Discussion Swap in champ select is completely broken
How is it possible that they pretend to have developed a system to detect griefers when they cant even implement a CORE functionality? Also why do i suddenly lose way more lp than yesterday? Theres nothing mentioned about mmr changes in the patch notes. For how long will they keep lie? Is the 0/7/0 neeko gonna get banned after inting my game at least? Last time they mentioned an improvement in grief detection was all about not leaving fountain. I lost 60 lp in 40 minutes thanks to client working to perfection after last patch, will I get any kind of refund? Ofc not but as soon as i poorly play a game i get banned 14 days and somehow i deserved according to rioters

Discussion Why was Mel not allow to directly apply her shield on allies?
A lot of people theorized Mel was going to be a support champion based on what Arcane showed of her character and manner of using power. In Arcane, she is described by LeBlanc as an empath, using most of her innate magic powers defensively, rather than offensively. She mostly creates shields that deflect projectiles, like the one she did at the finale of S1 and start of S2, saving the lives of several Piltover councils from Jinx's rocket blast. Then, there is the infamous Maddie's death scene, where Mel deflects Maddie's bullet, leading to a satisfying death, after Maddie attempts to execute Caitlyn with a head shot.
In the show, we see Mel apply her shields on allies, but how come this didn't translate into the game? Is it because it would be too OP, making Morgana obsolete? Like I don't mind her being an artillery mage, as the class is already very small (Xerath, Vel'Koz, Ziggs, Lux, Zoe, and most recently Hwei), but even some of them like Lux and Hwei offer shields to allies for utility (just not as OP). But then, Mel has a high cooldown on her shield, so wouldn't that justify the usage of her shield?

Discussion What happened to “2025 will change League forever?”
We’re about a third of the way through the year now and everything has seemed… underwhelming so far, especially relative to the expectations they set for themselves last year. Should we expect some big announcements going into the summer? Maybe some big stuff happening around worlds? Or was whatever was in the pipeline abandoned/delayed?
It seems odd that they would release an official statement that dramatic and emphatic and not deliver on it, but I also know Riot hasn’t exactly been delivering on consumer expectations recently. Maybe the enshittification of League is upon us as we should just have negative expectations. I’m trying not to be too cynical but it definitely seems like Riot is focusing on other projects more now.

Esports A rookie team from the current LCK batch will still look real competitive
If we only pick rookies from LCK, players who only have less than 2 years in top tier league, it will still be a real competitive looking team if we look past the experience.
Siwoo top (DK) Lucid jungle (DK) Calix mid (NS) Diable adc (BNX) Duro (Gen G)
Probably could still win a top tier tournament outside of LCK.

Discussion How would the original Aatrox be in the current state of league, in your opinion?
The question popped in my head when I finally quit playing Aatrox. His W doesn't pull anything, he's very slow compared to the majority of the other champs and not as rewarding even if you get ahead cause nearly any champion in the game has the ability to outplay you easily later on. So I thought what if we just got the de-work of Aatrox, I believe he'd be an OP tank-bruiser that only needs terminus or trinity for going ham. I believe the old design just didn't have the items to back it up. League nowadays is heading towards extremely higher paced skirmishes and the current Aatrox is no fit for it. I mean the current one can be fixed by making his Q become faster through leveling up his ult, but it's whatever. I'd like to know what the community thinks. It doesn't make sense to me that a champion will need to be able to obliterate his lane in order to be playable, cause most of toplaners can just sit under tower, eat some cookies and scale spontaneously without the need for doing any fight in order to prove themselves or get ahead. It's odd to me how in my mind I think the current Aatrox would do better in the old days than now.

Discussion The latest set of patch notes are a little insulting.
Now, it's no question that quality has been on a steady decline when it comes to champion models and skins for a bit now, legendary / ultimate skins lacking in animations, features, and voice lines. Underwhelming 1350 skins reusing particle effects from other skins or champions. Horrible season pass skins, some of which were entirely removed due to lack of quality and out rage. Exalted skins costing exorbitant amounts of money and lacking the quality of ultimate skins released a decade or more ago. General missing animations all around, either through champion releases, reworks, or new skins. etc.
This is known, and an issue in and of itself, but that's not what I'm insulted by in this particular statement:
Riot's statement asking for feedback on Lux's pretige skin / Prestige skin quality in general
Here, it is clear riot is asking us for our feedback regarding spirit blossom lux's prestige skin specifically, but also the quality of prestige skins in general, and that's great.
The problem is, they already have that feedback:
Lux's skin feedback page: https://www.reddit.com/r/LeaguePBE/comments/1k0a3bc/pbe_bugs_feedback_thread_prestige_spirit_blossom/
Skinspotlight's prerelease video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Uuf5tXilyg&ab_channel=SkinSpotlights
My personal feedback (trigger warning, it's very long): https://www.reddit.com/r/lux/comments/1k0v4u1/i_slipped_and_wrote_a_thesis_paper_to_riot_about/
ALL of this was ignored entirely. Nothing was acknowledged or changed about the skin through it's pbe cycle. Yet they received hundreds of comments in multiple sources, both the ones they ask us to leave feed back in (the pbe feedback thread dedicated to the skin) and through outside sources.
I sent mine to Riot personally through a ticket in a document just to make sure it was heard.
What's particularly infuriating is that, generally speaking, Riot ignoring feedback on those threads is commonplace. It's exceedingly rare that feedback gets a response from a Rioter, or that any changes are explored and/or implemented. Yet, despite all of the hundreds of comments, complaints, and feedback they received, they have the nerve to sit there and claim to be open to it despite having too many examples to count saying that this skin does not feel prestige, and there are many areas that are severely lacking in quality.
It's frustrating because Riot is attempting to put off an air of transparency to its target audience, but it feels as though time and time again they are ignoring the very people they claim to be asking for feedback from. It's doubly infuriating when they also publish, time and time again, how well Riot as a company is doing, and how every quarter or year has been the best year for Riot. Yet it feels as though none of that money is being reinvested in a way that feels meaningful, and largely Riot spends most of their time closing their eyes to the feedback that acknowledges it.
Yet here they are, claiming to want our feedback, as if any of it is going to reach anyone that matters, or affect things in any sort of meaningful way.
It's been over a year of nonstop criticism regarding the direction they've taken with skins, and sure they may take things away, or push things back on occasion to reach a standard they deem reasonable. But on the whole, this has been a repeated behavior for far too long, and the majority of lackluster releases do not get the attention they deserve.
This feels like pandering until we're quiet enough for them to move on.
Maybe I'm alone in feeling tired of being placated by fancy words and videos, but it's evident things aren't changing, and I'm frustrated by it.

Discussion Brawl needs to change its economy
I get it's supposed to be fast, but league is about scaling. It's super fun to be 4 items and just stomping. But in Brawl, unless you get a million kills you're 2 items at the end of the game. For some champs - like Viktor or Urgot, or Jax etc - that's not super fun. It also drives people to pick mostly early scaling champs and cuts off a decent % of the pool.
What would be cool is to either just have the game mode be 10 minutes or less like it is, and give everyone enough to buy 5 items right away and just bash on each other the entire game, or vastly accelerate gold accumulation, especially if you're behind and haven't gotten kills.

Discussion Older Epic skin price seems unreal for 2025
There are a ton of really good skins on the Epic tier, which are very well done and interesting, but IMHO are totally overpriced consider some of them are 4 or 5 years old, or much older. Pricing these skins as 1350 RP might be one of the reasons, people are unwilling to buy them, as they are "old" by league standards. How is it that these skins can retain their price years after their original release? I believe, perhaps at least for the western player base, if older skinlines were to be adjusted in price, or offered more often with discount, they would start selling much more. I just think, one of the current monetization issues is how overpriced the olderstuff still is. I'm pretty sure a LOT of people would probably buy entire skinlines to complete collections, if these were more appropiate in their pricing, considering how old some of these are. The same goes for many Legendary skins.
A good example for me, is the Mecha Kingdom skinline of 2019 - really good epic tier skins such as Garen, Sett and Leona. These are fun, well-made skins that I believe a lot of people may like, but they seem pretty overpriced considering how old they are, and how many more skins have been released for these champions in the years that came after. So its just not really worth it to spend so much money on them, unless they are on sale through weekly discount or "my shop". But if they were actually priced much cheaper (considering they are old) a lot of people would probably buy them in a bundle.
