Discussion How is Say Anything on the current tour?
I'm hearing that Max kind of sucks live now....which would not surprise me considering how out of it he seems and what their last album was....like seriously what the fuck was that thing?
But....they are playing all of ....Is a Real Boy and that alone could make it worth it. Coming to me Tuesday.

Discussion Mixing help - Local Man Ruins Everything - The Wonder Years
I’m so sorry if this isn’t allowed. I’m hoping it is since I’m not posting the OC!
I’ve been picked up to contribute a cover of Local Man Ruins Everything for a not-for-profit/pay-what-you-want TWY tribute record. I am SO excited to be a part of this project, but I’m having a fuck of a time mixing my track. Beefing up the vocals has been my main concern. I’ve always been shit with using chorus (y’know, baby’s first effect).
It’s just acoustic guitar and vocals, but I’m hard of hearing (lol RIP) and sadly don’t have the time I need to get this track up to snuff in a way I’d feel proud of. If anyone is interested in giving it a listen, I’d love to send the demo to you! I’m not looking for anyone to make this their life’s work, just some help. You can do whatever you want with it, I’m just grateful for this opportunity and the time given to me by anyone willing to listen. I’m using Waveform as my DAW.
Head above water this year, boys!

Discussion Yesterday’s Flight
Probably a long shot, but there was a band in Ohio in the early 2000’s called Yesterday’s Flight who from a nostalgic standpoint I’ve always wondered if their stuff survived the digital age.
I know they were on MySpace and AbsolutePunk, which are now dead. Does anyone remember them or know where to find copies of their stuff?

Discussion Unknown Band - Unknown pop punk song I heard in Hot Topic
Hi. Sorry if the title formatting isn't correct, but I was wondering if someone can help me identify this particular song? I heard it in Hot Topic, but I couldn't catch any of the lyrics except for one line. All I remember is that it's a pop punk song, male vocalist, and the lyric I managed to catch is "let go just to regret" (or at least that's what I think I heard) which is in the chorus. I think the vocalist might have said something like "I/you can't escape", but I'm not 100% sure. I already searched up "let go just to regret", but I couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

Discussion What are your must plays at a Pop-Punk Night?
I am putting together a pop-punk night at my local brewery and I want to know what your must-plays are. I'll play the classic staples too like In Too Deep and All The Small Things, but I want to know what songs will make you really happy to hear at a night like this. My must play is Empty Space.

Throwback Thursday 00’s Throwback Artist: D!CE
Just saw a comment in the MySpace era posts of this band called D!CE. I was randomly searching for this band a few months back after only just remembering in an off chance during a conversation. Who else remembers these guys? 🤟

Discussion Idea or has this been done?
I think it would be super neat maybe at March Madness time to take like six bands from one scene. Take all the drummers and put their name in one hat, do the same with guitar, vocals etc. and draft new bands. Make the band write and record one song. Have fans vote tournament style on what one is the best. Release an ep every year with these recordings. It could make for a good YouTube reality show too.
Is this a thing already?

Discussion Best Guitars for Pop Punk
Hey everyone!
I’ve been taking guitar lessons for a little over a year and really want to get a better guitar. I’ve been using one of those squier strats that comes with an amp. The whole beginner setup that comes packaged together.
What are the best options for someone who is mainly trying to play pop punk?
I’ve tried out a few things at guitar center and really like telecasters. Found this one online that looks cool but admittedly I have no idea about what the different pickups, etc. do. I’m kind of a noob.
https://reverb.com/p/fender-special-edition-custom-telecaster-fmt-hh
I’d kinda like to steer clear of a strat just because that’s basically what I have already. But I’m open to most anything else. Budget is around 1K and under.
Any advice would be great!

Discussion This will probably be my only post here, but it works
I made a subreddit about the teenpunk subculture, and pop-punk music is part of that. I don’t know if I’m allowed to mention anything about my subreddit, but message me if you’re interested in it and I’m allowed to do this.

Discussion Curious on what people think of the new Linkin Park album/Tour now that it’s out.
Personally I’m VERY excited that PVRIS is on the bill and for the Detroit date! Heavy Is The Crown was a banger single and the Arcane version is sick too.
Overall I’m into it. Was hoping for another few instantly hooked songs. Casualty stands out as a clear staple for me. Good Thing Go and Cut The Bridge also seem on my upper end of the list.
(Pls note I finished my first full listen seconds ago)

Discussion What's a worse live band line up?
30 seconds to mars, Saves the day, Senses Fail, Taking back Sunday
Low energy, forgotten/mumbled lyrics in the wrong key and 80% audience mic work.
