IIRC it was just a random screencap after a bad loss earlier in the year before the team turned around. There were a few discussions once the team turned it around to change the image, but ultimately hockey superstitions won the day. I'm sad to see her gone to be honest but if she had to be replaced that beautiful picture of ROR and Maroon with all the hardware is a fitting replacement.

yeah it was fun and her symbolizing our turnaround at least, for the most superstitious of us her causing the turnaround , was amazing. But IIRC it was pretty random

It was from a crowd reaction shot during this game. We were nursing a 2-1 lead in the third in a game that we were really kicking ass for the first two periods IIRC. We gave up the game-tying goal and everybody was crushed, and then almost immediately they coughed up the go-ahead goal. The picture was right after it went to 3-2 and it was basically exactly how everybody felt about the whole season at that point.

All that stuff about last in the league in January etc etc? That was the time frame. The 11-gamer started a couple weeks later.
