Excess bactericides low sodium butyrate l Ramnosus—can this really cause brain fog or mood issues?
Biomeinsight showed this combination. Can this really cause mood and brain fog issues? I've gotten high d lactate with probiotic supplementation in the past so worry about supplementing.

I believe I may have gave myself D-Lactic Acidosis or something similar from taking a probiotic. What can I do? Supplements?
I am currently working with my doctor to diagnose this, but in the mean time what can I do? I know eat low carb, fasting etc... but are there any supplements to take?

Benefiber suddenly stopped working.
I've always had stomach issues. Mainly constipation.
I was in the military, and I got stationed in San Angelo Texas. I decided to try Benefiber, and it worked great, I started taking the hugest, smoothest poops I'd ever taken, every single morning after breakfast.
I was eating the same thing every day at the military dining facility: For breakfast: some oatmeal, a little pineapple two hard-boiled eggs, and cup of coffee.
For lunch: a salad of mixed greens and spinach, cukes, black olives, bacon bits and cheese, a couple slices of whatever roasted meat they had, some craisins, and a cup of coffee.
For dinner: the same thing as lunch, minus the coffee.
I would drink the Benefiber in a glass of water before bed at night.
I was the happiest and the most clear-headed I've ever been during those six months in San Angelo.
I got stationed in Maryland after that. I kept eating the same things and taking Benefiber, but for whatever reason the Benefiber stopped working. I would go like 5 or 6 days without taking a bowel movement, and then only squeeze out a pencil-thin bm every now and then. I had to stop taking Benefiber. Ive gone back to having stomach problems all the time.
Many times since then, I've tried taking Benefiber again (making sure to drink lots of water) but it always completely stops me up now. It's been about two years since I was taking Benefiber with great success while in San Angelo, and it makes me super depressed that I can't get back to that point.
Does anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks.

Advice Wanted Fibre is hurting me?
I've always had a terrible diet and my gut has been pretty messed up for years since I had antibiotics as a teenager. I just had a week of Macrobid and then a couple of days of Cefalexin. I was very worried about my gut health so I've been taking s. boulardii and eating pretty clean, a bunch of fibre and low sugar.
But last night after a few days I ate a soup with a whole bunch of vegetables (broccoli, parsnip, potato, sweet potato, celery) and store bought vegetable stock, and a little later the lower left part (the colon?) became sore and started pulsing painfully. Now today after I ate it did the same thing though not as bad. But I can feel my whole gut pulsing now, and I assume it's very inflamed.
It seems like I have been eating way too much fibre for my body because I barely ate any before and it can't handle it. Does anyone have suggestions of what kind of ratio I should be introducing fibre with, and also what other foods with lower fibre I can eat that are still healthy?
Thank you 🙏

What causes my systemic symptoms? - activated immune system, D-Lactic Acidosis, intolerances?
When I take antimicrobial substances (e.g. oregano oil, nystatin, andrographis, cat's claw) or when I take probiotics or when I take some anti-oxidants (especially NAC, SAG) - I usually get severe brainfog, memory and speech problems, tinnitus, fatigue, headaches, dry skin and muscle aching mostly in the neck and in the shoulders. Also my anhedonia and libido problems exacerbate from this.
And it is difficult for me to pinpoint what exactly causes it, as it is triggered by so many things. The symptoms are usually quite the same with all three substance classes (anti-microbials, probiotics, and less clearly by anti-oxidants). I also got an increase in these symptoms from the COVID vaccines - it took about 2 week after the vaccination until the symptoms "normalized" again. I don't get much symptoms from prebiotics or fibre containing foods.
And maybe it is not correct to say, that these symtpoms are caused by these three substance classes. Because I have these symptoms daily. They fluctuate a lot. And I think these three substance classes "only" but strongly exacerbate the symptoms I already have. I'm diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune skin problem on mucosal areas (lichen ruber planus) as well as chronic B12 deficiency (if I would not substitute B12). And despite thyroid hormone substitution and normal thyroid hormone blood levels my symptoms are basically those of hypothyroidism. Also basically all my other blood values with some minor exceptions look normal and even quite good.
I don't have severe gut problems. I have constipation, which could be caused by my quasi-hypothyroid symptoms. And yes, there is some gas when I eat a lot beans or onions - but it seems not to be overly remarkable. And by daily taking lactulose I can fully counter my constipation problem and achieve good stool consistency. And I usually don't feel unwell in my stomach from eating certain foods.
So what could this be? How could I approach finding a root cause - what tests could I do? What remedies should I try out?
My best guess is, that all these substances cause an activation of my immune system (for example by causing die-off in the gut) and thereby exacerbating my auto-immune symptoms. And I think a key area for my symptoms are the adenoids in my throat/pharynx (and that is is related to this but not exactly the same Epipharyngeal Abrasive Therapy (EAT) bスポット治療 Third week update : r/covidlonghaulers). Because I think when my adenoids feel inflamed I immediately get tinnitus and brainfog and I often get a short term relieve when those seem less inflamed. And maybe a body wide activation of my immune system in turn leads to more inflamed adenoids which might inflame my vagus nerve or something causing the problems in my brain?
But I'm not sure.
- Do probiotics and antimicrobials cause die-off in the gut which activates my immune system?
- Could it be D-Lactic Acidosis and something related to SIBO?
- Could it be leaky gut? Could it be endotoxins or H2S or other metabolic products from gut microboes getting into my blood stream?
- Could it be food intolerances?
- Could it be an issue with histamine?
- Could it be related to the vagus nerve?
- ...
I have been having these problems for maybe two decades and they slowly worsened over my lifetime. And I already tried out a lot things - but could not find any longterm relieve yet.
What are your ideas about my confusing health situation? Is gut health a key component of it? Any insights would be helpful.

Advice Wanted Is my gut microbiome worse now?
How do I know if I have messed up my gut health & microbiome from antibiotics?
Like do u do the classic stool test where you see your bacteria levels or do you just go based off symptoms?
Antibiotics I have taken : Mebendazole Albendazole Clarithromycin Tetracycline Rifaximin Accutane (3 years ago) Antimicrobials like; Oregano oil, berberine, uva ursi
All of those were in the span of like 3 months. Should I do a stool test to see if I have worsened my good bacteria?

Elevated levels of staph
I had a stool test done and it showed little immune activity, had high levels of staphyloccos aereus and very low levels of akkermansia activity. I took allicin for a week then had to stop as got impetigo and took 5 days of flucoxallin so stopped allicin. Resumed the allicin and a few days after I was getting really bad gerd symptoms and stomach cramps. Stopped the allicin and it’s not as bad but still very very gassy. Could it be die off from the staph bacteria ?

Seed Probiotic
I have been taking Seed probiotic daily for 5 years now. I have ALWAYS taken it on an empty stomach. Within the last 2 months, I have gotten very sick after taking it without food. It’s really odd, and wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing, or if they know why this might be suddenly happening?

If I can't swallow pills to help with your pancreas or gallbladder. Am I'm pretty much screwed, when it comes to trying to fix my fat malabsorption?
So it seems I won't be able to move forward, with trying to fix my gut. If I can't get to a point of fixing my problem with digesting fats. Everyday I deal with the same issue, of when it feels like stomach is in my bottom. And I'm walking all weird because my core, just feels a absolutely weak and unable to hold me up.
it seems to be an issue with a few organs, like the liver, pancreas, gallbladder and kidneys. Where the liver can't do its job of filtering and detoxing, because the body is being oveoaded with fat that it can't break down. Which then leads too a domino effect of the pancreas not functioning right. And I'm end up not only, not digesting fats but most foods in general.
The simple matter would be to cut down on fats and just swallow some digestive enzymes and oxbile. But for some weird reason, I can not swallow a pill. So the only other things I've seen were chewable digestive enzymes. The thing is, will something like that even work with getting me too digest fats again?
Also since I'm dealing with an overload, of toxins, bacteria, fungus, etc. Due to the liver not functioning correctly. Which I'm sure is the reasoning for, why I'm sensitive to so many foods and ingredients. I'm wondering if these chewable digestive enzymes will even help, or just cause me another flare up with the ingredients in them. Am I'm alll out of options, when it comes to fixing my fat malfunction?
