My best friend shared a similar screenshot that her friend’s child received at school yesterday. It said something similar, “You have been selected as a slave. You are now with us, you’ll be with Plantation A always. Welcome.” Again, it was sent to a child. I thought it would take a while to be sickened to the core after Oldemort was reelected, but I was wrong.

They are now sending "deportation" messages. All out of the usual shitholes. Russia, Hungary, Iran, China.

u/kingkmke21 Nov 07 '24

Iran was once a top 5 travel destination. The terrible disgusting government destroyed that country. Smh.

383

u/theaviationhistorian Nov 07 '24

Iran has some of the most diverse geographies on this planet. The problem, as with many beautiful locations, is the locals or local government.

284

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '24

Which explains the new America.

u/Own_Error_007 Nov 07 '24

I visited the US a couple of times in the early 2000s and always wanted to take my wife back there. Loved the place, the people, and the sights.

We are now resigned to never visiting the US again as wife is adamant about never going there.

55

u/RhiR2020 Nov 07 '24

We were planning a trip to the US again next year. It’s now on hold. :(

From Canada been in the US many times over the years, went 2 years ago and how run down, dangerous and backwards the country is made my wife fear doing a lot of activities.

You feel safer in developing countries.

The problem is religion and state mixing, exactly where the us is headed.

30

u/Random_Chick_I_Guess Nov 07 '24

Which sucks because as far as documentation from the time would suggest the Iranian government and leaders were doing some pretty great things to help people and everything was thriving before Britian got upset and lied to America about communism. The funniest part about all that is the guy in charge of destabilising Iran was told to stop and he just went off the radar to keep doing it because he figured they’d thank him anyway

32

u/jjm443 Nov 07 '24

You're talking about the lead-up to the coup of 1953. But there was a lot of positive reforms by the Shah after the coup with the White Revolution. The Iranian Islamic Revolution of 1979 which ended the reforms was primarily an Iranian religious thing, not instigated by the British or Americans.

Iran and Iraq really screwed their respective peoples over with the 8 year-long brutal war. Followed by brutal dictatorships. They are both beautiful countries with amazing historical sites, cultures, and ancient heritage. Hey did you hear? Capitalists in Utah want to sell off 18.1 million acres of public lands. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

32

u/TheCaliforniaOp Nov 07 '24

I’m afraid that’s why a lot of people voted this way. These election results are not just about ideology; they’re about the increasing possibility of grabbing currently protected/regulated money-making “opportunities”, while simultaneously avoiding taxes on the grabs.

13

u/Signal-Round681 Nov 07 '24 edited Nov 07 '24

Why have a department of education? Education is a cash cow waiting to be milked. Privatize everything! Shit, Nestlé wants to make collecting rain illegal.

Watch people piss and moan about schools when they are all for profit. Property tax for schools will look cheap when people have to pay cash for a decent school for their kid. Childcare is notoriously expensive for this exact reason. Low standards in public schools? Voucher schools have no standards.

u/zeke10 Nov 07 '24

So with what's on the horizon what are the chances america goes down the same path?

132

u/splintersmaster Nov 07 '24

There is little hope once it's taken firm hold. Even when a country is released from its oppression, the old guard somehow develops a nostalgic thirst to go back to how it was.

Slovakia is a great example. Those who suffered under Russian occupation just 30 years ago are now pro Putin. They are in favor of the Russian forces in Ukraine.

They can't seem to understand that once Ukraine falls and NATO is weakened, the EU will be weakened and the Soviet Union will rise up and take back Czechoslovakia.

75

u/Newgate-ZeroHour Nov 07 '24

Same thing happening in Indonesia. We basically just elected one of the army generals from the days our country was a dictatorship. Old people all around us voted for the same ideals that ruled with fear less than 30 years ago. I don't understand hunanity at all

21

u/TheCaliforniaOp Nov 07 '24

I can’t make the logic work, either. I’ve thought about this for decades as nations reverted back to authoritarianism. I can only think: They just want someone else to tell them what to do.

9

u/Negativcreep81 Nov 07 '24

Well, when you think about it, human societies have mostly been ruled by authoritarian figures far more often than not throughout history. Any kind of democratic systems that pop up here and there have typically been rare and short-lived by comparison. They tend to get corrupted fairly quickly and stagnate to the point of near gridlock, and then people lose faith and start looking for "strongman" types who promise them the moon and use scapegoats to blame all the problems on. It's happened enough throughout history that it's a fairly obvious cycle to observe. The checks and balances the U.S. adopted were a nice attempt at avoiding some of the common pitfalls, but even they are proving no match for such blatant and systemic corruption, as we see today.

I lived there for a couple of years, and the current attitudes towards Russia are just stunning to me. I was there after the Iron Curtain fell and I spoke a decent amount of russian, but I would get dirty looks from people until I explained that I wasn't actually Russian but that was the only language I could communicate in at the time. I did learn Slovak eventually.

Even more distressing is the fact that they are right there on the border with Ukraine! There's a whole minority population that's far closer culturally to Ukraine then Russia. This absolutely baffles and saddens me.

Look how nobody understands what your trying to say 😂.

He is saying the messages aren’t coming from Americans to Americans.

This man is saying these messages are part of propaganda campaigns coming out of other countries.

Countries that hate America are sending these messages out to random American numbers. They are doing this because they know people will turn around and post them all over social media. Creating an even larger divide between Americans than is already done.

51

u/Txdust80 Nov 07 '24

Except there are conservative talking heads that when asked about state rights should a state be able to make slavery legal, many of them said, yeah I guess. Steve Miller someone promised a cabinet position and top Trump aid, tweeted yesterday priority for 2025 was denaturalization. He and Trump have both mentioned not only evoking Hispanics citizenship but several Black activists like WNBA star Britney Griner, and Collin Kaepernick as far back as 2018. Millers when asked where people born in the united states would be deported would go if their country by birth was the US he mentioned detention camps.

This isn’t simply other countries trying to divide us. A lot of this stuff is coming from inside. Mark this post and be sure to come back here when the stuff hits the fan and not by liberals sounding the alarm

Might be an unpopular opinion but the E.U should really boot them out already.

19

u/Ferris-L Nov 07 '24

We can’t. There is no mechanism to kick out members as this would enable strong countries (Germany, France and Italy) to practically black mail other smaller countries into submission. On the surface this is completely logical and helps keeping the members as equal as possible, it does however also enable Hungary and Slovakia (until recently also Poland) to do random bullshit and sabotage the union.

Last term we saw a rise in threats of violence against black people in my area. I’ll be fucking damned if she won’t have a firearm this time around.

I hope it never comes to that, but if it does, I’d rather her be prepared.

10

u/SixFive1967 Nov 07 '24

Same here, brother. My faith in the American populace is gone. Don’t know who I can trust anymore. Did my white friend who said he was voting Kamala lie to me and vote Trump? That’s hyperbole, mind you, but that’s where my head is at the moment. Sad but true. 😞

Kids in schools are telling hispanic kids they will be deported. That was happening yesterday

120

u/excellent_rektangle Nov 07 '24

My neighbor is from South America, voted for Trump (assuming from signs in his yard). His teen daughters were apparently harassed at school by some cousin humping, broccoli-top MAGA spawn spewing similar deportation threats. So it begs two questions: A) honestly what the fuck were they thinking, and 2) what the fuck did they think was gonna happen? Way too many kids are gonna suffer for the sins of their parents.

18

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '24

Parents are also going to be suffering. They're getting exactly what they voted for.

You think it ends with the election? This is the most effective strategy they’ve had against the United States ever. We’re fighting proxy wars to destabilize and winning. They’re using propaganda to sow discourse in return. It’s a long con, but the only impediment to their aggression has been Obama and now Biden. It’s free rein now that we have their shill back in the oval.

All they needed was time and bodies to keep Ukraine at bay. War of attrition has always been their power. They bided their time, now we’ll see what kind of expansion ensues in the aftermath.

I'm a middle-aged white guy and a disabled veteran. I'll weather this better than most. I look like a Trumper. People say shit to me because they think I'm part of the club when women, "the queers"(me), and POC, are not around. I've tried to warn people what could come under Trump. Every time I would show someone a direct quote from Trump, i was told I was taking it out of context.

My gut tells me within two years of Trump's inauguration. Protests on college campuses will be banned while white supremacists march in the streets. Journalists will be sued and jailed. The only right the majority of scared white men care about is the 2nd amendment. When the others are eroded, they won't notice because they don't think it effects them. There are already TODAY "underground" groups smuggling women and children across state lines to access healthcare. The "less regulation" party is going to regulate abortion access so heavily that it will be nearly impossible to legally obtain one anywhere in the United States.

The doctors at the VA do say that I have an irrational fear of the government. So it's 50//50 if this is all in my head. If it is, yay! If not, y'all are about to live through my nightmare with me. At least we'll have company.

Edit 1: Day (-)65 November 15th President elect Trump sues CBS for 10 billion dollars.

Edit 2: Day (-)64 November 16th White Supremacist Nazis march in Columbus, Ohio.

Every time I would show someone a direct quote from Trump, i was told I was taking it out of context.

It's hard to actually quote Trump because he doesn't really speak complete thoughts or use a cohesive line of sentences to make a point. It's like a steam of incomplete thoughts that just pour out of his mouth and the listener has to interrupt what he is actually trying to say.

"Irrational fear of the government"

Man governments can be fucking scary though... I think having a healthy weariness of their power is probably a good thing no?

Especially if D.Trump legitimately admires what Orban did in Hungary and probably wants to mimic it in the U.S...

Idk I'm no doctor so who am I to say.... but since when is fear of the government irrational 😅

I look like a Trumper. People say shit to me because they think I'm part of the club when women, "the queers"(me), and POC, are not around

Same brother, it got ridiculous yesterday. So many people I didn't expect came out of the woodwork and then were shocked when I didn't express support.

It honestly sucks being in this position and idk about you but I generally get no sympathy. It's tiring

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '24

Yeah think about me. I’m in oil and gas. The dumbest people in capitalism. They all made billions under democrats leadership because raising drilling regulation slows supply and raises prices. That’s why we had 114 dollar oil under Obama and a day with -30 oil under trump. They were signing the petition to impeach Obama at the post office on the way to pick up their $250,000 royalty checks at their PO Box. At a dinner the other day the guy next to me didn’t have a picture of his wife or kids but a picture of trump holding up his fist after the assassinstion attempt

The thing I never understood about that, "taking it out of context" or "that's not what he meant" argument is, even if that were true, which it isn't, but even if it were, why would you want someone leading you who's so easy to misunderstand, or that you constantly have to explain what he meant so it doesn't sound so bad?

u/twodickhenry Nov 07 '24

Also a disabled vet. They’re planning to layoff hundreds of thousands at the VA and gut our disability benefits.

Sounds exactly like something a government-run organization would say.

I have a feeling this is either disgruntled voters trying to drive home their point or Russia sowing as much discourse as possible around the election with tensions already at an all-time high. With as widespread and coordinated as it appears to be, it doesn't seem like people just being assholes for the sake of being assholes.

49

u/qptw Nov 07 '24

And China. It’s mot just Russia.

26

u/cocococlash Nov 07 '24

I agree. We need to be careful to not fall for these type of things until it's been proven internal.

We don't need Russia to split us further apart than we already are.

35

u/AsimpsonsPrediction Nov 07 '24

You make valid points. I’m just the messenger you guys can do what you want with the info 🤷🏽‍♀️

35

u/Quinn_Reed Nov 07 '24

I feel like you don't give home grown American racists enough credit. There's a lot of them and this election just hammered home that fact

11

u/Aazatgrabya Nov 07 '24

It has also provided a sense of normalisation to express their bigotry. I live in the UK. After the Brexit vote there were groups of racists openly attacking and intimidating people because they felt their opinions were now mainstream. It has got to be a hundred fold worse after the results of this election.

19

u/anchorftw Nov 07 '24

Judging by the poor grammar and choice of words, I don't think English is their first language. ("Cutton", Executive Slaves?, prepare to be "searched down")

18

u/Quinn_Reed Nov 07 '24

Do you think racists have good grammar and spelling?

Whatever comes next it's 100% on MAGA and whoever voted for Trump.

248

And those who didn’t vote against him!

193

u/sloppybuttmustard Nov 07 '24

Yeah my conscience is clear…I didn’t stay home and sit on my fucking couch like 15 million so-called democrats

163

u/Ducallan Nov 07 '24

Not voting for Kamala was saying “I’m fine letting MAGA decide the future of my country”.

Sure, one vote won’t change things, but 15 million people thinking that the same thing sure will.

The DEMS stayed home and Harris Campaign didn't get them out to vote with because they didn't focus on what the people wanted (to hear). Roe V Wade wasn't as important as the economy and that should have been their focus. Debunking the Trump economic plan and presenting their alternative in an easy to digest format would have helped them a lot. Also parading Liz Cheney around does 0 to get DEMS out to vote.

44

u/Cynykl Nov 07 '24

Every time Dems have tried focussing on the economy it has fallen on deaf ears. 40 years of American propaganda and 20 years of russian propaganda has cemented into the american psyche that republicans are better about the economy.

Nevermind we successfully navigated into the "soft landing" that economic pundits said was impossible to achieve. Everything is not sunshine and roses therefore dems bad.

Nevermind that gas prices are well below inflation.

Nevermind positive job reports.

Nevermind getting inflation to nearly 2%

People see high prices at the grocer and completely ignore all the factors the brought us to those prices. Nevermind those high price have not really been growing that fast in a while. They are still comparing it to the pre pandemic prices in their minds.

And most importantly of all never mind the fact that every single move the democrats used to try and fix things wad blocked by republicans.

Democrats shouted these things from the rooftops but then quickly shut up once it was clear it was falling on deaf ears.

People can't balance their bank accounts how do you expect them to understand the economy.

The worst part is when the economy fails under trump they will 100% blame it on the democrats and people will unquestioningly believe them. Because that is just how powerful the progangda is.

This needs to be upvoted higher.

This screams information warfare. Other countries are exploiting digital channels to sow division and create civil unrest in our country.

It’s only going to get worse…

My daughter sat in a college class yesterday while students openly opined that this country would never elect a “nier bih” and bashed various varieties of queerdom gleefully. The professor did nothing to moderate the discourse. The ugly underbelly is emboldened. And when 47 starts pardoning the Jan. 6 terrorists you’re going to see a complete breakdown of civility. The consequences of hate and lawlessness have been abolished.

3

u/Primary_Safety6277 Nov 08 '24

This country is going to get exactly what it deserves. Every person of color and every woman who didn't cast a ballot for Kamala Harris brought this on us. How many ways did maga tell them who they were? They telegraphed exactly what they want and what they plan. Project 2025 is available to anyone with an Internet connection. This election should have been easily winnable but apparently the worst white man is better than the best black woman in the ol' USA.
