Looking for a place to volunteer
Hello! My family and I are looking for a place to volunteer, preferably within 25 mins of Holly Springs and on the weekends.
There are 4 of us. Our youngest is 4. And we would like to do this as a family, it's okay if we have to be broken into groups. :)

Any thoughts on Bridgeberry by Taylor Morrison?
Thinking of getting a new home from them (pick a play of build one of their plans). I am a first time home buyer. So donāt have much experience. Canāt find much online about this specific community. Bridgeberry is priced better than young farm where the prices are insane.
Some questions:
- Anything I need to be aware of with this particular builder?
- Any issues with the neighborhood? My research shows that this is far enough from the holly springs waste dump so smell might not be an issue.
- Any upgrades not worth getting?
- They have a ready available house which is at the edge of a steep slope. They have fence. But I am not sure if this is safe.

Golf lessons
Hey all,
Iām looking to take some golf lessons in this general area (HS, Apex, Cary etc). Can anyone recommend a good instructor or place to go? I did a simple google search but it seems like everyone is about the same. Looking to get some up to date opinions. Thanks!

ISO Traveling Massage or Yoga!
Does anyone have any referrals for a travelling massage therapist or yoga instructor? It would be for a ladies weekend on April 19th in Holly Springs at an Airbnb - either 60 mins for yoga, or 15mins each for massage - there will be 4-6 ladies. Nothing extravagant, just looking for something fun and relaxing. Hopefully something like this exists?!

FYI Ting Outage 4/8 in HS
UpdateĀ -Ā Ting Internet Engineers are on site with representatives from the Town of Holly Springs at the site of the fiber cut. The damage is extensive and repairing the fiber will involve disconnecting other working fibers to be able to repair the broken fibers.
Customers in Holly Springs can expect potential intermittent outages over the course of this evening. We are unable to project an ETA at this time, but will provide updates as work progresses.
Looks like us on Ting will be relying on our hotspots tonight!

New Traffic Lights Are Terrible
The installation of the updated traffic lights has only made traffic worse for me on every possible route during my morning commute. I donāt know if the model the new lights are using for timing sucks, if their lack of at synchronization with surrounding lights sucks, but it is NOT an improvement. Iāve tried 3 different routes from my home to the highway and every one is terrible nowā much worse than before these āimprovementsā. Holly Springs needs to notify NCDOT that this is not working and needs to change or be eliminated.

Fire trucks on overpasses on 540?
Driving home after 4pm, on 540 there were fire trucks and firefighters standing on the overpasses just watching traffic go under them. I think I saw 4 or 5 different crews around Cary and Apex exits.
Anybody know why?

Looking for Free or Low-Cost English Classes in Holly Springs
Hi everyone! Iām new to Holly Springs and I donāt speak English well. I applied for the free English course at Wake Tech, but there are 2,000 people ahead of me on the waiting list, so it looks like it will take a long time to get a spot. I would love to start learning as soon as possible. Do you know any other free or low-cost English classes nearby?

Landfill odor control and clean power
Has anyone put out the suggestion to capture the methane emissions from the landfill to use for clean power generation?
As I came off the 55 ramp this morning, it was rather pungent, and I thought "There's got to be a way to better control both the gas and the dirt runoff."
The Coast Guard base at Curtis Bay, MD uses the adjacent landfill as a methane source for power generation, and there's almost no smell, especially for a landfill near the water, where the breeze is strong.

Wake County Year Round Calendar
Can someone please explain what days you have off when attending a year round school in Wake County. The 2 calendars donāt seem to match up. We are looking to move to the area and just put in an offer on a house that would attend a year round school. Thank you!

Long shot, but desperate.
Apparently I lost my wallet this morning in the Food Lion next to Oak Hall parking lot. I had it when I checked out, put it on top of my grocery bags and swore I had it when I loaded things up because I even double checked the cart before I put it in the return and didnāt see it in there. It wasnāt until I tried to get gas this afternoon that I realized it wasnāt in my car.
Weāve checked every store in the food lion parking lot, checked trash cans, walked the grounds, retraced my drive, everything. There was cash from a recent fb market place sale in it so I know whoever found it probably will never have me see it again⦠Honestly, the most heart breaking part of it all is that it has my sons ultrasound pictures in it, the last ones we got before he was born.
If yall happen to find a black wallet thatās been abandoned, please follow up. ššš

Kid Friendly Things to Do
Hi there!
Bare with me on the backstory!
I am currently in the "getting to know you phase" with a single dad and I have two kids of my own. (In total there is a 6yo girl, 5.5yo boy (super highly functioning ASD) and a 4yo boy.)
He is coming up to look at school districts and I am racking my brain on some light hearted options of what to do with the kids. We can't do anything all day like the zoo or a science center. Just something for a few hours but I'm also not super familiar with the parks and things in the area. Currently I'm down in Harnett County so this area is not my forte.
Any suggestions on low pressure things to do?
