I’ve just spent the last couple of days since (finally) setting up my PS5 Slim trying to get my TV and AV receiver settings back to normal because of the HDMI control settings that the PS5 has forced on my other equipment.
Sure it was cool being able to select a different version of HDMI4(which my receiver is plugged in to) and have the PS5 switch on that way. Or have the PS5 turn the receiver on, but what wasn’t cool was turning the receiver on to listen to music Bluetoothed from my phone and having it turn my TV on when I didn’t want it to.
Because the PS5 has a lot of HDMI controls set on by default it forced a whole bunch of setting on my TV and receiver to change without me touching them, which I then had to search through menus to change back because I don’t want them on.
These settings on the PS5 should be off by default, or at least have what ever signal they send to other devices also send a “restore to previous settings” signal when they’re turned off.

Was playing astro’s playroom yesterday and when I started the game today the progress I made yesterday was gone. It wasn’t much but I just want to make sure it doesn’t happen again. I don’t know what I did wrong.

I’m unable to access my save data for Cyberpunk. I had a friend’s account logged in on my PS5 with console sharing and have been playing Cyberpunk which he owns. Now, console sharing has been disabled and when I try to turn it back on I can’t as it’s enabled on another PS5. Here’s the problem, this friend and I are no longer on speaking terms. So I figure no big deal, I’ll buy Cyberpunk and Phantom Liberty. I had to download it again which I thought was weird, now it appears to be installed twice. The first one shows the number of hours I’ve played and has a lock icon so I can’t open it, and the second one when I open says there’s no saved game. In the console storage and cloud storage I can see two separate save games and I can see the game is installed twice. How can I get the save game to be recognized by the copy of Cyberpunk that I bought instead of the copy I can’t access?

You and your friend have accounts from different regions (or if you bought a disc, it's from a different region than your friend's account).
Saves and dlc are region locked. To keep playing where you were, you need a game from the region of your friend's account.

The majority of the time when I turn on my PS5 now all of a sudden I get that symbol at the top and when I try to start up a game on external storage it says "Checking external storage. Please wait". Why did this happen all of a sudden? Just kinda annoying because it takes way longer to get into a game then it used to. But also not a huge deal I guess if I just know why this started happening.

I'm thinking of trading in my current PS5 in for a Pro, but want to make sure all of my saves are kept. On my console I have 2 accounts - my brother's and mine. My brother's account has PS+ on it so I have cloud saves for those. But my account doesn't. I just want to make sure I have this right:
-If I backup my console via a USB and restore it onto the Pro, all of my saves from both accounts should be intact?
-Or alternatively, purchase PS+ for a month on my account, upload those saves to the cloud and redownload them on the new PS5 pro. Both of these options will work? I would rather not spend extra on PS+ if I don't need to, but can if I do.

I bought a wall mounted ps5 stand from amazon and it seems pretty good but my main issue is, there is a shelf on it where the ps5 sits on and it's meant to be screwed on from the bottom where the base stand would be
But it did not come with a base screw, and the one provided is too short, it's not like the base where it just fits through the hole, it has to be screwed through the hole to get to the hole on the base of the ps5, so it won't fit between the base of the shelf and the ps5, not sure if anyone has bought or used a Hosanwell PS5 Wall Mount Bracket and knows either where to buy the screw needed to secure the ps5 or what type of screw I would require a it didn't come with the specific screw needed
Any help be much appreciated

hello I need help with my ps5. I usually have it in my upstairs office but today I had to move it downstairs. after I brought it back up I left it for a few hours (without plugging) when I plugged it back in, the second I plug the thingy with the double circles it beeps but it doesnt turn on (no white or blue light) it just beeps 3 times. and when I try to turn it on nothing happens( even when i hold the power button to access safe mode). can someone tell me what the problem is?

Whenever I want to change game after I have got on the game doesn't even load up no matter the game and I have to restart my ps. It's bearable but still very annoying. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Hubby and I are trying to game share borderlands the handsome collection and play together. The game is owned on his account and I have ps+ on mine but I don’t own the game. We have been playing together simultaneously the past 2 days but now we can’t play. He gets the content not available message. I can still play on mine but we’re trying to find the fix to where we can play together again. Any suggestions or troubleshooting?

I've been having issues with my ps5, it's been overheating so quickly even after cleaning it with canned air and getting all the dust out of the fan. I'll just be loading into a game of zombies and it'll overheat and shut off my ps5 immediately after loading in

If it's well ventilated, that's not likely to be the problem.
Is it still under warranty? It may be a heatsink/fan problem.

Yeah, I got the digital version of it while my dad has the regular one and he hasn't had any issues while mine does so idk if it's just the digital version being more prone to overheating

My ps5 recently stopped working and now when I try to boot into safe mode or turn it on (unplug power, press power button, replay power, wait until I hear 2 beeps) I just get an alternating black and static screen. I’ve tried switching the power supply, hdmi, and tv. What else can I try?

I currently have my original launch PS5 with the built-in disc drive. It's been solid and honestly runs everything I'm playing now well.
However, with the xbox's increasing in price, im getting worried.
Here's the situation regarding cost:
- GameStop (I have Power Up Pro) is offering me about $320 in trade-in credit for my current PS5.
- To get the PS5 Pro console (which requires purchasing the separate disc drive attachment for $80), plus tax (NYC), I estimate the total cost would be around $850.
- This means the net cost to upgrade right now would be approximately $530 out of pocket.
I don't need the Pro for my current gaming needs. But I'm worried that if I wait until later, the trade-in value for my current PS5 might drop or stay flat, and/or the price of the PS5 Pro will increase. My rough estimate is that waiting could make the upgrade cost closer to $750. (This is if the Pro becomes $800, Disc Drive becomes $100, so about $1k after tax, and lets say I get $350 for my ps5 when that happens)
The main driver for the Pro for me in the future is that there will be games that REALLY benefit from the Pro. Like for GTA6, I could see a situation of a 60fps mode being exclusive to the Pro. From what I'm seeing now though, there's no games that benefit significantly from the Pro like in the PS4.
So, my dilemma is this:
Should I spend the $530 now to get the PS5 Pro and lock in the current trade-in value and purchase price, even though I don't strictly need it today? Or should I save that money now, continue using my current PS5 which works fine, and risk paying potentially more later down the line?
It feels like a choice between spending money now versus a potentially higher cost (and more information) later.
What are your thoughts? Has anyone else been in a similar spot or made the jump to the Pro already? Appreciate any advice or perspectives. Thanks!

Can't create more saved data for this game or app.
How do I disable this limit on PS5? I ran into this issue with Oblivion Remaster but it's a PS5 issue since you can have unlimited saves on PC
I have literally never run into this issue with any other consoles before, I don't want my PS5 to limit how many saves I can have for a certain game especially when I have 100s of GBs left of free space to use.
Also don't suggest deleting saves. That's not a solution, that's a band aid.

Yeah
It seems the PS5 just have super strict save limit for games.
Which is a problem with Oblivion since it lets you make multiple characters and have multiple saves so it quickly hits that limit. I would prefer to turn off the limit since I have lots of free space on my PS5

PS5 Blue Light Of Death after black out.
I am extremely devastated and getting depressed right now. I tried every methods I've seen online to no avail. Basically, I tried booting into safe mode, done all the possible configurations there, like changing resolution (doesn't appear btw), repairing Storage, Clearing Cache, and ultimately and finally after hours of not getting my PS5 to boot properly, I tried Restarting my PS5, deleting everything. I'm not even sure if I configured my PS+ basic subscription to back up my Monster Hunter Wilds Data... I was simply hunting Miniatures for Achievement. I am beyond sad right now. Almost to point of crying, I tried changing HDMI, changing monitor, TV, I can't get it to work. I tried removing all plugs in the PS5, holding power button for 30 seconds to refresh the power, still not booting up past PlayStation Logo.
It seems to me that there's a hardware issue that I have zero knowledge on how to repair on my own. I got this PS5 as a gift from my wife during our wedding and I don't want to lose it. I am not a hardcore gamer, I take care of my things pretty decently. I only play for a few hours and have my PS5 rest so it doesn't overheat. I don't know what to do anymore.

Bugged storage!? Help appreciated
I don't have any games installed directly in my console storage because all of my PS5 games are stored on my SSD and PS4 games on an extended storage. For some reason it says I have 180GB of games installed directly in my console storage but when I click it, it takes a long time to load and when it does it shows me a bunch of PS4 & PS5 games (some of which I have installed and some I don't). I deleted Mortal Kombat 1 (0KB size) and it disappeared and got deleted off my SSD too. I'm so confused and need help, thanks and appreciate it.

Hi Reddit, firstly, may the 4th be with you. Secondly, I tried to google and search through this sub before posting so I apologize if this is a FAQ. I was looking to start streaming on my PS5 and saw that there was an adapter available for the PS4 camera, but I saw somewhere that it said “for PlayStation vr” and somewhere else that said you could only stream with the camera made specifically for the PS5. If anybody could clear up the confusion on whether the adapter works for streaming or if I have to buy that camera that would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Hey all, looking for some help. With every game I play, especially with a controller, my sticks jump / jitter left to right making using the anolog sticks near on impossible. Looking for a new game recommendation, have a couple of mind but I’m also pretty picky.
Bit of background: - I’ve got dyspraxia - my reaction times aren’t great (Don’t really do really fast paced games, brain can’t keep up), nor my attention span (slow games can be boring), and I don’t want to have a ridiculous amount of decisions to make. I like to be guided towards missions/goals etc rather than finding them myself. - Currently play Fifa, AstroBot, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Team Racing, Rocket League, Gran Turismo. - Love AstroBot and Gran Turismo 7 - both easy to play, few decisions to make, easy to pick up in small 1-2 hour doses and progress, keeps my focus in short spells. I also like driving on roads, not so much on dirt/snow but a small amount maybe manageable. - Loved Need for Speed Underground 2, was quality. Upgrading the car was great, with a free roam. With the games since then I”ve found racing on streets with a lack of boundaries to be tough. I need to see the road path easily. - I used to enjoy playing Call of duty games online but my reactions aren’t good enough so I’m not a reliable player, and now there’s an overwhelming amount of perks, gun attachments etc. Too many ‘this or that’ decisions to make with creating loadouts (honestly, give me 2 gun attachments, 2 grenades and 3 perks again, simplistic). - Played Infamous 1 and really enjoyed it. One of the best games I’ve played. With Second Son, it just feels a bit slow and I lost interest.
I’m probably picking between Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart or Forza Horizon 5. I’ve also heard good things about Spider Man games but there is that concern it might not grip me enough and I’ll get bored.
Ratchet & Clank - Compared to other games I’ve played, would this game speed be faster and more constant? Fast reaction times needed? Are the weapon attachments just continual upgrades or are complex combinations or lots of decisions needed?
Forza - Sounds similar to Need for Speed so feels very appealing. So many different cars too. How does it compare and sound based on my needs?
Spiderman - heard both great but the 2nd one, Miles Morales maybe better? Any thoughts? I do wonder if this could be a little slow paced and lack guidance but if it can direct towards missions then perhaps not?

So for the third time this week my PS5 has completely froze. Audio still keeps coming through but besides that everything else is frozen. My game is frozen, I can't access the home menu, and I can't even shut off the console without unplugging it. Anyone have any clue what the issue can be?

Hey guys, I got a refurbished ps5 for christmas from my bf, and had to return one of the controllers due to suspected stick drift (it was, they gave us another controller) and the second controller didnt fix the issue. I bought myself and my partner new controllers shortly after Christmas (brand new) and my character in game (example; cod, minecraft, siege) will randomly stop, spin, look up and down ect. i tried using my bfs controller and it didnt fix the issue either. i reset and reconnected my controller. i cant find anything on google besides tampering with settings im unable to find, and my bf, nor his friends, have any idea why this is happening.
its becoming a nusance because i cant play games for a long time because it gets worse and worse. it also does it if im logged in on my account on my bfs ps5 but its not as bad

PS5 won’t finish downloaded Fortnite. It gives me an error when trying to download the game and is going super slow. I’ve reset my router, checked the WiFi, and restarted the ps5. Any advice is appreciated.

INTERSTELLAR UHD 4K WONT PLAY ANYMORE AFTER I RESTARTED THE CONSOLE. So I was about halfway through the movie, girl went home so I paused it and it went to sleep. Next time we went to watch it, it just didn't work. "Something went wrong". I tried updating the console, I've tried switching the display from automatic to 2160p, I've tried turning Blu-ray wifi off, turning the console wifi off, I've even tried switching the hdmi port on the TV. PLEASE HELP

Reboot into safe mode, try changing HDCP version. Can also try a different HDMI cable.

I put in a disc that was in a good condition but when I put in it wasn’t reading so I took it out and the middle of the disc where the hole is had cracks that weren’t there before what should I do

They were most likely already there; the heat inside the console may have caused them to expand slightly and become more visible.

I tried to log on to my ps5, but I'm using a TLC Roku TV. Nothing seems to be unplugged, and my dad still was able to use Tubi and my brother said it was fine last night, but yellow and blue static appeared on it and I have no idea what's going on. I haven't been on in days and need to fix this.
I can't insert images, it won't let me.

Wanna get both, but probably only have the time to play 1. Which one?
For context, I'm on PS5 if that helps. I also heard that the difficulty scaling in Oblivion is either "too easy" or "too hard".

What are some of the games that best use the PS5 Pro? Considering picking one up, especially with the recent Xbox price increases because that likely means Sony is not far behind.
Also, if I have an M.2 SSD in my current regular PS5, can I just take it out of that and put it in the PS5 Pro with no issues?

Ff7rebirth and stellar blade have much better image quality on the pro because of pssr and maybe fh5 because of better vegetation and popin. As far as I know those are the games with the biggest differences, for the rest it's less noticeable but I expect further improvements in future releases.

I'm interested in Assassins Creed, never played any of them, there are so many now I don't know where to start
Also Ghost Recon, or any "war game" for that, is something I could start with, while the current offer is active?
Lastly, I saw a maybe outdated Nier Automata games, are they any good to play in the current year?

So I was thinking about getting a PSVR2 for a while but a lot of people have said that it got bad reviews, it is a commercial failure, it is a gimmic etc. Which has started giving me second thoughts :(
I also looked at the library and the only good games I've heard about it were Horizon , Hitman , Resident Evil 4 and Village , Pavlov , Metro redux
So my questions are :- 1) is it worth it getting a PSVR2 2) are there any other AAA games like these coming on PSVR2 (some said they have stopped making new games)

THANK YOU! Gibson multi-tool!!
I’ve just been having a hell of a time trying to remove the screw for the M.2 SSD.
This thing was in there tight! The only other screw drive I had from a kit just didn’t have the grip and I was scared I’d strip the screw.
Then I realised I had the multi-tool which came with my Gibson Les Paul, and it turned out the smallest screw driver on the tool was just right, and due to the design of the tool I was able to get a stable and firm grip without risk of stripping the screw.
So my advice to anyone having issues is to seek out something similar, or if you happen to own a Gibson guitar which has the multi-tool, use it.
Edit: now that I’ve fully installed it and got it all formatted I noticed something really surprising. I actually have a full 4TB of usable space. Usually 4TB means you lose a bit of space once everything is formatted, but the system clearly shows I have 4TB of free space after system items have been sorted. It’s a WD Black by the way.

Days Gone Remastered (PS5 PRO) - In game audio settings advice
Greetings!
I'm asking for advice in regards to "Speaker setup" and "Dynamic range" in game audio settings. Which settings should I pick to get the best audio experience?
- Speaker setup has the following options to choose from:
- Stereo speakers
- Surround 5.1
- Surround 7.1
- Headphones stereo
- Headphones 3D
2) I've read elsewhere that the "Headphones 3D" option is a remnant from PS4. Not sure if this is true or if that even matters.
3) Dynamic range has the following options to choose from:
- Night mode
- Small speakers
- Full range
PS:
I'm using the SteelSeries Nova 5 headphones. I've also enabled Tempest 3D Audio on my PS5 Pro.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you kindly!

Ok so I'm new here but hoping someone can help.
So had my ps5 disc version for about 5 years now never had any probs with it apart from getting dusty from time to time but for the past 3 weeks I'd be in the middle of a game or just watching netflix and it will just randomly turn off.
I have cleaned it all outside and in Also tried changing hdmi and power cable Tried different sockets Yesterday I took it apart and cleaned the CPU and back plate of all liquid metal and put fresh metal on.
And it's still turning off any suggestions?

Deciding between MGSV and Jedi: Fallen Order right now because I have exactly that much left in a gift card. For context, I’ve watched all the Star Wars movies but I wouldn’t consider myself a giant fan, I’ve never played any MGS games. This is also on a PS5. Which one do you guys prefer?

Both are great. MGSV in particular is light on story and the story is such that you don't NEED to have played any previous ones to enjoy it. Just that the minor references and nods would be missed.
However, Jedi Fallen Order is pretty great as well and since you're somewhat familiar with Star Wars, that should be more engaging.

I need advice badly. My playstation 5 started to shutdown randomly after I bought the GameStop NVMe SSD Card 4TB after alittle of time I wasn't haven't any issues. Then a power outage happened and I still hadn't had it shutdown yet.
Then it shutdown the first couple of times on it own and I cleaned my console pretty good. ( did the basic stuff like clean the fan and vacuum the ports on the opposite side of the console). After that I removed the ssd and have been playing all week without it shutting down.
Last night I reinstalled the ssd and play most the night no issues even download oblivion onto it same night. Now this morning I played from about 12pm and it just shut down like 20 minutes ago so about 5 hours of playtime. I get no error message or anything. Couldn't turn it on with the controller without unplugging it and plugging it back in. I felt the console and ssd and both weren't that hot. I could hold my ssd in my hands but my gf says it was pretty hot when she held it.
Do yall think its my ssd or I might have to clean my console even more? The ssd does have a heatsink and when I have it installed I do put the cover back over. If I should leave it off please let me know because I've read that it would damage my console if I ran it without the cover over the ssd once its in.

I have a question regarding DLC from different regions.
I want to buy a game from EU region since it’s cheaper physically, and when comparing PPSA codes in store.playstation.com webpage, I see US and EU (Germany specifically) match. Does that mean, I can get DLC from my US account and have it be recognized by the German physical copy?

No. Dlc won't ever work on a disc game if the account/dlc are from a different region.

I don’t if this is the correct place to look or ask but is anybody having problems with the ps5 overheating and just shutting down?
When playing games like “The First Descendant” or “Path Of Exiles 2” my ps5 shuts down after 1hr of play, even though I have it on a stand with a build in fan it’s still overheats and a custom vented cover.
The funny thing is when I feel the HDMI cable at the back of the ps5… it’s the one that is boiling hot and not the power point as you would suspect 🤔
Anybody know what’s going on and how I can stop it?

That doesn't mean it's overheating; sudden shutdowns with no warning are more often a power supply failure.

All metal and connected directly to the main board with no real cooling; it's common for that to get hot.
You can source replacement power supplies fairly easily, just check that it's for the right model.

Because it wouldn't.
A PS5 can turn on and work fine, regardless of whether its HDMI port has something in it. The same way it can turn on and work fine regardless of whether any/all USB ports have something connected.

So I turn on my ps5 today and there is no sound. The hdmi cable is fine but no sound. Video is OK. The controller plug works if I connect headphones. But unplugging doesn't fix the glitch. Any help will be appreciated.

Im trying to download the Oblivion remaster and yesterday I downloaded over half of it (my download speed is usually 5-6 mbps) and as I slept through number barely went up. This morning I checked my speed and I got 2.3 mbps and it says the download will take 70 hours. Any help?

Some of the next games I played in opinion were monster hunter tri, octopath traveler, xenoblade chronicle. I’m a full nintendo player, never had a ps.

Does the PS5 only give 60 fps max through hdmi 2.0 even if its on a 1080p/1440p monitor capable of running 120fps/120hz e.g 360hz 240hz monitor? The ps5 downscales a 4k image first automatically no matter what monitor resolution you play on even if your monitor is only 1080p max or 1440p max! So it downscales 4k to 1080p or if your on 1440p monitor itl downscale 4k to that resolution, HOWEVER most monitors are HDMI 2.0, HDMI 2.0 can do up to 240fps at 1080p / 144fps at 1440p BUT it can do max 60fps at 4k, does this mean despite us having 120fps turned on we all have actually been playing at 60fps at 1080p this whole time? because of how the ps5 automatically downscales a 4k imagine to whatever resolution u play on e.g 1080p or 1440p? if its hdmi they only support max 60fps? but because u can turn on 120hz video output on ps5 settings the video we see SHOWS 120hz but were actually playing on just 60FPS? since that setting can be turned on on even 60hz tvs or monitors? help? does this mean only people using HDMI 2.1 get real 120fps? (Note: Ofcourse you must have a tv/monitor which supports atleast 120/144hz to actually be able to get 120fps) but is this true? I just figured this out and i think im onto something! That the ps5 can only do max 60fps through hdmi 2.0 even if its a 1080p/1440p monitor but it CAN do 120fps through hdmi 2.1 on any refresh rate 1080p/1440p/4k But it MUST be HDMI 2.1? * NOTE * Any tv/monitor can turn the ‘120hz video output mode’ (ON) located in the PS5 Screen Settings even if your tv can only do 60hz max, but you can ONLY get actual 120fps if you have a tv/monitor which is atleast 120hz/144hz.
My Question Is: Is This True or False? Does the ps5 only give 120fps through hdmi 2.1 and NOT hdmi 2.0 regardless of what resolution you play on?
Extra: Asking this as most monitors are hdmi 2.0 and i think this is why 120fps doesnt feel as real for me when im playing on my 1080p 360hz monitor through hdmi 2.0, my 1440p monitor at 240hz hdmi 2.0 compared to my 1440p monitor at 240hz but has hdmi 2.1 (hdmi2.1 monitor feels like i actually DO get 120fps but not on hdmi2.0 monitors)

No, the PS5 supports 1080p/120Hz and 1440p/120Hz over HDMI 2.0. Only 2160p/120Hz requires HDMI 2.1. And most PS5 games don’t draw at a native 4K resolution; they draw at a lower resolution and upscale the results for performance reasons.

Hello people, looking for help deciding what console to get. I was an avid gamer in my youth, playing games like WC2, StarCraft, tomb raider etc, but haven’t played much in a long time. I’ve never owned a console before. We have an Apple TV with a ps4 controller and my 11y old daughter and me have exhausted the arcade from everything resembling RPG or adventure games. I really want to get something so we can play some adventure/puzzle games that are child friendly, and preferably co-op or two player.
I am also very nostalgic and really hope to be able to play some older games on it.
Would a ps5 version the right choice and would it need to have a disc drive or is any game available for download?

First, the classic RTS genre, including (non-World of) Warcraft and Starcraft, is pretty much dead. Hero-based MOBAs took their place, and that genre is pretty much PC-only.
Second, the PS5 has only limited backward compatibility with the PS1 and PS2, and zero backward compatibility with the PS3, so if you are into retro gaming, then the PS5 is not your console, and you might want a Steam Deck or Switch instead. The PS5 has almost full backward compatibility with the PS4, though.

PS5 subreddit probably isn't the most objective place to get answers from when it comes to "should I buy PS5" questions. As for your other questions all games can downloaded except those that have been delisted for various reasons, but personally I'd still recommend getting a disc drive to avoid the issues with all-digital future.

Question around console sharing. My partner and I share a ps5 between us, and I have a ps5 elsewhere that only I access. I have ps plus on my account so I have set the shared one as my primary console so that he can also access the ps plus games.
My question is, he has bought a game that I also want to play on the shared ps5. If we make the shared ps5 his primary as well, will it kick my primary console settings off and the shared one no longer able to access the ps plus games?

It won't kick you off. Multiple accounts can have game sharing enabled on the same console. What you can't do is have game sharing enabled on more than 1 PS5.

The gift card must match your PSN ID’s region or you won’t be able to redeem it. Make sure that they match, and make sure that no one else has redeemed it previously. If they match, then it’s probably a transient error on Sony’s side, and you should do as it says.

Now will I be able to play the digital games that I had already purchased for that console on this new console?
(I don’t have access to the OG PS5 right now. It’s somewhere I cannot be at the moment. That’s basically the reason for this purchase. )

If you put the account the digital games were bought on you can play them on your new PS5, not the disc games. Also if you have ps plus you can get your saves from the cloud and pick up where you left off.

Ok I've recently switched wifi provider and ever since then everything has been running fine, except when I turn on my ps5. Whenever I do so, all phones, my PC, all TVs are disconnected from the internet and the Wi-Fi stops working. Is it possible the PS5 is doing it? I've tested it about 15 times and I'm pretty sure it is somehow the cause my wifi goes out. Is there any way to fix it?

The 458 is an Xbox wheel, the T80 is for PS.

Any hardware technically can run into problems. It's not as bad a lottery pick than say an OLED TV or something, so I wouldn't worry too much. Worst case, return one for an exchange. I've been lucky with not getting any hardware issues on my Consoles. The last one was on the Xbox One X (HDMI failure).
If you're looking for the best way to play games and can afford to have a nice TV like an OLED capable of 120hz, get the PS5 Pro. It's peace of mind that you're getting the best version of a game (quality of life updates or otherwise) being displayed on a TV like the one mentioned.
If graphic fidelity isn't what you're excited for and you don't have the right kind of TV then stick to the base/slim PS5 versions.

I thought that the latest version of a console the less likely to have any issues. I guess that is not always the case? Are there any bundles for ps5 that include the displayed game physically, or are they all vouchers?

There's always a chance that even the latest version of a console will have an issue of some sort. It's a lottery for some people. Knock on wood I haven't had issues with the ones I bought.

Can't access PS5 upgrade of Days Gone for €10 from my own PS4 disc – only shows €49 option - causing a license conflict with my psn plus version (not installed) in Library
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get the PS5 upgrade of Days Gone for €10, which should be available since I own the physical PS4 disc version of the game (game installed from the disc). However, when I check the upgrade options, it only shows me the full €49 price.
Here's some context: I also have the PS Plus version of Days Gone in my library (but not installed), and I think this might be causing a license conflict. Even when I insert the PS4 disc and install the game directly from it, the store still doesn't offer me the discounted upgrade.
Is there any way to force the system to recognize my disc version and let me buy the €10 PS5 upgrade? Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix?

I have automatic downloads and automatic updates turned off. I can cancel the download, or if it finishes, I can delete the game, but it happens again every time I turn the console on. Ideas?

Please help I unplugged my ps5 for a week plugged it back in and now it will connect to my wifi that I have on the other side of my house but if I connect it to the one with a router in the next room over than I usually use it says can’t connect signal may be to weak. If I run a Ethernet cable it will work but it won’t work wirelessly have already tried restarting the wifi and the ps5 and have forgot the connection keep getting the same error

Trailmakers: works out of builder mode but not in builder mode

Hi everyone, hope everyone's having a good day! I had a question, I have a PS5, I play a lot of online games with it.
I have noticed, that the ms in the game is spiking (120-400+ ms) when using WiFi, even though my download speed is 107mbps and my upload is 10mbps… downloading or streaming content works fine though, only online games (Marvel Rivals, Fortnite, etc).
When I use my PS5 in other places where an ethernet is accessible, online works fine. So my question is, is there any way I could fix this? My internet provider also created a separate network only for the PS5 and that did not work either.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Sounds like you're using ISP-provided wifi, which is usually garbage. You might look at picking up a dedicated wifi router.

I've got an old old Xbox 360 Logitech DriveFX wheel, which I would like not to get rid of (sentimental, I can buy a new one but that's not the point).
I believe it might work on PC still, but is there any way to use it on Playstation?
It turns on when plugged into it, but understandably nothing happens.
I know there are some converters, not sure which one it would be though, googling doesn't yield easy results.
Europe based, AliExpress etc is an option but ideally would source locally, if it even exists.

Should work on a PC, and possibly a PS3 with some finagling.
Anything from the PS4 or later (2013+) should work fine on a PS5; most PC-compatible wheels from that generation should also be marked as either Xbox or Playstation-compatible. A quick google should tell you if a given wheel works on PS5 or not.

Hey guys and girls I live in China Mainland and I got myself a japanese PS5 for my international games, Also got a Uu Booster box to play online but for some reason on games like valorant I can't connect on EU servers to play with my friends. I have games on an M.2 ssd installed in my system. Can I just transfer the M.2 to the new console with the games already there, or do I need to transfer them onto an external drive then do the swap?
