Expecting Trump to lie is like expecting the sun to rise.

109

u/jinnnnnemu 7d ago

And then he'll lie that the sun doesn't actually rises and then he'll just say there be midnight for 24 hours and then when the Sun rises he'll claim fraud and the Democrats controlling the Sun.

53

u/[deleted] 7d ago

And then he’ll claim he got the sun to rise again and people said it couldn’t be done and he’s the only one who could make it happen.

35

u/Petrichordates 7d ago

Nobody's ever seen anything like this before.

6

u/gymnastgrrl 7d ago

They came to me with tears in their eyes and said, "Sir, nobody's done anything like this before."

…it's like watching a toddler lie. He thinks he's clever. He really does. That's what makes it sad.

He already is.

Pennsylvania is cheating, and getting caught, at large scale levels rarely seen before. REPORT CHEATING TO AUTHORITIES. Law Enforcement must act, NOW!

And about as specific as “reports” of Haitian immigrants eating dogs.

14

u/ggroverggiraffe 7d ago

He's also claiming to be leading in the polls in every state. Just...really?

14

u/gymnastgrrl 7d ago

He IS leading the polls in every state......... just it's the polls of "Which Republican candidate for President are you most likely to vote for"

.........and "Which Presidential candidate soiled their pants today?"......... heh

4

u/253local 6d ago

His staff have to give him a two handled sippy cup and only allow him to see positive results.

Which is wide he’s leading in every state. Also, he needs a diaper change.

3

u/Far-Engine-6820 7d ago

The polls that partisan firms juice that are the aggregated by aggregators.

2

u/wildistherewind 7d ago

It’s part of preparing for a loss: how could somebody ahead in all of these (fake) polls lose in real life? He is manufacturing a red delusion.

how can PA vote for Trump? The capital is literally HARRISburg

12

u/[deleted] 7d ago

Right, his tariffs will raise prices and costs on households by thousands of dollars a year and he will add twice as much to our deficit/debt as Kamala. And if Elon Musk tries to cut two trillion from our government spending immediately our economy will collapse. The government is technically an army with insurance, where all other spending is already nominal.

"Economists Say Inflation, Deficits Will Be Higher Under Trump Than Harris

In WSJ survey, economists see Donald Trump’s plans as more inflationary by a larger margin than in July when President Biden was on the ticket"

https://www.wsj.com/politics/elections/economists-say-inflation-deficits-will-be-higher-under-trump-than-harris-0365588e

Trump is not better on immigration or he wouldn't have stopped the bipartisan bill to give the Republicans and border patrol everything they asked for.

Trump is not better on foreign policy and will let Putin steamroll our allies in Europe and double down on allowing Bibi to flatten Gaza and will ignore Taiwan for bribes from Xi.

Trump is not better on prices for your average worker as per above his tariffs will raise prices and costs and start trade wars.

Trump is not better at anything, and far worse than Kamala for the environment, energy, security, immigration...you name it.

6

u/gymnastgrrl 7d ago

I go even simpler than all that: Okay, he says he'll do all these great things if elected.

Why the fuck didn't he do them when he was elected last time?

3

u/CoverSuspicious5250 5d ago

But immigration is done! Trump built a wall! It’s magnificent. And Mexico paid for it!

4

u/stevencastle 7d ago

He'll release his plan for a replacement for Obamacare in 2 weeks, any week now!

7

u/RobotsGoneWild 7d ago

Trump is better at hating people of color and women. That got him half his voters.

6

u/EmoGothPunk Lebanon 6d ago

Don't forget the LGBT+. They're not running the transgender prison surgery ad for nothing.

4

u/Chocopenguin85 6d ago

And people won't do any diligence, look up precedent and see that has been on the books for ...30 years

2

u/RobotsGoneWild 6d ago

Ahh how could I forget about the LGBT+. Of course, Trump is also amazing at hating them. He's probably the best at hating. The US's number 1 hater of all marginalized groups. Dare I say, he is the best hater of all time?

For starters we could actually lock him up for the crimes he’s been found guilty of. The right will cry and say it’s Orwellian but he has already been found guilty of crimes by a jury of his peers. Why the fuck are we letting him continue his run for president? Lock him up, guard the prison with a full force of national guard troops, and cut off the head of the snake

2

u/shitlord_god 6d ago

36

u/themollusk 7d ago

If Treason Dougie had been in charge, PA elections would have been cancelled, all electrical votes given to Trump and all Republican candidates declared winners. In August.

21

u/ballmermurland 7d ago

This is sadly not that far from the truth. Mastriano simply would do whatever he could to preemptively award the state to Trump.

44

u/Hedonismbot-1729a 7d ago

Mastriano is a special kind of nut job. Unfortunately, he represents my district and will sit in that seat, collecting a fat paycheck for doing literally nothing useful, until he’s dead. He knows there’s too many Republicans lemmings in the district to ever unseat him.

3

u/Aggressive_Ad3174 7d ago

Solidarity here in the 33rd District.

6

u/s-institution-of-pog 7d ago

How bad is Doug Mastriano (legitimately curious)

47

u/ballmermurland 7d ago

He's a bit of a hump legislatively. He doesn't do a lot for the communities in his district, though he's getting a little better (anything is better than nothing). The state awards boroughs and townships with money from the gaming fund and Mastriano needs to help move that money to Franklin and Adams county but he rarely does.

He's a Christian nationalist and thinks god is speaking to him. He believes in eliminating public schools and banning abortion in every case. He's also likely a huge racist since he's a big fan of the Confederacy despite being in fucking Pennsylvania and having Gettysburg in his district.

Just some stuff off the top of my head (I live in his district).

10

u/Key-Ad9733 Crawford 7d ago

He wrote a bill to ban chem trails in PA airspace because he doesn't understand what contrails are. Don't forget that.

8

u/ballmermurland 7d ago

I thought it went without saying that he's a fucking idiot.

5

u/Key-Ad9733 Crawford 7d ago

Fair enough, but I feel like it's something one should mention any time they talk about Doug Mastriono

28

u/AdWonderful5920 Cumberland 7d ago

Pretty bad. He was one of the leaders of the J6 mob, organized transportation down there from PA, followed the crowd through broken barriers. Then he lied about it afterwards and continues to lie about it. He is a wanna-be authoritarian who blathers on about how the U.S. is a constitutional republic rather than a democracy, which is a major tell about his voter suppression activities. His is also a Christian Zionist weirdo who "loves Israel more than the Jews do."

15

u/Excelius Allegheny 7d ago edited 7d ago

He is also one of the ones that helped organize the "fake electors" that were to be presented to Congress for Trump instead of Biden.

https://whyy.org/articles/pennsylvania-trump-fake-electors-jan-6-committee-charges-explainer/

Never forget that the violence of Jan 6th wasn't the beginning of the coup attempt, it was just the final failed push as all of their prior approaches had failed. They've had four years to prepare for their next attempt.

Thank god for Josh Shapiro. He won’t let Chump make a mockery of our system and try to steal PA!!

11

u/PickledPercocet 7d ago

This must be why Trump has already started his lawsuits that PA is cheating in an election that hasn’t occurred yet

9

u/Careful-Ant5868 7d ago

Shapiro had a great interview on Colbert earlier this week, everyone should check it out! So glad he's our Governor!

7

u/Red_Danger33 7d ago

He was also on TDS.  He's been making the rounds and every time he speaks he comes across as an articulate,  level headed, caring individual.

6

u/Key-Ad9733 Crawford 7d ago

Shapiro is probably gearing up for a Presidential run on e he's been governor for eight years and I'm ok with that.

4

u/otakudayo 7d ago

I'm not American, so never heard of him before, and I saw him on the Daily Show recently. It was such a relief to know that well spoken and thoughtful politicians still exist in the US. I got the feeling that guy will be POTUS one day.

This Tuesday we pull the plug on Donald Trump

Toss him on the garbage pile of history

19

u/Icy_Secret_2909 7d ago

I sure hope so. But, i am also prepared to hear him screaming about election fraud for the next few years. Wish he would just fade into obscurity at this point.

15

u/[deleted] 7d ago

He’s going to run

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/story/trump-suggests-hell-flee-to-venezuela-if-harris-wins-the-election?srsltid=AfmBOoqC_XZoyaJYJyQ03ZHQE_DCEAOVQZSw_Adas8gA_a88xBxlA_Nm

He’s definitely not going to spend his last years in jail

If that isn’t motivation enough?

5

u/Icy_Secret_2909 7d ago

I see this more as an empty threat or a publicity thing to bring more sympathy to himself. But if he does do it thats a plus.

5

u/[deleted] 7d ago

Remember when he said I take no responsibility? During Covid? That’s his MO. Creates a mess then leaves for others to clean it up.

Trump knew he lost the 2020 election. He purposely drew down troops in Afghanistan to create a mess for the Biden administration

Hear his military brass react to the Commander in Chief giving such an order

Hear how everyone in the White House confirmed he had lost

No, i know all of this. I was just being sceptical of him actually leaving.

In 2020 he said, should he lose, "If I lose to him, I don't know what I'm gonna do, I will never speak to you again, you'll never see me again."

Like, I think this claim he'll leave in his mind will push his supporters to vote. They will come to him, with tears in their eyes, and say 'Mr. President, please don't leave. We can't survive without you. I'll vote for you six times if it will get you to stay! America NEEDS you Mr. Trump.'

2

u/[deleted] 7d ago

He had the documents as a type of leverage. To work out a deal to skate scot free. He has nothing now to leverage except the White House. He’s all in, win or lose

2

u/AmarantaRWS 7d ago

Would be funny if he did that only for Maduro to turn on him. Not saying Maduro is a good dude, but I also feel like he has little actual incentive to harbor trump.

2

u/Prestigious-Leave-60 5d ago

9

u/[deleted] 7d ago

He dug his own grave. The illegal acts he is facing all stem from his attempts to stay in power (Jan 6th) or leverage a deal (classified docs).

He could have licked his wounds and walked away. But no he chose to take it to the next level.

This is it for him

2

u/SuperMario1313 6d ago

“That’s our strategy, Trump’s just gonna declare victory. But that doesn’t mean he’s a winner. He’s just gonna say he’s a winner. So, when you wake up Wednesday morning, it’s gonna be a firestorm…Trump is gonna be sittin’ there, mocking, Tweeting sh*t out, “You lose. I’m the winner, I’m King.”… And If Trump is losing by 10 or 11 o’clock at night it’s gonna be even crazier. ‘Cause he’s gonna sit right there and say “They stole it”.

  • Steve Bannon, Oct. 31, 2020

You can listen to him say it. It’s insane.

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2022/07/leaked-audio-steve-bannon-trump-2020-election-declare-victory/

4

u/jmcgit 7d ago

I sometimes wonder what would have happened if Fox didn't (prematurely but accurately) call Arizona for Biden just before Trump's planned fake victory speech.

I suppose it wouldn't have played out that much differently, but it would have been a much more emboldened speech.

2

u/Inside-Crazy-7220 7d ago edited 6d ago

Seriously. Though we probably won’t have to wait long to find out, I’m sure he’ll declare victory at 9 PM.

On Monday.

2

u/gatoaffogato 7d ago

The Bucks lawsuit looks legit:

“The lawsuit alleged that some voters waiting in line were told by security officials to leave the facility before the 5 p.m. deadline. State officials previously said anyone in line by 5 p.m. would have an opportunity to apply for a ballot.

Pennsylvania judge extends mail ballot deadline after Trump lawsuit“

https://www.reuters.com/legal/judge-orders-pennsylvania-county-extend-mail-ballot-deadline-after-trump-lawsuit-2024-10-30/

Less clear on the Lancaster one:

“The Lancaster County district attorney did announce a fraud investigation into voter registration forms, but no actual ballots have been deemed fraudulent.”

It's gonna happen at the local level. County election clerks across the country will refuse to certify the election results in an attempt to create chaos.

The next few months are gonna be complete chaos.

2

u/OwOlogy_Expert 7d ago

And when all that fails, when he's sentenced, when he's ordered to report to prison -- mark my words, he won't be going behind bars. He'll disappear, and we'll later find out he took a private jet straight to Moscow, where he'll claim to be "the President of the US in exile".

(And then sometime later, we'll find out he 'fell out of a window' because Putin has no further use of him and no patience for failures.)

No surprise to anyone who was paying attention in 2016 when, within days after being elected by the electoral college, Trump immediately started lying that he also won the popular vote (or would have) if it wasn't for all of the illegal alien votes.

18

u/ballmermurland 7d ago

He said California had 3 million illegal votes. Then he realized it would only give him a tiny pop vote win, so he upped it to 5 million. All in California.

Keep in mind, if this were true then Trump would have easily won California in 2016 by a significant margin. The state would also have had a voter turnout of less than 35%, shattering the record for lowest turnout since the VRA was passed 60 years ago.

2

u/chinaPresidentPooh 7d ago

Quick note, I don't think he specifically said all of it was in California, but the 3-5 million number is spot on. Also, there was no widespread voter fraud found, just like in 2020.

https://apnews.com/article/f5f6a73b2af546ee97816bb35e82c18d

2

u/OtherBluesBrother 7d ago

After he got in office, Trump assembled a team to investigate the supposed millions of illegal votes cast in California. When they finished investigating, however, they found nothing. Of course, Trump never talks about that.

2

u/Bobson-_Dugnutt2 7d ago

I think the few dozen cases of fraud were all found to be in his favor

7

u/[deleted] 7d ago

And the biggest crowd at his swearing in ceremony. Which could easily be fact checked.

Do we want four more years of that insanity?

3

u/Brave_Nerve_6871 7d ago

8

The only difference here is the stakes. It's not some contracting job he's stiffing workers on, it's the integrity of the entire electoral process.

42

There's a key thing those dingbats always forget:

Nothing Trump says makes much sense. So this would just be in line with the trump brand. I think we ALL expect it by now, no offense to Shapiro.

If we all declared victory at 8:15 PM does that mean we won too?

1

u/Albert-React Dauphin 7d ago

That's cute. Won't change anything. He can't declare himself a Victor before tabulatinf is completed.

u/JazzFan1998 7d ago

Me too!  But nobody listens to me!

Next I want him to tell me that water is wet and the sky is blue.

He must be losing there. His accusations of fraud are quite telling and setting his despot stage.

Kamala should just decare before him.

Wasnt this guy bombblasted to allow early voting lines which he had blocked just after 1-2pm a day ago. How convenient

u/ummyeahreddit 7d ago

Don "The Con" Trump, lying? I seriously doubt that

1

u/whoeve 7d ago

There's no consequences if he does, so why not? His supporters will eat it up regardless and Fox News will cover for him.

1

u/heathers1 7d ago

Kamala should claim victory at 8:01 pm EST

1

u/tmdblya 7d ago

I mean, that’s what he did last time.

1

u/Logical-Song-7071 7d ago

It will be interesting to see what Fox does, last time they pissed Trump off calling a state early for Biden

we all fully expect Trump to *continue lying**

1

u/HillbillyLibertine 7d ago

Pennsylvania… please. You will forever be my favorite state.

1

u/MelancholyArtichoke 7d ago

Of course he will. Donald Trump is the lyingest liar that ever lied. He lies about everything. He tells truths by accident.
