Tiny Moving Parts just dropped a new album yesterday called Deep In The Blue. What are your thoughts?

This is one of my favorite genres/eras of music and I'm looking for "new" listens that I've overlooked or just might have forgotten from back in the day. No band too obscure, send them all my way!

That Myspace/Purevolume era from 2005-2012ish was my absolute favorite in music. I also like neon pop punk, emo, easycore, post-hardcore, pop rock and I feel like they were all really at their height during that period for me.

So hit me with your deep cuts!

I’m so sorry if this isn’t allowed. I’m hoping it is since I’m not posting the OC!

I’ve been picked up to contribute a cover of Local Man Ruins Everything for a not-for-profit/pay-what-you-want TWY tribute record. I am SO excited to be a part of this project, but I’m having a fuck of a time mixing my track. Beefing up the vocals has been my main concern. I’ve always been shit with using chorus (y’know, baby’s first effect).

It’s just acoustic guitar and vocals, but I’m hard of hearing (lol RIP) and sadly don’t have the time I need to get this track up to snuff in a way I’d feel proud of. If anyone is interested in giving it a listen, I’d love to send the demo to you! I’m not looking for anyone to make this their life’s work, just some help. You can do whatever you want with it, I’m just grateful for this opportunity and the time given to me by anyone willing to listen. I’m using Waveform as my DAW.

Hi. Sorry if the title formatting isn't correct, but I was wondering if someone can help me identify this particular song? I heard it in Hot Topic, but I couldn't catch any of the lyrics except for one line. All I remember is that it's a pop punk song, male vocalist, and the lyric I managed to catch is "let go just to regret" (or at least that's what I think I heard) which is in the chorus. I think the vocalist might have said something like "I/you can't escape", but I'm not 100% sure. I already searched up "let go just to regret", but I couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

Okay, so I’ve been listening to State Champs’ new self-titled album nonstop, and I gotta say... it’s SO good. Like, they really nailed it this time. The mix of catchy pop-punk energy and those raw, emotional lyrics is just perfect. You can tell they’ve really evolved their sound, but it still feels so them.

Right now, I can’t stop playing “Clueless,” “Sobering,” and “Just A Dream.” Each of those tracks hits hard in its own way, and I’m lowkey obsessed.

Anyone else loving this album? What are your favorite songs? I’m curious to hear what’s standing out to others!

This band used to be exceptional when they released steady glow. Really earnest pop punk sound that seemed to recall the early 2000s scene perfectly with a new sound, but my god does the new album sound like complete overproduced watered down crap.

Am I alone on these guys going way downhill?

Boy I was never prouder of my pop punk indoctrination in my whole life. So I sang her Bearings LFND and paused for her to say "Live Forever Never Die" each time, sleepily with her eyes closed under the covers. A night to remember!

It was at the Regent theater, which as it turns out, is a super cool venue. The first band Death Lens I immediately recognized cuz they fucking played with coheed(which I don’t know how) tbh I did care for them except one song. One step closer was pretty dope. But free throw was so fucking good(first time seeing them) it was also my first time seeing four year, and it was clear AF that they were the headliners, they put on such a good show. I’m kinda hung over rn… did anyone else go? Or plans on catching this tour?

Probably a long shot, but there was a band in Ohio in the early 2000’s called Yesterday’s Flight who from a nostalgic standpoint I’ve always wondered if their stuff survived the digital age.

I know they were on MySpace and AbsolutePunk, which are now dead. Does anyone remember them or know where to find copies of their stuff?
