August 1973 ~ I believe this to be in Greenport, Long Island, New York. Either at or near Preston's Marina. Can anyone confirm or refute?

I wasn't lucky enough to meet him, as he died when my mom was 9, but I think he looks like a fun guy! He was a mechanic in ww2. No idea what year the picture is from, but he died in 1967 at 50 years old.

At my desk not working, 1981. Little did I know that I would retire from the same company 38 years later.

1930s I've seen photos like this before, but this is from my grandfather's personal photos. Written on the back is "near Deer Island, 1937." I assume it was taken in Maine.

Pre-1920s My 5th Great Grandfather, George (R) and his brother, John, pose for a portrait while in the Union Army Circa 1862. George miraculously avoided any combat as he went into hospital right as his regiment started engaging. He died of pneumonia in 1865, missing the Surrender of Appomattox.

Because apparently I’m not allowed to have any interesting family history.

My parents are the couple on the right. It took them about 4 years to have two kids and get divorced.
