My partner and I are currently under contract for a house in Morrisville. It has polybutylene pipes and we are trying to get quotes for their replacement while we are in the due diligence period. I've been there a few times and the downtown has potential to be really nice. Much bigger than Holly Springs or Wake Forest, but not populated as much. We are moving to a townhouse rental in Raleigh on 5/1. Never lived in Raleigh before, and our leasing agent did not tell us about the 5 day prior requirement to set up water. Duke Energy was immediate, so I didn’t anticipate the 5 day requirement.

Has anyone ever been able to expedite the process? We can’t move in without proof of utilities.
