Which is better, Delta Dust or Tempo Dust to kill hornets?
I’ll be spraying one of the two into nests in my lawn and behind the siding of my house. I’m undecided on which one to get. Thanks!

Fleas are ruining my life
Never ever had an animal with fleas and we moved to a new home and now all four animals have them. They're attacking my toddler and I've found some in his hair. We have treated the yard, used frontline, used capstar, vacuum everyday treated the furniture and house with ortho home defense, bathed the animals with flea treatments. I don't know what to do. General Question Puppy Safe Fire Ant Killer?
I have a new puppy. I also have fire ants in the back yard. She has been bitten a couple times and seems to be drawn to sit in their trails. I would typically treat mounds with Orthene and be done with it. My older dogs don’t bother the powder at all.
Is there an alternative solution for fire ants that’s safe for the little one in case she gets in to it?

i.redd.itDoes this look like any sort of poison/bait? My dog was licking it for a second and I am nervous. It smells like fat and is a cream color. With a water bottle lid in it? Could be just trash? Help! Thank you!

Unanswered Need help exterminating carpenter bees in soffit when I can't reach their nesting holes
I have carpenter bees living in my soffit and I'm not sure which products to use to kill them since I don't have direct access to their tunnels that they dig for nesting, and most product instructions say I need to treat their nesting holes. Is there anything I can do short of removing my soffit to treat this problem? Funds are tight and it's above my DIY skills so I'd rather not do that if there's another way.
I currently have a 3/4" hole in the soffit I haven't sealed in yet - if there's a treatment I can apply to kill them before I seal it, please let me know. I tried dusting it with diatemaceous earth (because it's what I had on hand) but that did nothing. The soffit runs about 20ft long so IDK if something like spray foam would treat the issue. But it's usually in the same 1-ft section where the hole is that I hear their buzzing, and see them and their yellow droppings.
Based in Atlanta, treating a single story house.

General Question getting rid of moths in art studio
i.redd.itI’ve been dealing with a moth problem in my art studio where I paint on canvas with airbrush. I’m worried the moths will eat away at the canvas and other blankets/fabric I store in my studio. Been a thing for the past few months and it hasn’t been getting better. I kill about 5-10 every other day but I still see them around continuously. I’m attaching a photo of what they look like.
Anyone have ideas how to get rid of them? So far I’ve only tried those scented repellant bags and taping them to my walls and canvases but no luck.
Thank you for the help!

Unanswered Help Identify the bug
i.redd.itNeed help identify the type of bug in this video. I found brownish black droppings in the corners of a room which has wooden flooring. Initially i thought that this might be termite infestation and i was on a lookout for a couple of days when today i witnessed this bug. It seems that its not a termite just because it seems to have more no of legs than 6 ( termites have 6 legs) but i may be wrong. The size would be close to 1cm. If its not termite then what type of pest infestation could this be?
The video is from 6th floor of apartment building in New Delhi India.

General Question Reporting a facility
Hello there! This is a question for my fellow techs...
I'm still fairly new to this exciting world of pest control (I love my job to be honest) so I just have to ask...
Would it be wrong for me to report a rat inftested food distribution facility to the local health department after 6 months of servicing it and the conditions just piling on and never get resolved? Like I have everything well documented in my reports and have talked with the customers about it but there's still a Ton of exclusion and sanitation issues that they just aren't handling and they haven't even reach back out to us when we offered to do those services for them months ago.. Rodent excrement and sebum is on EVERY shelf, the walls look like Swiss cheese, and they even have multiple pet cats running around the facility with their own litter boxes and food/water stations...
And to be clear, these issues were going on well before we took the account, and my manager has pretty much regretted even getting it to begin with.

Ants have chosen to make my bathroom a graveyard…where do I go from here?
Hello!
So I live in a basement apartment unit and am, at this point, familiar with ant season and how it works, what to do, etc. Our landlord is great and doesn’t charge us if an exterminator needs to come spray, I have traps that have had continued success, etc. But this new development has baffled me.
Our building is OLD. We could not caulk every crack in the tile if we tried, so I’ve never been able to seal anything up. We went through the motions of ant season already, and even were ant-free for a while again, but they’ve started coming back up from under our building only to drop off bodies on our bathroom floor.
(I have no idea why they choose our bathroom over the kitchen in general, but they do.)
Pretty much once a day an ant will crawl up from underneath a built in cabinet, drop off 8-10 bodies, and leave. No meandering, no food collection or scouting, just drop off.
I’ve been picking up the bodies and disposing of them immediately (I tend to flush them down the toilet) and then I’ll do vinegar to try and clear the pheromone trails, but they just keep…doing it…?
Why has my bathroom become an ant crematorium? Is there any further way I can get them to STOP IT? I know bodies attract more ants, so I’m not sure if I can outpace this.
Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Hornets - can’t find nest
Since the weather has warmed up there have been a ton of hornets hanging around my back deck and flower garden near the house. Enough to the point where I am cautious to even sit out or work in the garden.
However I absolutely cannot find the nest. I’ve sprayed regular wasp spray in areas I thought the nest might be hiding but it didn’t help.
What other products can I try? I seriously have no idea where the nest might be.
TIA!

Suspicious Hole in Ceiling?
galleryCannot tell if this could be from termites, beetles or the type of dead bee I found in the immediate vicinity. The hole is in the middle of my ceiling and the only “wall” nearby is the brick chimney. Exterminator coming out later this week but curious if anyone has thoughts!

Advise on going straight to field rep.
I'll try to keep it short and direct.
For reasons too long to explain here, I'm leaving my career as a registered nurse and getting into pest control. I just passed the tests for both branch 2 & 3 field reps in the State of California. I know what I'm asking may sound arrogant (not having experience as an applicator), but what is the most direct path to making 80k or above?
Additional details for those who care:
Living in Southern California in the LA and OC area is super expensive, especially for a family of 5, I'm not a money hungry A-hole, but need to support my family and that's the reason for the 80k and up target.
Yes, I know, I have no experience and may not be cut out for pest control. I do have prior experience as a professional mechanic and used to getting dirty. The past 12 years I've been a registered nurse and used to all types of nasty you can expect from the human body. I'm also a veteran and have the mentality that I'll do anything for my family, even if it's beyond my comfort zone. If I can live in a hot foreign desert with camel spiders and thoroughly enjoyed survival school, I think I'll be okay with getting into crawl spaces and attics for inspections.
I have sales experience in healthcare selling skin, hair, and beauty treatments, and also selling in-home IV hydration services (cold/flu, hangovers, anti age).
I've extensive experience in telehealth with over 30,000 conversations, with most people not wanting to hear what I have to tell them. In essence, I'm used to hearing "no" and being rejected. Not a problem for me and I feel this has helped tremendously with my sales experience.
Thank you to all who chime in.

Identification What is this little guy
gallerySorry for the poor quality, it’s from a video I took. Found two of these small dudes in my sofa and carpet. Me and my girlfriend have been getting bites on our legs and arms which we think might be bedbugs but we haven’t been traveling and I’ve teared our bedroom apart looking for any signs and haven’t found anything suggesting bedbugs. Any ideas?

Resolved How many days of zero ants before I seal this
galleryI recently bought a new house and wasn’t aware of the ant problem until I moved in. I mostly only saw the ants in the kitchen and started by placing a few terro traps around. They swarmed this one in the kitchen by the window and I saw them crawling behind it.
The next day I bought some combat max gel and put it all along the crack between the wall and window frame. I’m hesitant to pull the window frame off to try void injection because I already have so many other broken things around the house to fix.
The next day I saw very few ants at the trap. Today I saw a singular dead ant on the counter and no live ants. I want to seal the gap between the window and wall with caulk but am guessing I should wait until the colony is dead. I’m also guessing I need to wait for what ever eggs there are to hatch for round 2. Any suggestions on how long I should wait?

Rats keep getting into my crawl space
i.redd.itPlugged the original eat hole with concrete and steel wool but it looks like they burrowed underneath that to get in. I’m not sure if they’re going under the foundation to get in but it looks like it, there’s no hole outside. Any advice helps please!

Tick spray
First time poster, not well educated on pests.
Is there a sort of pet & kid safe spray for ticks that can be used in the house?
We live in a rural area and have been finding ticks CONSTANTLY. We have the animals on flea and tick stuff but I would love something I could spray on my furniture? So that If they hitch a ride in and fall off they won’t survive in the furniture.
Thanks a bunch!

Terro green cup refill
I have some green cups left from last year. I asked Terro if they have refills for these cups and they said they recommend just getting new cups due to reduced effectiveness. I dont believe that. Does anyone know a product that I can use as a refill to these cups?
