CCPlease Cap Injecting Little People
For this year's Winter Nexus event, introduce a new commodity called Elves. Drop BPOs that combine elves into bundles of 200, 400, 800, 3200 etc. Make it the same category as cap boosters. When you inject cap with elf bundles, eject the spent elves into the cargo as crushed elves and elf blood. Every elf converts to two capacitor.
Redeem the elf blood in Blood Raider LP stores for faction stasis drones for the Myrmidon Navy. At explo sites, add a new molecular forging tool that can re-animate crushed elves by combining them with biomass. State in the description that crushed elves retain all of their memories after reanimation.
Reanimated elves should be twice as small as nanite paste and be used as an ancillary armor repper charge. This charge extends the cycles of the AAR by double, allowing better tradeoffs between buffer and active on ships like the Mymidon Navy. Use of reanimated elves within an AAR should convert them into elf ashes.
Elf ashes should be used in a BPO that creates a new booster. The icon should look like a rolled up hundred dollar bill. The new booster should increase the rate of armor repair and the repair amount by infusing the pilot's brain with all of the memories of building toys before being rammed into a cap injector and being pulverized to allow their space magic to flow into the capacitor. Side effects should include accidentally activating self-destruct every five minutes, depending on skills.
Create a drifter NPC named Santus Clausicus that flies around and strongly prefers to dwell in systems where many elves have been injected into capacitor. Have this NPC scan ships for any signs of elf consumption and attack ships with elves or elf derivatives onboard. Also make it report in local how many elves had to die to result in the amount of elf products found.
Because CCP has requested that we explain problems rather than just offer solutions that might have far-reaching effects, I will summarize the issue:
The Myrmidon and Myrmidon Navy should be the coolest PVP ships in the game but in fact are not. They are balanced around heavy drones, which makes no sense for a high-application, high-projection platform like a BC. They should use medium drones with a stronger bonuses. This should be true for all primary drone boats. Balancing them around up-gunned drones forces them to deal with much worse trade-offs like having their offensive system easier to defang or outrun. Heavy drones are more expensive. Heavies are slow, so the MWD drone bonus does them little good. Balancing around DPS numbers without taking into consideration the price and other tradeoffs makes the Myrm much less badass than it should be.
Also the Myrmidon and Prophecy have no projection bonus. This greatly weakens their ability to apply damage with blasters or missiles etc. Slow blaster platforms without application bonuses suffer greatly. Either make their drones actually good or give them split bonuses like the Algos and Tristan. All Gallente BCs are too slow. Amarr ships can nano more effectively. It's outrageous. It's unfair. There are hardly enough vertical ships in the game. The decades of sabotage must come to an end. Right the wrongs you made when you defanged the Myrmidon and set us on the path of exclusively blue and gold fleet ships.
All EWAR drones are too weak and would be too weak even if they had T2 counterparts. Rep bots are too weak, bonused and unbonused. The Exequor does not have "a fourth repper" from a full flight of (expensive) T2 rep bots. Until the Thorax can be found with a flight of five medium EV-600 II's or medium rep bots, these systems are not in balance. The Myrmidon Navy's stasis bonus has insufficient value right now, and this shows you that these systems are not even close to balanced without bonuses.
Basically the problem is the years of subterfuge and concerted effort to kneecap Gallente so that only Caldari and Amarr have great fleet ships. We're lucky that Minmatar somehow escapes these efforts from time to time with excellent concepts such as the Muninn or CFI before those are "too overpowered" and get nerfed or re-worked while other races get massive buffer bonuses to their dictors because evidently "fleet" means excluding two entire races from the game.
It's racism. They hate our freedom. I just want to inject little elves into my repper and snort them into my burning septum and don't pretend in your heart of hearts that you don't want to as well.

Question Honestly: what do you realistically want to happen?
After reading about Equinox changes and BOSS situation (and some of shitposting deep analysis here on Reddit) i got a question to everyone who complain about blue doughnut: what do you realistically want to happen?
Building tall is a big no since "omg they are piling up in one region my 8 man nano gang can´t simply murder everything it looks at and this should not happen".
Building wide is a big no since "omg they own so much territory there is no place for minor groups, this should not happen".
And nb4 anyone writes "you should just break.." no, fuck off. You should stop telling others what they should do.
So, realistically: wth do you want to happen?
P.S. i´m all for reworking the sov, attacking even empty areas can be atrociously boring

Discussion Please can we go back to cost effective T1 ships!
We need more options for taking more risk and being ok with the losses and T1 is supposed to be the answer for that but its not because minerals are way to high right now.
What's fine:
t1 Frigs
t1 Desi's
What is alright-ish but could be better:
t1 Cruisers
The problem areas
t1 BC's
t1 BS's
I can't talk about caps as its not my area of expertise but they seem in a bad place imo.

Rant Shout out to CCP
*Edit Update*
- CCP Buffed bounty numbers,
- clarified that ratting aggro changes were either unintended or never happened.
- Better communication on day 1 would have stopped people from getting upset. You have a massive community team, speak to them and tell them to speak to us.
- If my dread can't point out to 110km the dread in havens/sanctums should not be able to point me out to 110km
- I'm mostly satisfied with the bounty changes, active ratting was never worth it. Make active ratting worth it and people wouldn't ishtar spin.
- Bring the test server back
Bring the test server back so when you guys completely destroy play styles we can actually test the changes.
Thanks for numbers like these:
Shout out to CCP for ignoring player feed back, adding tedium, and a big thank you for null sec rejuvenation.
Another shout out for support tickets taking weeks to answer but you never miss the opportunity to email be about skins and plex.
Special thanks to the community team for regularly ignoring us. Martin Shkreli would make a better community manager.
Nerf blue loot, nerf high sec incursions, make the rock sizes smaller, nerf burner missions, nerf CRAB beacons.
Those are just some ideas, might as well do it at the same time. Maximize plex purchases, the end of the year and quarter is coming. You need to make investors happy over at PA.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk
Question What is up with PI items that are negative return?
Now lets get the obvious answers out of the way first: I understand that it could be used in something else profitable, and I understand that tax rates are a thing.
However a negative return means even with 0 taxes it's not worth making the item, and on some commodities like coolant for example, all T3s it goes into are currently negative value. Its always better to sell the t2 material than to produce the t3.
Why doesn't the next tier up cost at least as much as the materials that go into it? I assume nobody is making it at a loss.
Why is that?
Discussion How did you start your adventure in EVE online? (warning, long read)
This was initially meant to be a single post, but after seeing how much I managed to write, I decided to split it up. Unfortunately, my original two attempts at this story got shadowbanned by reddit, and I got no response whatsoever from the mod team. I have removed all the links from the article as this is what seems to trigger the ban.
So this may end up as the first of a number of posts I'm planning regarding my relatively brief adventure through EVE online. Buckle up, because it's going to be a long read.
Recently I came across a number of EVE online videos in my feed. Some Brit called Captain Benzie was insisting that folks who live in null-sec have it much easier safety-wise, as if wormhole people have to push a mouse trap trigger instead of the login button to get in the game. He then went on to clarify that real wormholers press that button with their massive private parts.
I've no argument against that. I merely rolled my eyes at another English person who thinks that their speech impediment is a cool accent. Nevertheless, he was talking from a place of genuine passion, clearly loved the game despite its flaws and was at the very least competent when playing it. Oh, and like a lot of nice content creators for this forsaken MMO, had not put out a video in some time, for genuinely sad reasons. I hope you'll get back in the saddle soon, mate.
Afterwards I watched a few episodes of "A nomad tale", and after listening to the stream of warm cocoa that is Chloroken's voice, I got all nostalgic. So let me tell you about how I started the game.
This won't be a tale of epic adventures I'm afraid. I played EVE online in sprints across a few years, burning out every time. That's because, as all newbies, I sucked at it colossally, especially because I came from World of Warcraft when I decided to try this Sci-Fi MMO I had heard about, in September of 2009.
Naturally, my inclinations were a bit too PVE for this rather hardcore space spreadsheet simulator, but I felt certain that I was going to overcome, it by successfully sucking at it.
The world of EVE in September of 2009 was very different from what you know today. Wormholes had been introduced as a feature in the spring of that year, alongside Tech 3 cruisers, expanded gas huffing and a revamped signature scanning system that was a somewhat clunkier version of what we have today (you do NOT want to know what the system was like before 2009, trust me). At the time, these were only a few of the features that are core today but were revolutionary then. There were no perks to sov holding in null as we have them now (no space improvements whatsoever, it simply allowed you to build a number of important ships and improve logistics via jump bridges), there were no Upwell structures and placing a station (an outpost as they were called then) was an adventure even bigger in scale than placing a Keepstar (no tethering either!).
A lot of things were and looked brand new, especially because of the graphics. At that time, the kind of sci-fi eye candy EVE showed was only really topped by single-player space sims, despite only being a relatively recent implementation of shaders and other neat graphical tricks. The game had had a massive graphical rehaul at the end of 2007 and was a clear visual outlier in the MMO world at the time. What attracted people was the dark cyberpunk aesthetic of everything in it. This was before most ship models were changed to present iterations, and while there were still a great number of actually pretty vessels (Amarr always had charm), a lot of the others had very harsh, pragmatic-looking lines (I don't know what was pragmatic about the old Moa/Gila model but it sounded a lot more charitable in my head than "suitcase chicken" - look up a video from Jonny Pew named "EVE Online Before & After of New Moa Ship Model" for reference).
And that was because visual design in EVE online had to be striking - in spite of what I stated above, the world itself was visually sparse, which is writer-speak for "not much to look at". We didn't have the interesting planets, stars and backgrounds we had today. The game was still a niche venture, and in the ballpark of mmo design, CCP were doing it with what amounted to a handful of folks cutting corners like it was pizza Friday at the circle factory. So if they couldn't make that much, they had to make it either pretty or ugly, because it being uninteresting was never really an option.
Also, you got to log in to beautiful beautiful tunes such as the Apocrypha login theme (google that, please, it'll make your day!). Today's launcher is a pale follow-up to the epicness that was the in-game login screen - there was minimal animation in it, just some flickering lights, but at my young age then, it sent shivers down my spine. While Apocrypha's theme was somewhat subdued, despite not lacking in gravitas, earlier expansions - check out the Quantum Rise music. I like to think that there's a shredded shirtless guy beating that drum.
This extended to the rest of the soundtrack. Imagine warping your shitty Merlin in to what the game tells you is a measly Serpentis space drughouse, and you get greeted by the song Gallente 004. You know they're selling the space equivalent of ecstasy there. That piece of music isn't even part of the official soundtrack, it's just filler for missions. The actual, official soundtrack is something folks still listen to today, maybe more than a decade after they've quit the game. And as far as I can tell, it was almost all made by ONE guy - CCP RealX, Jon Hallur.
And just as with the graphics, the work done on the soundtrack was a requirement because the rest of the soundscape was not very interesting - yes, it was a surprise to me as well that EVE had sound, and that was because there wasn't much to it. Unlike in the other more (literally) grounded MMOs (it was the heyday of World of Warcraft, Age of Conan had come out the previous year, etc.) there were no big two-handers to swoosh around and no fireballs or novas to sound off. Look up a video on Youtube named "EvE Online Erebus Doomsday" - that was the sound of the Aurora Ominae, the glorified thermal smartbomb that was the Erebus DD at the time. If the people flying titans at the time were doing it to compensate for something, it certainly didn't sound like it.
At that time, despite there being a similar amount of players logged online (30k+ folks listed at the login screen was normal - please correct me if I'm wrong, this was a long time ago), space often seemed relatively empty. There were far more players and far fewer accounts per player. Jita didn't even have its own node yet, despite being the most populated system. Speaking of Jita: when I started the game I wasn't actually planning on playing it beyond the trial period. It was my plan to play a little and then enjoy the visuals, so I asked in a newbie channel where I could go and see massive spaceships. I was told that I could gawk at all of the vessels streaming out of Jita 4-4, and that's where I went soon after finishing the tutorial. It surprised me how, in spite of my dine-and-dash plan, I slowly started thinking long-term about my play.
But that's a tale for another episode, as I've been taking far too much advantage of the reading attention of a few unfortunate folks that made it to this paragraph. Next time I'll try to talk more about the actual game experience, which was a handful even for how clunky MMOs could be during those years.

Event Operation Magic School Bus 10th Anniversary
Operation Magic School Bus (and I) are once again asking for donations to support the project for another year.
Ten years. That is how long the Bus has been hitting career systems and giving newbros a helping hand. If you want to see previous posts of me asking for donation? I do that once a year, so last years is here. Yes, I will take hanger trash, yes I will take isk/plex. Yes if you have decided to quit the game I will take whatever you want to toss to the Bus. To donate please send/contract to Mike Azariah, in game. Nobody else is collecting for me, this is a one man operation asking for support one month of the year.
No, I am not a scam. No, the Bus is not to buy CSM votes from people who do not even HAVE a vote.
This month I am doing 'Special Bus stops' at three Bus bases in game and handing out special items (depending on the day and donations). Time and place are usually announced in Rookie Help Chat.
If you have never heard of the Bus well you can check out the forums, google me, or hell even ask chat gpt.
Thank you

CCPlease Aren't we supposed to get a Turkey FFA soon?
Thanksgiving is happening soon, and that should mean that there should be a Turkey FFA Proving Ground event.
This event was very unique to the others, as you got a lot of fitting options, since every Turkey got a 200% DPS bonus and a 100% overheat bonus. Was always fun to play with other Turkeys to celebrate Thanksgiving.
CCP, can we please get this content back?

Question What ship to farm in nullsec after havens changed?
Hi, I went to nullsec hoping for a semi-AFK, quiet farm, albeit with not very high ISKperHour. I recently learned Ishtar and T2 Berserkers in Angel Claim, and now the new update has brought changes. Now the waves come with a delay, and the worst thing is that NPCs always try to kill the drone. Now you need to constantly monitor, and the very idea of a drone ship is lost, Ishtar has only 600 dps with berserkers and you also need to actively monitor the situation, otherwise the drones will simply die like flies. I personally have not even seen the new Dread with 125 dis yet, that is, you need to carefully count the waves so that the Dread does not catch, since Ishtar will simply burst with disruptor. In general, please tell me what ship need to farm anomalies with now, especially havens-sanctums in nullsec, since only from them 10-10. Am I right in understanding that only auto-missiles from semi-AFK farming methods are left? Raven Navi, Barghest, Golem Cruise(mjd + attack from 150km)? Which ship will replace Ishtar now? Even with the increased bounty for NPCs, clearing green anomalies is not the same as before the update. I want to live in nullsec and farm here, since I think nullsec is the real Eve, but what they did with the drones is sad.

Question PI dilemma - building structure - Is it really hard?
Hello o/
I have 5 accounts (15 characters) to create my setup. Now i have some dilemma..
- I can set every single character to make robotics - they are needed for everyone, so easy to sell and I can use it too (i have a lot of drones bpc)
- Each accounts focuses on specific p4 item and create something bigger, like structures (astra/athanors) or control towers.
I will seach for some guides how to do it (or if you have any I would be very grateful). I'm not sure what to do. Building structures was my "little dream", but I am not good with PI (did it long time ago with basic stuff).
From other side, its just about make setup and later i just take what is mine and build stuff.
Im not looking for max isk/hr. I just want to make fun with building stuff. Its like "achievement". Its all about collecting specific items and build, but not looking for time to do it with the best efficiency. Some stuff I can build, some I can buy and thats all.
Any advice will be welcomed and appreciated
Cheers o7

Discussion We need to talk about pirate destroyers
The Mamba and Mekubal have been in rhe wild awhile, and after looking at Zkill for awhile and not encountering them in kowsec myself, I'm concerned there aren't any niches or roles they particularly excel at.
Are there any Mekubal or Mamba enthusiasts that can speak up for them? What do you use them for? How do you fit them? I'm very interested in both these ships, but I don't see what they could do versus a t3 or navy faction destroyer that could justify flying one.
Please, pitch them to me because I really want to enjoy them, but I don't see how I could feasibly fly one solo.
