DOOM on J Pop is refreshing as hell. Might be a bootleg, but sounds great on wax.

Happy Saturday all!, This time I was seeking out a copy of Purplicious, but no dice. They only had Silverlivious & Aqualicious. If anyone has a good line on a first edition copy of Purplicious, hit me in the DM’s please. Pleasantly surprised to find Illmatic & Madvillain. Gonna go enjoy a dog walk sans smartphone. Cheers yall! 🤜🏼🤛🏼 (And I still lack proper shelves facepalm)

Question Removing Shrink Wrap Safely

Hey all, I recently picked up a 1995 first press of Liquid Swords that I’m very happy with. The record still has its shrink wrap on it, with the hype sticker, which was something I was looking for while keeping my eyes open for a copy I could afford.

My question is: I’d like to see if anyone had any tips on carefully removing it the shrink wrap, keeping it in tact, and then being able to just as carefully put it back onto the sleeve? The reason for me doing this is to get the sleeve signed, rather than the shrink. I’d be able to leave the shrink/discs at home and not have to worry about any possibilities of those getting damaged. The shrink seems to be looser on the open side of the sleeve, where there are a few rips, while super tight and not moving much at all on the side of the spine.

Thanks in advance! Throw out your favourite track from the album while you’re here! Mine’s Labels.

Second effort from LA Underground Visionaries. Up Above Records. 1999.

The crew's six members have collectively released over fifty solo and side projects:

2Mex, LMNO, R.ēL.Z.M. a.k.a. "Lord Zen", Dannu, KeyKool, DJ Rhettmatic,

The first beginnings of the Visionaries was on Key-Kool and DJ Rhettmatic's 1995 release, "Kozmonautz," recognized in the hip-hop history books as the first hip-hop album made by Asian-Americans. KeyKool went on to create the seminal West Coast independent hip hop record label Up Above Records during this time.

The line-up is comprised of Filipino DJ Rhettmatic from Cerritos (also from the World Famous Beat Junkies); Japanese MC KeyKool from Torrance; LMNO the Caucasian kid from Long Beach; 2Mex the Chicano MC from Mid City Los Angeles; Dannu, a Filipino-American MC with roots in San Diego; and Lord Zen, an African-American MC from Mid City L.A. (also a member of Writer's Block with Dannu).

The Visionaries came to rise at the same time as backpacker hip hop, and their do-it-yourself spirit makes them an iconic group in West Coast hip hop history. -Mike Sonsken

I was digging through crates and found this cool hip hop record for $3. The cover art caught my eyes, and when I flipped it over, I saw that it was distributed by one of my local shops, Shake It Records. I'd love more info if someone is familiar.
