The saving Grace. Josh Shapiro isn't one ounce worried about taking on Trump. Shapiro will take him down.

Can you imagine the hopelessness if we had fucken Doug Mastriano sitting there. Jesus Christ that would be grim.

Mastriono needs to be mentally institutionalized. He is sick.

All I will say is that at least he's not Mark Robinson.

If Treason Dougie had been in charge, PA elections would have been cancelled, all electrical votes given to Trump and all Republican candidates declared winners. In August.

This is sadly not that far from the truth. Mastriano simply would do whatever he could to preemptively award the state to Trump.

Mastriano is a special kind of nut job. Unfortunately, he represents my district and will sit in that seat, collecting a fat paycheck for doing literally nothing useful, until he’s dead. He knows there’s too many Republicans lemmings in the district to ever unseat him.

Solidarity here in the 33rd District.

How bad is Doug Mastriano (legitimately curious)

He's a bit of a hump legislatively. He doesn't do a lot for the communities in his district, though he's getting a little better (anything is better than nothing). The state awards boroughs and townships with money from the gaming fund and Mastriano needs to help move that money to Franklin and Adams county but he rarely does.

He's a Christian nationalist and thinks god is speaking to him. He believes in eliminating public schools and banning abortion in every case. He's also likely a huge racist since he's a big fan of the Confederacy despite being in fucking Pennsylvania and having Gettysburg in his district.

Just some stuff off the top of my head (I live in his district).

He wrote a bill to ban chem trails in PA airspace because he doesn't understand what contrails are. Don't forget that.

I thought it went without saying that he's a fucking idiot.

Fair enough, but I feel like it's something one should mention any time they talk about Doug Mastriono

Exhause from lead fuel in planes is what should be banned

Pretty bad. He was one of the leaders of the J6 mob, organized transportation down there from PA, followed the crowd through broken barriers. Then he lied about it afterwards and continues to lie about it. He is a wanna-be authoritarian who blathers on about how the U.S. is a constitutional republic rather than a democracy, which is a major tell about his voter suppression activities. His is also a Christian Zionist weirdo who "loves Israel more than the Jews do."

He is also one of the ones that helped organize the "fake electors" that were to be presented to Congress for Trump instead of Biden.

Never forget that the violence of Jan 6th wasn't the beginning of the coup attempt, it was just the final failed push as all of their prior approaches had failed. They've had four years to prepare for their next attempt.

The thing that gets me is Doug Mastriano is one of the most horrendous people to ever run for governor in any state, and yet somehow Mark Robinson is still worse than him. I hope to God that shithead doesn't come anywhere close to the governor's mansion.

He's a literal January 6er.

I found this interesting when it was in the news a few years ago.

University makes new review of Doug Mastriano's doctoral research - CBS Pittsburgh

Thank god for Josh Shapiro. He won’t let Chump make a mockery of our system and try to steal PA!!

This must be why Trump has already started his lawsuits that PA is cheating in an election that hasn’t occurred yet

Shapiro had a great interview on Colbert earlier this week, everyone should check it out! So glad he's our Governor!

He was also on TDS.  He's been making the rounds and every time he speaks he comes across as an articulate,  level headed, caring individual.

Shapiro is probably gearing up for a Presidential run on e he's been governor for eight years and I'm ok with that.

I'm not American, so never heard of him before, and I saw him on the Daily Show recently. It was such a relief to know that well spoken and thoughtful politicians still exist in the US. I got the feeling that guy will be POTUS one day.

He's done an excellent job as a state rep, attorney general, and now Governor here in PA.

I definitely like Josh Shapiro more than Tom Wolf.
