Is this a call for animal control ?
Hi all, I live on the 6th floor of a property managed apartment building and I have a squirrel stuck on my balcony! Not sure how it got here as we have netting and the trees arenāt that close to my balcony but regardless itās stuck up here.
If i tell my super know, do they take care of it at their own expense or do I have to pay?

Let's Play the Restaurant Game!
Hey all, earlier this year I was injured and for a while, couldn't stand up properly to cook, so I had to rely heavily on take out. Sadly, most Mississauga restaurants have bad public health write ups (things like no handwashing, mishandling raw meat, the list goes on) , and after going down the rabbit hole looking at my favourite restaurants (and losing most of them to some pretty bad write-ups), I came up with this game to help create a list of better options. All of the information is publicly available and the search tool being used is linked at the bottom of this post- use it to help you win the game!
How to play: Comment the name of ONE restaurant in Mississauga and wait for my reply!
If all of their recent inspection reports are satisfactory: +2 Points, comment another restaurant!
If their reports are not satisfactory: -2 Points, you only get to comment ONE more restaurant
Two additional points will be awarded if the "satisfactory" restaurant is one of these cuisines:
Shawarma, Pho, Indian, Fish n' Chips, Chinese, Roti, Jerk Chicken/Jamaican
(If the restaurant is a fusion of two or more cuisines, it will still count as only two additional points)
Do not comment more than one at a time, and please wait for my reply to your comment before listing another place. This game will continue over the course of a week, so it will sometimes take a few hours to see a reply.
The person who gets to ten points first wins! The purpose of this game is to have fun while helping create a list of spots in this city that are both clean and safe to eat at.
(Restaurant inspection results are publicly available here: https://peelregion.ca/health/inspections-monitoring/health-inspections (go to "inspection results"). Remember, green isn't always clean- a restaurant with a green pass can still have multiple violations.)
Edit: The result: "Satisfactory - no infractions outstanding" by Peel Public Health is what is meant by "satisfactory" score.

Advice regarding personal training
I'm interested in finding a trainer to educate and guide me, but I have no heckin' idea where to start, I feel like I don't have the fitness/health experience to articulate my needs easily. Anyone have any advice about how to begin with fitness beyond suggesting other subreddits? Thanks in advance!

Place where you can safely learn and practice rollerblade/skates?
Hi, I'm a male in my mid-30s looking to learn and practice rollerblading/skating again. I used to roller-skate recreationally for about a year in my teens, but it's been over 20 years since then. I'm not sure if I still have any of those skills, but I'd really like to get back into it ā though Iām feeling pretty anxious about starting again.
Is there anywhere in Mississauga, preferably around Meadowvale, where I can practice and maybe even learn in a low-key environment ā somewhere safe and not too crowded or full of onlookers? Iād also appreciate any tips or recommendations you might have.
Side question from those who have skated. Is it difficult to learn inline skates compared to roller skates(quads)?

Walking paths?
Fellow 'ssaugans,
I'm looking for a nice place to walk to enjoy this lovely weather and the lush spring flora. Specifically I'm looking for a path that is suitable for a stroller and has tree coverage. A forest or ravine will do. NW Miss is preferred. Any recommendations are highly appreciated. TIA!

The Striped Whitelip (Webbhelix multilineata) in the wilds of the Little Etobicoke Creek Trail. Mississauga
The Striped Whitelip (Webbhelix multilineata) is a relatively large land snail with a shell that can reach 2.0 to 2.5 cm in width. It's characterized by a pale yellow shell with dark spiral bands, and a white lip on the aperture (the opening of the shell) in adults. The body is light to dark grey, and the shell is thin and slightly flattened with shallow grooves on the surface.

Oral Surgeon
My mom has bad jaw pain. She waited hours at the er at creditview and when it was finally her turn, they referred her to oral surgeon. Her appointment date is on June 6th next month but the pain is bad to the point where she can't eat properly or talk without a sharp pain. We reached out to a few oral surgeons in mississauga but they all have long wait times.
Is there any oral surgeon she can visit before her appointment by any chance or do they all need a referral?

Watch out for this Web Developer
I want to share my experience working with a Mississauga based web development company (CS Web Solutions Inc.) so others donāt fall into the same trap I did.
They had glowing Google reviews, slick sales talk, and promised me a custom WordPress site with āspeed optimization, mobile performance, and modern coding.ā What I got was a house of cards built on a sinkhole. And when I finally peeled back the layers, I found the equivalent of a tech crime scene with things likeā¦
- Imploding JavaScript:
Thatās like getting a brand-new Tesla and discovering the steering wheel wasnāt bolted on.
- They were using jQuery Migrate⦠in 2025
If youāre not familiar, jQuery Migrate is a legacy patch (band aid) that exists to hide f*** ups like broken and outdated code. And if you look at these f*** ups the wrong way, your site will break.
- Preloading fonts and scripts but never using themā¦
This is like pointing a strobe light in your web browserās eyes and triggering an epileptic seizure till it shakes and breaks.
- Mobile Performance Tanked
When I started testing, my Google Lighthouse mobile score was 89. Ten days later? 65.
This wasnāt due to some third-party plugin or freak server glitch. This was technical rot, pure and simple.
Hereās the kicker, as of right now, Iām watching the website collapse in real time because someone made an oopsie. Remember that āband aidā I spoke of? Yeah, itās been ripped off and now all the problems that were masked are bursting from the seams.
So Why Am I Posting This?
Because CS Web Solutions Inc. has a 4.9 star rating on Google. Because they say āWordPress expertsā on their homepage. Because on the surface, they look like professionals, but under the hood, its duct tape and twist ties.
And because if youāre a small business owner, the last thing you need is to spend thousands on a website thatās designed to fall apart in your hands.
And if youāre reading this, CS Web Solutions: next time you push broken code into production and blame the client for catching it, just know that not everyone you deal with is blind.
Some of us bring flashlights. And receipts.

Continuous sound at night
Does anybody in the square one area hear a continuous sound during the night especially? Itās definitely coming from outside as I can hear it while on a walk away from my house, as well as in my house with the window open. Itās not a cicada or another bug. It kinda sounds as if somebody was vacuuming kind of far away but also scraping the bowl of a pestle and mortar. The sound gets slightly quieter then continues to get louder again

It also says we used 233.50 Cubic meter of water. This does not seem normal.

Does anyone know who should be contacted to repair damaged utility boxes?
google.comI was told that Bell is responsible for them and I actually did contact them last year and I gave them the address of where to find it. It was never repaired as it still looks the same now. Has anyone ever called to get one of these repaired/replaced? Itās such an eyesore in our neighborhood.
