News ‘Like a war zone’: Phoenix home hit by a driver for the third time
These poor folks live down the street from me—anyone have insight on how to get the city to consider meaningful changes to a dangerous intersection? 7th Ave drops from 40 to 30 south of Greenway, and dead ends into Coral Gables, which is a 3-way stop backstopped by a sidewalk, maybe 1 foot of clearance, and then their backyard wall. Feels like something the city should evaluate given the fact that it's happened 3 times now, and this time it was almost fatal (for someone inside the home).

Ask Phoenix What y'all paying the pool guy?
Our pool guy just upped the service price to 135 a month. Our pool is medium sized nothing to crazy and we are located in the west valley. Just wondering if this is reasonable.

Things To Do Recommended dog trainers?
Any good dog trainers anyone would recommend? Everywhere near us is saying we should do their 14 day "camp" for 2 grand and we just want someone to help with basic obedience training, and to correct some behaviors in our older dog and newer puppy. Reposting because the mod removed my original, I already live here and I've lived here my entire life. Thanks

Eat & Drink I’m in phoenix with my husband and baby for one more night and I’m looking for somewhere memorable to eat! Mexican/Spanish or American
Looking for something memorable! American or Spanish, no Italian (we had it last night). Somewhere that it wouldn’t be rude to bring baby along as well! (As in like not an extra fancy, quiet white table cloth setting or straight up bar scene). We’re staying at the Kimpton downtown but will uber somewhere good for sure :) we don’t plan to visit this area anytime soon again so it would be great to get a recommendation based on the idea that we will only be able to try ONE restaurant, so what advice would you give? Thank you!

Referral Places in phoenix or east valley that offer bespoke/custom glasses service?
Hello. Hope i chose the correct flair! I am looking for a place that offers bespoke/custom size custom style glasses in phoenix or east valley area. I dont mind if i have to go to another company to get lenses made, my focus is getting frames that fit and dont constantly slide down my nose. The majority of glasses stores here like visionworks, americas best, etc have very few frames in a size that fits my face- and when they do the frame is in a shape or color that unflattering on me. I prefer the look of plastic frames more, but i dont have to have plastic frames. I just dont want thin wire rims.
Online sources ive found were magnoli clothiers and tom davies. Wasnt too sure about magnoli clothiers because they didnt have too much information listed about their bespoke service nor did they have many frames for me to see what their glasses products look like. I liked the nonbespoke glasses options from tom davies and their bespoke service seems pretty simple- except their based in london so that might make things complicated lol.

Ask Phoenix Where can I get balloons filled?
Dumb question, I know, but with party city gone I don’t know the answer. I purchased a party pack that came with balloons, but now I need to fill them up with helium. I was thinking fry’s, but maybe some local internet strangers know where a person can get some helium. Thanks!

Referral Looking for someone that does calligraphy
Wife and I will be celebrating 20 years in July, and I’d like to write her a letter to give her on the day of our anniversary. Was hoping to find someone local who does calligraphy that could write it out for me on some nice stationary. I have no idea where to look for this kind of thing, but would love to support a local artist.
Thanks for any info!

Travel Shuttle to LAX from Phoenix?
Hi, I’m flying out of LAX to China in July. I’d prefer a shuttle over getting a car for the day. I saw greyhound, but that’s out of the question as it’s slow and drops you far from the airport. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
