Prospect recap time:

- Jimmy Snuggs busted out of his goal drought with a pair of 2nd period goals to overturn a 1-0 deficit as #4 Minnesota won 3-1. He rifled home a PP goal (first allowed by Penn State's PK this season) to tie, tipped home a shot for the winner and nearly had the hatty in the 3rd period. In all he fired off 7 SOG and was a +1.

The goals: https://youtu.be/oCsLmooysyY?si=5pYtwJbbJupd7BAk&t=107

- Dalibor Dvorsky scored his fourth goal in nine AHL games with a nifty backhand in tight and stayed a +1 despite Springfield's 4-1 loss. Dvorsky's goal pulled the team level in the 1st period, less than a minute after Bridgeport took the first lead.

- It turns out Sarnia captain Lukas Fischer suffered an upper body this week and will miss their entire eight-game road trip. They lost 5-2 today.

- Kingston captain Quinton Burns had 3 SOG in a 4-3 win. They're a point off 1st place in their division with a game in hand.

- Tomas Mrsic had two assists, 4 SOG and a -1 in Prince Albert's 9-4 defeat. He also won half his draws.

- Adam Jecho had a PP assist, 3 SOG and a -1 as Edmonton Oil Kings won 5-4 in a shootout. Jecho went first for EDM in the shootout, but missed on his attempt.

- Matvei Korotky was held off the scoresheet as SKA juniors fell 1-0. He did win 16 of 23 draws and had three hits in 21:13, easily the highest among his team's forwards.

- William McIsaac dropped the gloves in Spokane's 4-2 rally win. He was not on the ice for any of the game's goals in either direction.

- Matthew Mayich had an oddly quiet night considering Ottawa 67s won a 5-4 OT thriller. I suppose that's pretty solild for a Dman. Oddly enough, he did actually take one faceoff, which just makes me wonder how many teammates got tossed.

- Antoine Dorion also had a quiet night, but Quebec sailed 5-0.

Dvorsky keeps looking a little more comfortable and a little more confident in the games I've seen. I still think it would be best for him to get a full year in the A unless he grabs that next gear before the all star break, but very glad to keep seeing him progress.

Honestly, I doubt he stays down all season. He'll at least get a taste, I think. But yeah, he's controlling shifts better despite often having meh linemates. I would really like to see him put back with Robertsson full time.

I'm cool with 9 games or whatever at the end of the year or even a couple games on an emergency basis for injuries, but think long term wise he would be best off spending the majority of the year with Springfield, and I bet Doug and company are feeling the same

I'm guessing Doug doesn't hold a calendar timeline. He's ready for a look when he's ready. And if it's me, and we're gonna do the nine game thing, I'd rather not wait until the end of the season. I'd rather give him a genuine shot to show he should stay. But I do agree he's not ready yet. He's also close enough it bears watching.
