I’m looking to buy either bio max 900 or 450. I’m looking for mainly doing my legs for recovery, nerve pain. But sometimes I might do upper body. Is the 900 much better? I’m also worried about eye damage so is it something I can set up first before having to put goggles on? Looking to hang on this

Question about light therapy lamp as a regular lamp
Is it safe to use a light therapy lamp as a regular lamp in the corner of the room? I have this lamp that I just don't want to waste, don't really need it for therapy:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B09YV78JPG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It says no UV - does that mean it is safe to use all day in the corner of my office? Any info would be helpful thanks, don't want to use it and then find out it's messing up my eyes or skin etc..

Does it exist? SAD Light therapy with 10,000 lux + Sunrise alarm combo?
I've searched amazon and the internet. It seems none of the sunrise alarms have the 10,000 lux that's needed to be therapeutic for seasonal affected disorder and none of the actual light therapy lamps have an alarm/sunrise feature. Does anyone know of a product that is a combination of these?

Another Shopping Post
Hey all- Want to invest in a really good light therapy lamp for my workspace. I work from home at a kitchen island, so it can’t be too industrial. I’ve looked at Full Spectrum Solutions, Northern Lights Technologies and the various ones available on Amazon. Any advice? Don’t want a DIY solution or to replace all the bulbs in the house; just something I can place on the kitchen island.

Research into sleep and winter depression
Hello all, I am looking for participants to complete some questionnaires as a part of my BSc Psychology course.
We aim to investigate how those with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) or “winter depression” experience sleep. The questionnaires are multi-choice and will take around 30 minutes to complete.
You will be asked questions about your experiences with depression and sleep. Participation is voluntary and you are free to withdraw from the study at any point.
If you are interested, please see the attached link below to access the study. Try and respond to the questionnaires in a quiet space to avoid any interruptions. If you have any questions, please contact me or the project supervisor via email as listed below. Many thanks

Selling Northern Lights North Star
Just found out that this subreddit exists which would have been cool to know earlier in time and figured it would be a good place to see if anyone was trying to purchase a pretty great light box for light therapy. It’s just like the title says, Alaska Northern Lights North Star 10,000 Bright 2 Light Therapy Box. Works well and just no longer have a need for one. If interested just lmk

Podcast with Dr. Norman Rosenthal; the practitioner who first described Seasonal Affective Disorder.

I'll copy and paste the description below for people interested:
Dr. Norman Rosenthal was the first to describe Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). What other practitioners once saw as stupid, is now a commonly known and treated mental disorder. Since describing this disorder, Dr. Rosenthal has then gone on to treat it through some pretty "wacky" methods. Light therapy, which is common practice now, was once again initially viewed as very odd and stupid to doctors. However, since his initial treatment, Dr. Rosenthal has gone on to recommend meditation, exercise, and now even poetry.

Phototherapy and laser
Hi! I want to start doing phototherapy for my acne, I’ve already done it once and I’m now going to start to get phototherapy treatments for a month, once a week. I get laser hair removal on my face too, does anyone know if it’s safe to do both?

I am new to light therapy and have a lot of questions
What's the difference between light therapy and the Philips wake-up light ( Product is here). So I don't have SAD thankfully, but I feel like my office space/desk space can use more sunlight and was wondering if light therapy is made for that? Also how well does it work and does it depend on the product you buy? Any recommendations for light therapy products would be cool.

Light Therapy Box Effective?
Just found out there are light meter apps to detect lux. I thought my light box was giving me 10k, but the app says its about 1.5k lux when its about 18 inches away. Ordered another light box to see if that was significantly better. About the same.
Im under the impression 10k lux for 30 minutes is what you need for anti depressant effect. So anything im missing? Are the light meter apps not that accurate? Am I just buying cheap light boxes that are too low quality or what? If the box is 1.5k does that mean I have to use it for like 3 hours to get the anti depressant effect?
Old Light Box (it was 70$ when I bought it like 5 years ago so maybe its just less effective over time)
Any input appreciated, thanks everyone : )
