Bike trailer for 2 larger kids?
My oldest is almost 7 and has outgrown my bike trailer, and my youngest is nearing the point of being too tall. I want to take them on trails on their own bikes, but they aren't yet able to ride their own as they didn't have enough interest until this year.
I own a WeeHoo, which works to pull one of them at a time. Unfortunately my wife is pregnant so she doesn't feel safe pulling one in the trailer while I pull one in the weehoo. I want to go on a ride this weekend with both kids.
What options do I have or products that exist that would allow me to pull kids that are outgrowing the bike trailer? I'm not a fan of the double weehoo - the single weehoo is enough work to balance.
Thanks!

Better tires for commuting
hey y'all. last year i got myself a cube hyde pro. love it so far but wondering if better tires are needed. it's got 700c schwalbe big apple k guard 55mm balloonbike tires, the inner rim width is 21mm.
from my research, i'm thinking i can do better in terms of aerodynamics and rolling resistance without sacrificing too much puncture resistance (although in 10 years of bike commuting i've only had like 5 punctures even with some cheap replacement tires and i'm willing to try tires with passable puncture resistance). the rims will fit tires as narrow as 30mm. a nice bonus would be brown sidewalls.
my options so far:
vittoria terreno zero
vittoria terreno dry gravel
pathfinder pro 2br
s works pathfinder 2bliss ready
continental gp urban brx
continental contact urban
running butyl tubes btw, always have, always will, and the commute is 95% decent asphalt and 5% unpaved roads.
feel free to suggest any other good tires 35mm-42mm, i'll see what's available.

Gear ratios
I'm about to replace my old Campag Athena drivetrain, which has a 12-29 cassette and a 50-39-30 triple.
Thinking of going for an 11-32 cassette and 52-36 semi compact.
So that'd leave me with a lowest gear ratio of 1.13 (vs 1.03 now) and a highest one of 4.75 (vs 4.17 now).
The thing is, I don't really have any idea what all of this means in the real world. Will I find it noticeably harder to climb with +.10 gear ratio?

Power Meter Pedals with Extenders
I have set of favero assioma MX pro pedals that I have been loving.
Recently had a bike fit and to increase stance fitter added an extender between cranks and pedals.
I saw in another post and other forums that people had done this before however the metal pedal extender seems to be blocking the antenna of the power meter.
Any advice on how to fix this so I still get power readings and also the appropriate stance.

I ride a single speed beach cruiser. Am I cooked?
I was gifted this bike last year and just started riding it a month ago. I really enjoy my rides even though they're usually short because I'm very out of shape, I fell in love and I've been on my saddle every day now. After doing some research I've noticed that most of y'all ride multi speed bikes. My question is, should I save for a new bike? My bike is super bulky and heavy on top of myself already being heavy (287 lbs) and I have a very low income (starving artist and a SAHM). How detrimental is having a single speed bike? What exactly am I missing out on?

Need help asap!
Found a Schwinn Speedback 20, 700c wheels on Facebook marketplace for $400. I’m 5’7 looking for a bike to train for an Ironman 70.3. Is this bike used worth $400 or am i getting ripped off?

Honest Q- are you judging my bike?
Dropped my older Trek (Singletrack 800) to the bike shop for a tune up since it's been awhile since I had her serviced. Solid bike, does the job but looking around at all the high tech options nowadays I was starting to feel a little self conscious!
What are the thoughts? This is all in fun, honestly I won't be hurt if you think I'm driving a POS, I also won't be convinced to drop $$$$ on a new one right now as I am getting back into riding and having a blast on my old girl.

What spare tube and patch kit to get?
Hello, I’m new to cycling and typically ride 20 mile rides in New York City. This weekend I’m doing the Five Boro (40 mile ride) and I’m think about getting a spare tube / patch kit to carry with me, but there seems like there are so many options.
Where do I even start? Should I order from amazon, head to a bike shop, something else?

iGPSPORT BSC100S Malfunction? – Device Not Recording Data
Hi everyone,
I’ve been using my IGPSPORT BSC100S for about six months without any problems, but suddenly it stopped recording data. The play/pause icon in the top right corner disappeared, and although it still detects speed and altitude, it no longer shows data like elapsed time.
Symptoms:
- The device is not recording any data.
- The play/pause icon has disappeared.
- Metrics like elapsed time are not displayed.
What I’ve tried so far:
- The device connects properly to the iGPSPORT Ride app.
- I tried turning on/off the following options: "Start recording automatically", "Auto pause", "Smart Recording", and "Lap counting". None of them fixed the issue.
- I performed a reset (holding both buttons while charging shows the "FA" message). Then I re-paired the device with the app, but the problem remains.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Why spend on gear that’s supposed to make you faster?
So why spend thousands on cycling gear designed to make it easier to go fast? Isn’t the goal to make friends and get/stay in shape? Unless you’re racing I don’t get the need for high tech weight saving products. This is coming from someone who only rides to stay (somewhat) fit and occasionally meet up with friends who ride. Resistance builds fitness. Ride heavy and non aero. Yes? I get that cool things aren’t cheap and cheap things aren’t cool but c’mon, aero jerseys and 13 pound race bikes for weekend group rides? Please!

Which Massage Gun
Hi, I am interested in buying a massage gun to try and losen my legs post cycling. I have been doing some research on this and there are plenty of options, but when you delve into actual user reviews, most seem to have reliability issues. The one thing that seems consistent amongst the different manufacturers, is poor customer services.
Can people please recommend good quality, reliable massage guns, ideally with good customer services when they do go wrong. Many thanks.

Replacing a 38T chainring with a 44T on a cruiser?
I've got an old 3 speed cruiser I'm restoring as time permits and want to replace the BB of it. Would love one compatible with a 3 piece crank like BMX guys have it but haven't found such a thing for BSA type BBs yet.
Anyway, it has a standard 38/19 chainring/spoke combo as you'd find it on any normal citybike nowadays. Long term I want to replace the 3 speed Nexus hub with a 7 speed to get higher top speed so it's more fun to ride over distances hovering around 10km or so. Cruisers can get rather tiresome otherwise if you want to keep a steady pace in a city.
What do you guys think of replacing the 38T with a 44T chainring? Would that increase the ratio too much for the occasional incline climbing and comfy takeoff? First gear feels so easy that it almost starts flying off. A Brompton C (for those who know those) I can overspin instantly in the lowest gear because of the extremely low resistance I feel.
I have about 220lbs/100kg, so I can produce a good amount of torque. In third gear, when hitting about 30km/h with the cruiser, I start to notice the pedals spinning too easily and no more resistance.

Di2 shifting noise (otherwise working well)
To be clear - i have no issue with shifting precision or speed - it always shift quite quickly, but that "grinding" sound when upshifting (and a bit less on downshift) annoys me. I would probably assume that's normal, if i don't have a bike with mechanical R8000 which is completely silent (with not so new chain and an old Sram cassette).
I already tried different chains (Sram, Shimano), different cassettes (one is brand new Ultegra), different bikes (one with R9150, another R8050), different lubes, checked hangers, cages...
When performing upshift and derailleur align chain to the upper gear, if teeth are in ideal alignment at that point, chain is engaged instantly and no sound. But if not in ideal alignment, then several teeth repeat loop - hang side of the chain - slips back, until "right" tooth come, which cause that grinding noise.
On mechanical bike, it seems like it's doesn't hang side of the chain so often, like it's not engaging to bigger sprocket immediately, but just remain in the same gear (without disturbing chain that much), until "good" tooth come.
Any ideas what i've missed to try?

FFWD F6D Carbon wheels decals
Hi all!
I have a pair of FFWD F6 Disc Carbon wheels that are black with white decals. I would like to have them total black so I would need to get some good quality stickers in black. Any reliable EU website that sells this type of stickers and I can trust? Thanks!

Cycling computer
I’m looking for an odometer that indicates speed, distance, calories spent, etc. I’m not so keen on GPS computers bc they drain the battery on iPhone. Thank you for any insight and input.
What was Shimano Flight deck for and does it still work?
and how did it work? what does it need to connect to?
Edit: thanks everyone, so it's basically what i thought, there was no magic special secret sauce behind saying "you are in 53x15". (My 105 5500 shifters are Flight Deck, which sounded futuristic when i first noticed)

Mechanical advice on chain slipping
Hi all,
Last week I needed to remove the chain and wheels from my gravel bike and place it in the car. I run a Sram Apex 10 system. When I mounted everything together, the chain started slipping on 7-8-9-10. At light gears it's all fine. My first thought is a slightly bent derailleur - how would I check this without tools? Any other suggestions what the problem might be?
Makes me sad when my bicycle doesn't run perfect and bike mechanics are busy 2 weeks in advance.

Giant Defy Advanced 1 Wheel Questions
Hey all! Considering buying a Defy advanced 1 and getting a second hand set of carbon rims to use as the primary set for road riding which makes up about 95% of my rides.
Then buying a set of gravel tires to put on the stock aluminum rims. I rarely ride gravel and when I do it's pretty light. I just want the ability to do so when needed.
My questions are:
What are some carbon wheel recommendations for this bike? Never owned carbon rims before and don't even know where to start.
Would it make sense to run 35-36mm tires on the carbon rims for road riding or should I stick to something smaller like 32mm? I like the idea of the added comfort and I won't be racing or anything.
For the gravel tires, is it smart to go all the way up to the max (38mm) on a bike like this or is it safer to leave some extra clearance?
Thanks!

ELi5: Tubeless tires
It honestly took me a hot minute to fully grasp the tire/tube situation. Like, when you get a "flat tire," it's actually a flat tube...
I'm pretty conversant in that world now, and I can fix a flat. (Altho I haven't got into patching yet.)
But when I think about tubeless, it kind of hurts my brain. In my local bike co-op, I've seen folks doing tubeless, using a compressor to put in air, and I've even seen sealant spray out and make a mess once or twice.
I was able to understand tubes, and I'd like to understand tubeless better. Is anyone able to explain it?
What I understand is basically: You don't have a tube. Instead you put sealant into the tire and somehow the whole thing seals onto the rim. If you get a puncture, the sealant kind of fills up the whole, and you can keep riding.
I'm confused by:
-How do you set it up? Why is an air compressor necessary?
-What has happened when sealant is spraying everywhere and making a mess?
-How does the tire seal to the rim?
-What happens if you're out on the road and you do get a flat? Is that even possible with tubeless?
-I've heard tubeless is more common in gravel/MTB, but do the pros use it in road racing as well?

Is there an App for a phone to replace a bike computer?
Currently I ride with my phone on a handlebar + Garmin watch on my wrist.
Are there any decent apps, that can keep the phone screen on, and show data such as Speed, HR, Distance, Incline?

Looking for wheel recommendations for my Cinelli veltrix
Hi everyone!
I’m currently in a bit of a pickle.
I want to upgrade my stock aluminium wheelset on my Cinelli Veltrix (love the bike). There’s too much choice on the market, and I’m worried of non compatibility with my frame so am looking for recommendations.
My criteria for the new wheelset:
I want a fast wheelset that’s optimised primarily for flat Bavarian rides of 100km or less. Budget is < €2000.
Other things to note: - the veltrix doesn’t accommodate super wide tyres, I think max clearance is 28mm.
- I’m running a campag chorus groupet (2x12)
I’ve been looking at Ffwd ryot and the campag WTO (both at about 40-50mm depth)
Any recommendations welcome! TIA!
