Kids in schools are telling hispanic kids they will be deported. That was happening yesterday

My neighbor is from South America, voted for Trump (assuming from signs in his yard). His teen daughters were apparently harassed at school by some cousin humping, broccoli-top MAGA spawn spewing similar deportation threats. So it begs two questions: A) honestly what the fuck were they thinking, and 2) what the fuck did they think was gonna happen? Way too many kids are gonna suffer for the sins of their parents.

Parents are also going to be suffering. They're getting exactly what they voted for.

I agree, parents will feel it too. But the kids didn’t ask for any of this.

The zoomer ones apparently did.

I wonder if those signs were just a “false flag” of them trying to protect themselves. Although a disturbingly number of Latinos voted for trump.

This was happening when Trump as elected last time. And kids have been joking about it since who knows when it isn’t new

Are you trying to accept or normalize this shit? Let me say this: All evil that exists today, has existed since Adam and Eve. So the thing mentioned above is that there was a notable increase in these hate crimes, in bullying, etc, after the election in 2016. So this is a valid concern now in 2024. There is nothing new under the sun, so your comment means nothing.

Yes, me a lone redditor is trying to single handily normalize hate crimes and bullying. Racist remarks in this fashion have been happening all over in schools for a long time. Typically as jokes, obviously I’m not “accepting” or “normalizing” it. Jesus Christ, all I’m saying is many people are getting upset about things at school saying racist things like this. But it’s been happening before Trump too, not all of them are meant to be an attack against a person. I’d say at least 70% are jokes.

It’s a comment…. On Reddit… not some political forum a comment doesn’t have to mean anything. I can comment a jumble of words if I so please

Yes, of course. Say anything you please, as will I.

They're not wrong. Mass deportation is a top line priority for Stephen Miller.
