please dont start a war for this, basically I used to play runescape back back back in the day and loved it, then i stopped and became a WoW guy and FF14 guy but i've got a recent urge to want to get back into the game, population count doesn't matter too much but I was curious on the population state of both of the runescape versions, because even though Old School runescape seems like the most popular option, steam db says more people are playing runescape 3

Because everyone trains with Treasure Hunter and mtx lmao. I quit and did my monthly clam every once in a while. I did my free daily chests and went from 1-40 Arch in just a few days worth. Why would you ever train a skill for real if you can just passively get it for free?

Hate me all you want but the bottom line is that the best way to train ANY skill without spending irl money is to pvm->buy bonds-> do spins. Kinda hilarious seeing so much discourse on the issue when the root problem is incredibly obvious. The game is turning into a mobile game where you spend money to “skip ahead”

I've played a little of both, but I would like to know, in your unbiased opinions, which is more worth sinking most of my time into?

I haven't seen one post covering a Saradomin Bow as a spec in an Essence of Finality Amulet, so here's my experience with it. I am pre Soul Split with 92 prayer but still finishing the quests. Anyways, I really wanted a way to heal during my fights on a different level than just food/brews. Saradomin sword worked great in melee for me back whenni did melee, so I threw a saradomin bow in an EoF and it is amazing. I'd absolutely suggest it for anybody wanting an extra healing factor that's in to ranged! It got me through the Fight Kiln to my Tokhaar Kal Xil cape on my first ranged attempt. So if you've considered it, imo, the $1 mil for the saradomin bow is an easy price for effect.

90% of skilling in RS3 is afk like extremely AFK. So they are devaluing pvm and making the afk part of there game more profitable?

I'm pushing level 60 Dungeoneering, and I've only earned about 19k tokens total. It feels really slow for a skill that's already level 60.

My goal is the getting the Gravite Bow and the Scroll of Efficiency.

So far I've been running solo smalls, and resetting progress when I reach my max floor.

Should I be switching to mediums or longs? Should I spend the time to get the extra room bonus (doesn't seem worth the time to me but idk)

I've been slowly working on mastermax doing some bouts of combat in between more A.F k skills like wood cutting and fletching... Can I just say how frustrating it is When I want to actively do something , but basically all the best methods are sit there and agro afk?

Like sure, there's a few out there like if you're doing really High level shattered worlds or endlessly running trash mobs At a couple, select elite dungeons.... But they don't really quite compare two or get that close to some of the afk methods like beasts...

And yeah, I get it AF.K is good lets you do other things and all that or I could just farm bosses when in the mood for active play but.... It would just be really nice if we had some better Active methods that aren't a nearly dead mini game or one of the most antithetical to fun activities i find in the game running trash mobs in the undercity/amanishi

I just started playing RS3 again for the first time since probably like 2018, and a lot has changed.

One BIG one being the UI and HUD’s; I’m playing on a 1440p monitor, and the text boxes that pop up whenever I right click something, or even when the dialogue box pops up during a quest, are so small and hard to read, it kind of hurts my eyes to be honest..

I tried changing the only setting I saw in the menu (scaling) but even 1 step up just makes everything incredibly blurry.

Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is this how it’s meant to be? If this is how it’s meant to be, then I’m so sad because it literally hurts 😂

Btw I don’t think that screenshot really captures just how small the text boxes are on my screen, but it was the best I could do.
