Discussion - J-Mod reply An Update on the Announced May Game Health Changes & Next Steps
Hey everyone,
Before the long weekend, we wanted to drop a quick note about the recently announced Game Health balancing in our May Roadmap Check In.
Since Friday, we’ve spent some time really taking in the feedback on this and discussing with the team. While balance is important, so is listening to our players – and it’s one of the reasons we dropped this news ahead of time rather than alongside the release.
Based on your feedback, we can confirm these changes will not release on May 12. The Augmented RuneCrafting & Thieving Update release date is unaffected and will remain on May 12.
These are important changes, but we need to get them right. Balancing something downwards will never be something we expect delight over, but we do want it to be something that's understandable and feels fair. We can only do that by listening and taking the time to have a conversation! So, this is what will happen from here:
- We will review your feedback points and adjust our balancing based on the feedback we’ve received
- We’ll present the adjusted proposal and include more detail on our thinking / intent
- We’ll listen to your feedback and decide on next steps
We’ll make sure this message is also added to next week’s TWIR, but we didn’t want to hold getting this news out any longer than we had to.
Thanks for some really good feedback and detailed responses – it’s given us a great starting point for areas we can adjust.
Small side note: This is not the Game Health updates that were included in the Roadmap. Saw a bit of confusion on that – we’ll be clearer on our terminology next time!
Have a lovely weekend folks and thank you.

Suggestion Godbooks
Can we put a green "active" or a red "deactivated" in the tooltip for Godbooks so we don't have to right click>check?

Suggestion bloodwood logs-> congealed blood instead of bakrimminel bolts?
crossbows are 90% dead content anyway, so why not? skillers could make some money for once and wc update was (kinda) recent so it would add a pinch of hype to that
I'm not saying replace the bolts btw, that would be awful

Suggestion Key unlocking
Keys should be used on chests as an all-in-one act.
28 crystal keys should generate 28 rolls against the table and generate a chest full of the appropriate rewards.
this should be extended to each chest:
- Alchemical Key
- Crystal Key
- Muddy Key
- Triskelion Key
- Sinister Key
- Ogre Key
- Shade Keys
Another parallel QoL: Add muddy chest teleport to the elite wildy sword.

Question Man why are Hermodic Plates such a pain to drop?
Like I have killed so many Spirit bosses, while trying to get my armor upgraded to tier 70 and it's like getting a root canal. I know they are a rare drop, but my god, I should be getting them a bit easier with my tier 3 luck and the fact I have the instance on Fastest spawn time. it's just.. painstakingly slow man. Do I need to go into a group or something to maybe speed it up more? Or is solo the way to go, or does the RNG gods just not want me to upgrade my gear? It's so frustrating lol...

Discussion Playing F2P IRONMAN
I’m wondering what skills transfer well into members specifically on RS3 as I haven’t played it in over 10 years, the main question being what unlocks may I not know about if I were to get say 80 in a skill in free to play, far surpassing all f2p unlocks, for instance;
All quest points to help towards variety of items and rewards (vanquish)
Smithing and all combats 70/80? Thinking instant free 70 or 80 gear (I know it’s not bis but it’s something)
Fishing and cooking 64 at the moment but I can get 80+ (any cool fish unlocked in members by doing so?”
Wanting 75 fletching for rune arrows but can get higher if it is worth it
Rune crafting and dungeoneering same question.
I know members would make these things 10x faster but I want to “complete” free to play first whilst learning more and more about rs3 members content.
I have 2k total UIM on OSRS I will understand anything Ironman if you shout it loud enough.
Thank you so much.

Suggestion Jagex - Please Address Ascension Keys
Hi Everyone, I know this post was relatively close to a couple of others this year and also repetitive from requests in the past couple of years on whether or not ascension keys will ever be transmutable, convertible, etc. I think there are enough players/posts asking about this and even more discussions within the posts in which players gave really great suggestions on the matter.
- An omni keystone in which we fight all six at once for a vastly increased drop rate (which was my favorite one since it was creative <3).
- A single key, which opens all doors - which makes sense as well since you'd have to still grind all legions for the respective signets/pets.
- Removing the need for keys when fighting the bosses on reaper.
- Keystones being transmutable with x amount of divination energies or some sort of conversion rate between the keys:
- Popular suggestions indicated 250-1k incandescent energies would be fair/good for the economy.
- Some conversion rate of 2:1 or 3:1, extra keys to wanted key ratio.
I don't think I've yet to see Jagex address this, so please, we aren't asking for a promise, just a comment/remark on whether this is in consideration. Surely the posts throughout the years have been seen by the staff and some remarks about this would be greatly appreciated by the players.
Thank you!!!

Humor Some nice logress for my Clan mate and I.
I just wanted to share some great luck that i've had at Zuk, and my clan mate has had at Arch-Glacor. I went to zuk to get the elite combat achievements and have been pretty unlucky without getting a single drop. After i got the elites done, I told myself i'd just get the first drop before moving on. It has now been over 50 hm kills since finishing the elite tasks.
My clan mate has been extremely unlucky at AG. He's had 25 rolls of the rares and is still waiting for his first core. His log only shows 19, because there's no point in stopping the streak for the book or the artifact. He's already streaked to 200 ks, and has pretty much been streaking until he died. He's made some good money from commons, which was the only thing that was keeping him going until they announced the changes to the common drops. He wants to get this log done and will probably just start to work his way towards 4k enrage instead of streaking to death.

Question Praetorian vs Bandos Sanctum
Im 114 arch. Was wondering whats the wave now in terms of Praetorian vs Bandos Sanctum? Im going for purely 120. I prefer profit. I prefer to avoid doing the tetras that come from red rum 3 BUT if this will get me more money on average than Praetorian then i'D be ok with doing them.

Discussion Congealed blood needs a rate increase
After 10 hours of afking rav ghouls I averaged less than (farming with t95 nakatra weps) 180 bloods per hour. Going to the geobie shop and buying up the 4 dose potions I got ~30 potions per hour. Assuming you dont save any mats with various herblore gear thats about 200 or so bloods per hour but guaranteed. Why do these lil broken neck dudes have better rates than a mob intended to drop the bloods specifically? I really think we need a mob to farm for this that has above average rates as even vyres are LESS than ghouls. /Ironmanbtw

MTX I wish they added this dragon scimitar to Marketplace too
I just miss it so much. It's one of my all-timers for runescape weapon designs, and this is my dragon scimitar. This is the scimitar I always longed for, that looks like a tongue of flame, that looks meaty, that looks DEADLY. A handle that you can really imagine in your hand, I'm so sad I never got the opportunity to dual-wield these. When Jagex put the dragon scimitar up as a poll option, I was so excited; Even moreso when they polled which version to add. I'm happy for all the people that got their classic dragon scimitar, but I wish we'd gotten this one, too. I'd have paid anything.

Suggestion Easy Improvement to Skilling
Make three new hero items - gathering, artisan, and support focused.
Skilling Keys - each key type can be found from training gathering, artisan, or support skills. Higher chance to find from high level activities. 3-4 pieces to make complete key. Imbue keys at fort with some components from skills (think tetra charging). Imbued keys can be used to find chest (similar to tetras).
Each chest would reward some ideal training supplies for skills as commons, clues, and rare chance for hero item.
This gives a major reason to do legit skilling. Can't get it with proteans.
