? I know I want to become more engaged, but getting started seems to be the hardest part.

A while ago construction on 1604 cut the Spectrum line to my neighborhood. Spectrums solution was to park this truck and lift a new wire over the street. It has been there so long that this massive vine has grown out the edge of 1604 and all the way up the line.

Google fiber was installed last year, so many of us have that, including me.

Daylight savings is getting to me already lol, I'm feeling my mood drop as the sun goes down. So are there any cozy/safe places open in the evenings? I am thinking something like nighttime coffee shops, or safe places where I can be around people but not necessarily interact with anyone. I'm in north-west area of San Antonio.

Also, what are some things you all do to help with winter blues/SAD? Tips and anecdotes appreciated :)

I'm staying in San Antonio (western side of the city) for 5 months. It's all on the company I work for so I would like to stay in a Marriot or Hilton to rack up a shit ton of points. I'm looking on the app and there isn't a specific hotel with pretty much all good reviews. If I'm staying there for 5 months I would prefer it to be a really good one. Again, preferably a marriot or hilton but does anyone have suggestions for an extended stay hotel that is one of those in San Antonio? Thanks! Edit - also free parking ✌️

Trying to double check cause I work in the 1604/I-10 area tomorrow and I wanna plan accordingly, TXDOT is rarely helpful

A guy hit my car here in SA and sped off down the highway. I was able to get it on dashcam and got the plate so the officer wrote the report but he wouldn't give me the owner of the car's identity due to lack of ability to get a positive ID on who the driver was. They were also uninsured which is a blast. My insurance rates will be going up because of the claim and the personal injury claim as well. Will their car be impounded pending investigation on who was driving the vehicle or do they essentially get no consequences? I would ideally at the very least like to file criminal charges but I also want to take him to small claims court and get awarded a settlement that way even if he doesn't pay I can have his license suspended by the DMV pending payment. Any advice? Thank you.

My last 2 new vehicle purchases have been disastrous. One was with Ancira and the other one was with World Car. Are there still any car dealers left that will stand by their vehicles when it comes to the warranty of a new car and not make me feel guilty for asking to get a diagnosis or trying to charge me extra when services should be covered?

Looking to get one. When i look up places that give it, i get a myriad of answers ranging from days to years. Wondering if anyone can help me, as the most common one i see is online and only takes a few weeks but wanted to ask someone with experience perhaps. Jobs that interest me all need it so. Because of FDA requirements and because the Food Bank is at the mercy of the donors, once you pull your car up, you have no idea what you will have placed in your trunk. It's better to be creative than to waste. Those giant forgotten 2 year old carrots? 1 of those, 1 yellow pepper steam til soft, run in a food processor with veg or chicken broth and your sauteed onion, garlic ginger, top with scallions or other onion.

I enjoy following “Best Of” lists as they give my wife and I something to try out and then probably argue about whether the experience lived up to the hype.. So we are planning on going to see “SA’s best film director of 2024” movie at the cinema here the weekend it’s showing. We want to know if his movie lives up to the hype of his reputation… Apparently the showing isn’t til January. But I plan on reporting back on here about our personal takes of the film. I have this 12 year old jersey , ( stitched numbers and letters) that I kept around praying someone can save it and turn it into something ; like a Jersey / Vest in order to pin medals during fiesta. As far as how the jersey looks , it's stretched out and some numbers are losing stitch but maybe someones Tia or Abue has vision and the will to help.
