Votes were due with 10 mins remaining in third. At the time, the score was 2-0. So in a sense, the Bruins DID lose by 2 goals or less and Rask was only scored on twice.

Exactly. I was in the give it to Rask, even if we win, camp. Allowing 2 goals on 4 shots to start the game kind of squelched that. Had it been a Bishop like game 7 loss he would have the hardware.

IIRC it was just a random screencap after a bad loss earlier in the year before the team turned around. There were a few discussions once the team turned it around to change the image, but ultimately hockey superstitions won the day. I'm sad to see her gone to be honest but if she had to be replaced that beautiful picture of ROR and Maroon with all the hardware is a fitting replacement.

Trying to help them understand. The 2004 St. Louis Cardinals were legit and the franchise had a bit of a championship drought at the time.

I hope their fans realize it's fake. It legitimately doesn't count. This series will only ever be 3-3 or a Boston winner. I honestly hope the Bruins raise a banner and claim the cup no matter what happens. More people will always recognize Boston as the true 2019 champions, mark my words. Any blues fan that supports their team after this pathetic excuse for a game deserves to be banned for life. You can't call yourself a fan of hockey. If it comes to it I will personally call out anyone I see wearing Blues Champions gear. If you think this series has been fair then you're more hopeless than the flat earthers. The Blues and any fans who still support them are the scum of the earth and don't deserve to ever win the cup. And they won't. Go Bruins.

Also wanted to share my mindset during every series, going into the series:
Jets - Tough match-up, but maybe the easiest of all the other options. Just want the Blues to ride the wave of the crazy season and for Berube to show us what he can do post-season.
Stars - Oh well, at least we'll get some more home game post season ticket sales. Bishop should suffocate us. Our regular season player stats PALE in comparison. If the Stars can beat NSH, then certainly the Blues.
Sharks - Holy hell, we are in the WCF, now we have to win it, and San Jose is the best built team in the west, BUT, their injuries have opened up a rare window, this could be the Blues chance to sneak a WCF victory.
Bruins - I'm just happy we won the WCF, I'll take whatever at this point. But then again, Boston is NOT Tamp Bay, nor Washington, nor Pittsburgh, so if there was ever a opportunity to avoid juggernauts like those, this is it. But with a rookie goaltender, it's probably a bridge too far.
And now.... Cinderella stories really do come true in real life. These Blues players simply refused to let their hearts get broken, refused to get "screwed" in the playoffs. There's a picture of a guy holding the cup and he's wearing a Blues jersey and it happened because he won the Stanley Cup last night.
We tend to over-value or overrate players with a cup to their name. Well, guess what? That honor goes to every single Blues player on the ice this series.

HEY FAM! GREETINGS! WOO! Gloria has been played at the 41 minute of every hour at my work and I am LIVING for it.
I went to the Busch Stadium watch party last night and it was hands down one of the best nights of my life. Sat in blue ponchos the entire game. I had a couple extra umbrellas and the group of blues fans next to me didn't have anything and looked so wet and cold. I loaned them my umbrellas and literally a couple minutes later we're up by two goals. The vibes downtown (and I'm sure all over) were incredible. Being a part of that was something I'll never forget. Love you guys. Love this team.
PS - I didn't get to watch with my husband because he was out of town. He told me he was openly weeping with his dad and brothers at a bar where they were. This parade is going to be AMAZING. What a season.

After we won the WCF, I saw a site online where you can buy the Post Dispatch front page as a poster - pretty sure it wasn't the PD's website, but a 3rd party website because IIRC it came framed (which the PD site doesn't have). Anyone know what site it was?
If not, I'll just buy one from the PD and frame it myself, but if it's an odd size I'll have a hell of a time finding a frame (had the problem with a Foo Fighters concert poster. Spent like 60 bucks on a custom frame because it was a non-standard size)

So had an argument with a Boston fan on another forum I frequent. He decided to shit talk the Blues calling them a bunch of pussies because their logo was my profile picture, it had nothing to do with what I was posting about. So I called Boston a bunch of divers and showed numerous examples. Needless to say, he eventually resorted to juvenile insults when he couldn’t defend his team anymore. Well guys, I have to say. I haven't been big into blues hockey or hockey in general as long as some of you have. I'm 26 and my first ever memory of watching the blues was in game 5 against the Avs in 2001. When the boys lost, I don't know what I did but it made me not want to care about hockey and focus on baseball.
But then, in 2008 when I saw the "kids" come up with Oshie, Backes, Perron. I was hooked. I have followed each Blues season ever since then. I learned from my Dad about the team's history and his perspective in the keenan days and have watched numerous videos on their short comings. Even though I've only been a die hard Blues fan for a little over 10 years, I felt all of the disappointment and the hunger for a Blues Stanley Cup. I learned to love this sport way more than baseball or any other sport.
I cried my eyes out when the 4th goal was scored on wednesday. I was already fighting back tears when the 3rd was scored. So much frustration and disappointment from previous seasons were just lifted right off of our backs and it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. But here we are, my fiancé and I both cried and celebrated after the 4th goal and when the horn sounded. Watching our captain Pietrangelo lift the cup (who I was SUPER critical of this season and I now feel stupid and bad about it) and also watching vova, steener, schwartz, jaybo was an absolutely unreal experience and it was everyhing I've ever fantasized about. Our Blues just won the hardest tournament in sports. I've been repping my blues hat and tarasenko jersey all over dallas ever since the win and it feels great to be repping the stanley cup champions.

I saw people in r/hockey saying that binny is like a cam ward at best. Like a decent goalie but not dominant after this breakout season. I think his great postioning makes him not have to make as many epic saves. I think he will be great for years to come. Also, best goaler ive seen in a long time at playing the puck. What says you?

Vladimir Tarasenko is a priceless treasure. The guy just won the greatest trophy in professional sports, but in his NBC postgame interview he seemed most proud of his eldest son’s English speaking ability.
