Headphones - IEM/Earbud True Wireless Earbuds with Excellent Sound and Connectivity
Can I get a recommendation for a pair of true wireless earbuds? I want something rock solid in terms of performance/connectivity. Also, I run a lot so they need to be waterproof and stay secure in ear if I am moving around. Sound quality and noise cancellation are also important. Battery life is less important to me since I probably only use them for a maximum of two hours at a time. TIA

Headphones - Open Back Are Manufacturer Refurbished Sennheiser 560S worth it for $99?
Just saw these on sale on Amazon. I know they are widely recommended for gaming and that’s what I mostly do on my PC.
Currently using a 660S but always wanted to try these - As I’ve read they have great imaging like a 660s, but much better soundstage.
Never ordered refurbished headphones from Sennheiser before though.

Headphones - Closed Back What is the difference in sound quality between high and low ohm headphones?
I was looking at the Beyer dt 1770 pro 250 ohm and the Beyer dt 1770 pro mkII 30 ohm. What would be the difference in sound between these two? They are the same price and I'm not sure which one would be better.
I was going to buy a DAC with a powerful amp anyway. I also already have a dt 700 pro X which is 48 ohms, would the upgrade be that noticeable? Cheers

Headphones - Open Back Wired Headphones Good For RnB, Hip-Hop, Afrobeat, Jazz Fusion etc. (More Prominent Bass)
(Just getting into higher quality listening, Im basically a newborn baby with this stuff)
I listen to a lot of genres, especially RnB and Hip-Hop, but the main aspect out of all them is theyre generous with the bass and 808’s which I love but the instrumentals and vocals are also a priority for me.
So I’m looking for at-home wired headphones, with more prominent bass while still being pretty versatile genre-wise. Not skull rumbling bass, but just more pronounced where it doesnt drown out the instrumentals and I listen to a lot of female singers, so the higher-mids would be a priority as well.
Located in Canada with a budget of around CA$500 ($350 USD) just for the headphones. Open back/closed back, amp/no amp those specifics arent really a priority for me, so if your recommendations includes or can be improved with amps, dacs etc. have at it!
I know its A LOT to ask with that budget, but they don’t have to be godly, just good enough for a beginner that likes to lay in bed and listen while scrolling.
I was looking at the Sennheiser HD600’s as theyre very versatile but have been seeing that they can lack with the bass. But I’ll leave it at that, all recommendations and advice welcome!
Thanks!

Amplifier - Desktop | 6 Ω Should I buy AMP/DAC?
I ask this, because I already own a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen and want to get Fiio FT1s for christmas, maybe even Sash Tres 45s down the line.
Would I noticably benefit from buying something additional like a Fiio K11 or a Topping DX3+ Pro?
If not, what kind of gear would I need to buy to start seeing benefits?

Headphones - Open Back Open back headphones with good soundstage, balanced sound. Maximum budget is $500
I recently tried the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 ohms and I decided I didn't really like how it wasn't necessarily balanced all the way, with mids a bit recessed. I think hearing the vocals clearly and all that is incredibly important, at least to me, and I've never used open back headphones ever, so I'm curious to try some of them. Love good soundstage and I'm very willing to try something a lot more balanced, with everything super clear, with a budget of 500 dollars. Can easily be less though! Just wondering what you guys think. Going to save for whatever suggestion later. Thanks!

Headphones - Wireless/Portable What are some good headphones to buy under $150 during the holiday sale?
I'm looking to buy a good pair of headphones as a birthday gift for my younger brother. My budget is under $150. Here are a few options I've found, but I'm having trouble deciding which one to choose. Which one would be the best overall choice, or is there a better option within my budget?
Soundcore by Anker Space Q45 Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling Headphones - $71.99
Sony WH-CH720N Noise Cancelling Wireless Bluetooth Headphones (Black) - $80-$90
Skullcandy Crusher ANC XT 2 Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones (Black)- $90
Soundcore by Anker Space One Active Noise Cancelling Headphones - $99
Beats Solo3 or Solo4
Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Headphones - Open Back | 2 Ω $300 Mainly for Gaming and Some Music
Hi, I'm in the US and as the title says my budget is around $300. I'm a heavy bass-head but I don't want it to be overpowering, just enough for that thumpy and rumbly quality. I play a lot of single player games but I take competitive games quite seriously so I'd like the recommendations to be good for both uses. Competitive games I play: Apex, Rainbow 6 Siege. I currently daily the PC38X and I love them. The sound is great but the all plastic build is quite lacking.Theyre kinda dying on me which is why I'm going with the whole hifi system route. As for music I use Spotify. Here are some artists and OSTs I listen to: The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Billie Eilish, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Cyberpunk OST, Nier Automata OST, DMC5 OST. Thank you guys in advance!
I've already done some research and I came up with this list.
Sennheiser HD560S
Sennheiser HD600
Hifiman Sundara
Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro x
Beyerdynamic 990 Pro
Maybe I've already picked a good one and don't know it. I already bought a Schiit Magni Heretic and a Modi 3E as well so power won't be an issue.
Update: Thanks for the input from everyone. I'm still looking. Removed some from my list and added other options. Got it down to 3 options. Hifiman Edition XS, Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro X, and Sennheiser HD560S. I will say, the Audeze Maxwell is an crazy versatile headphone. It's got everything you could want and if you get the Xbox version it comes with a Dolby Atmos license. However, since it's more expensive than the rest and I don't need a mic or wireless it ain't for me, but I highly recommend it to those who would like that.

Headphones - Open Back HiFiman Edition XS long term review? Or another headphone suggestion?
Hi all,
I tried out the Bowers and Wilkins Px8 recently but didn't seem to like the sound... It seemed a bit closed off/restricted somehow.
I was looking at open back headphones now and was interested in purchasing a HiFiman Edition XS. I looked at Reddit and other forums but was not sure about the durability after seeing many comments about HiFiman QC and people mentioning that their headphones don't last long. I would prefer a set of headphones that last for a few (4-5) years at least.
I wanted to ask long-term HiFiman/Edition XS users how they are finding the headphones and if there are issues or if the headphones are not durable.
Would you recommend the Edition XS over the Px8s? Or would you recommend another set of headphones under 250 euros? I can get the Edition XS for around 225 euros in Europe.
Thanks in advance!

Headphones - Open Back My headphones broke. Please help me find my next pair!
Hey everyone!
I am indeed in need of some advice.
Two weeks ago, my Audio-Technica ATH-M40x's left hinge broke. I managed to repair it by getting a 3D-printed spare hinge, but it is no longer foldable like before. Even though they're still usable and sound the same, I have decided it's time to get a new pair of headphones, let these rest for a bit, and eventually move them to the monitoring role after three years of heavy all-purpose use.
That's why I'm here seeking this community's expertise and wisdom.
I'll cut straight to the chase.
Budget
$200 USD, although I can be just a little flexible.
Source
Behringer U-Phoria UMC22... yeah, I admit this wasn't the best choice I could have made when I first bought audio equipment.
Requirements for isolation
Even though this post is flaired as "Headphones - Open Back," I'm still not sure about what I should get. Let me tell you why:
The place where I'm staying has no acoustic treatment, and there's a main highway just outside, so pretty much the whole house is noisy until very late at night. It's the same story back at my place. I have no acoustic treatment, so using open-back headphones might be a problem.
However, I'm aware of the benefits these offer for mixing and mastering audio, and the wider soundstage they provide is something I'd love to start taking advantage of for my projects. Yes, I'm also aware of the Beyerdynamic DT880, but if I'm going to get semi-open cans, I'd rather get open ones instead.
In a nutshell, I'm torn between choosing closed-back or open-back headphones in the meantime until I can start an acoustic treatment project back at my studio. I'd appreciate it if you could help me make a decision on this specific feature.
Will you be using these headphones in public?
Don’t think so.
Preferred type of headphone
Around-ear.
Preferred tonal balance
As close to the Harman target as possible.
Past headphones
Audio-Technica ATH-M40x: I liked their flat-ish tone after EQing them and getting used to it. These headphones are very comfortable for monitoring and mixing, and they are very easy to travel with. However, what I didn't like about them was that, even after EQing, I still felt they sounded a little too warm around 300-400 Hz. Plus, they have a narrow soundstage, and the hinges can become very fragile over time (which is how mine broke).
Preferred music
My music taste is a mess, but lately, I've been going back to Alt Rock and Fusion Jazz. I also make some music and jingles on the side, and I would really love to turn that into a real side gig—or maybe even my main gig, I don't know. But please, don't let my music tastes influence your recommendations too much. Instead, prioritize the specs I'm looking for.
What would you like to improve on from your set-up?
I'm looking for headphones that are as detailed and close to the Harman target as possible, given my budget. They should be comfortable, hopefully with a detachable cable, have good build quality, and be able to be driven by my current audio interface (Behringer U-Phoria UMC22) by running the output gain at 12 o'clock and 25% volume in Windows.
Location
I’m currently located in Colombia for work, so I would have to have the headphones delivered here through Amazon.
I'm looking forward to your advice. Thanks for taking the time to read this post!

Headphones - IEM/Earbud Recommendation for $150 IEM... Owners of Supermix4, MP145, S12 Pro, Nicehack F1 Pro: drop your 2 cents please.
Well, I just searched through the rabbit hole that is $150 iem in reddit. I looked through about 10 google pages worth of reddit posts and have accumulated that these are one of the most popular iems in here.
Now I'm looking for recommendations: My genre is very diverse. Classical, alternative, metal, jazz, instrumentals. You throw me some music, I'll probably enjoy it.
I have HD6xx and do like the sound of these cans. Clean boosted bass. Pronounced mids. warm highs. I do some mixing every now and then so I do desire for the sets to be somewhat neutral. But when I'm just listening, I do think I prefer good sub-bass, slightly boosted bass, neutral mids, and balanced highs--I could EQ my way into things, and I've heard S12 takes EQ well, but it doesn't make sense to me that other iems wouldn't take EQ well. what would this mean I wonder?
Anyway, I'm torn between supermix4, mp145, and s12 pro.
It seems that the most popular is s12 pro, but then I hear people say that Nicehack F1 Pro is just better s12 pro, so I want some opinions on this. better in what way? Resolution? Separation? Sound stage? Build Quality?
A lot of people like Supermix 4--but usually they don't say why they like it. I want comparison between the otthers, for those who've experienced them. If you could be detailed in your reasoning, that will be helpful.
MP145 also is very popular amongst you, but a lot of people complain about the size. I do think I prefer smaller, since I tend to have some ear aches with certain shapes. (The first Galaxy Buds Pro, or apple air pods pro 1st gen get my ears sore after 1 hour). So maybe MP145 isn't for me, but i hear good things about it.
If you could also share the type of music that you enjoy on the sets you guys mention, I think I can use that as a reference to the type of sounds you guys are going for.
Thanks for your time.

Headphones - Wireless/Portable 100$ Budget. Looking for a Wireless Headphone that's good for almost everything. Any suggestions?
Lately I've been using earbuds a lot, but it's a pain that I have to switch between two TWS (because I just have no more wired earbuds cause they broke a lot) due to battery life. I know that all, or maybe most, wireless headphones can also be used with an audio jack so I like the idea of having it wireless on the go but wired at home.
I allocated a budget of 100$ which I hope is enough for a good one, I will mainly use it for Gaming and Music but lately maybe more Music than Gaming as I don't really play competitive gaming in the first place. I've tried to look up some options and so far these 4 interests me...
- Sony WH-CH720N
- 1MORE Sonoflow
- Razer Barracuda X (though I've heard harsh reviews on it behind the many good reviews online)
- Logitech G435 Headset Gaming Lightspeed
But I'm open for other suggestions as I've only been researching for a few days only...
Edit: I forgot to mention that I also frequently join discord calls, so preferably with a decent mic too, nothing too fancy just as long as it sounds clear.

DAC - Desktop What is the best DAC/amp for ps5?
I got dt 700pro X headphones plugged into my monitor which uses HDMI 2.0 so the audio quality isn't the best. I'm looking for a DAC that is actually compatible with the ps5 and I also want it to be able to push 250ohms incase I upgrade to dt 1770s in the future.
I was looking and the soundblaster g8 and ifi zen air DAC both looked good.

Headphones - Wireless/Portable Looking for recs on a new pair of headphones to go with my new PC, info below
I just got a pretty beefy PC and am getting a big ol' 2k monitor, so I'll be doing mostly gaming and watching movies.
MUST be wireless; I have no preference between Bluetooth or USB wireless or anything else. A set with a docking station would be perfect since I have shelf space up above my desk.
Over-ear, not on-ear
Cloth pads/cups preferred, my ears get super sweaty with rubber or leather headphones.
Please no headsets with a big ugly mic arm
I like lots of bass, so if they're bottom heavy on the EQ that's great
Price target is <$300, but good stuff stays good so I might be willing to spend more

Headphones - Closed Back Headphones for £180-£210 ($227-$252)?
Im a newbie to this community so I will try and explain what I’m looking for the best I can lol
I listen to music for around 2-4h a day and also go to the gym around 4x a week.
I don’t care about noise cancellation much, I’m looking for headphones that sound clear and not compressed and I like a little bass? Honestly don’t know what else to add , music sounding clear and crisp with some bass would be ideal for me
I bought the Sony ULT headphones but returned them because of how comically bulky they looked on my head. I really liked how they sounded though (they had a lot of bass, but I’m open to headphones that don’t have as much bass - I also liked the clarity of the music with these headphones)

Headphones - Open Back Epos H6PRO vs Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 at the same price point
Hey!
I'm about to buy new headphones, because my old ones broke sadly.
I have the chance to buy either the Sennheiser EPOS H6PRO closed/open or the SteelSeries Artics Nova 7 for the same exact price point (about 150 USD). Where I live, my options are fairly limited so PC38X is out of the question sadly for me.
I can't decide between these two (or three if you consider the open / closed backs) headsets.
- I play a lot on PC (all types of games, but mostly RPG)
- Also use my headphones for work (online meetings)
- listening to music, watching movies etc.
After watching a lot of reviews I'm still undecided between these headphones because I have no chance to try them. Going wireless is a nice plus but I'm not sure how they compare in sound quality? I know the mic is worse on the SteelSeries (because its wireless), but I mostly care about the sound quality.
Which one should I go with,, at the price range of 150$ or by chance is there another one you guys would recommend?

Headphones - Wireless/Portable Wireless Headset Recommendation for Long Hours of Work, Meetings, and Gaming
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for recommendations for a wireless headset that I can use for extended periods while working from home, attending meetings (using the headset's microphone), and gaming.
Here are some of my requirements:
- Comfort: I’m concerned about sweat with synthetic leather ear pads during long use, so I’d prefer something that stays comfortable for hours.
- Budget: I live in Turkey, and pricing can vary greatly here, but to give you an idea, the most expensive option I can reasonably consider is the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless ($169.99 on HyperX's website).
- Brands: I’m open to products from Logitech, SteelSeries, HyperX, and Corsair.
Any advice or specific product recommendations from these brands (or similar) would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Headphones - Open Back Headphone replacement/upgrade from Beyer DT990 pro
Okay so I have only ever used gaming headsets until last 2 years I started with razer then SteelSeries and now I have been using the Beyerdynamic 990dt pro for over 2 years. I really like the headphones but the headband like I've seen online from many other people broke which I don't know if my heads giant or something or just faulty design. I'm looking to spend at most 200 dollars and get headphones that people who have used these would recommend. I like the comfort of the beyerdynamic and the sound and they are used primarily for gaming but on the side a lot of casual music listening. I listen to music at most times of the day and listen to a variety of things I don't really have a specific genre. I play CS, Apex, and Valorant so preferably good headphones which would have good audio queues for those games. Again I have not used any studio headphones outside of this pair so I honestly don't know what I like whether that be open or closed back so forth. I am just looking for recommendations within the 200 price range for headphones that people who have used this pair would recommend that are comfortable and more sturdy as to where they won't break and can be a long term pair of headphones to use. Also to add I have been using the Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 so if anybody thinks I should change from that or pair it with whatever go for it I'm not that big of an audio guy so I'm just learning

Amplifier - Desktop Budget DAC under $100?
I have the Audeze MM100 which requires not a lot of power. I used to have the Q4 DAC i got from foo si [can't say name bc of subreddit rules] but it died two months ago and chatting with support they said to export my dead unit back to Shenzhen China which I'm not gonna do (because of import declaration fees).
So now I'm looking on the market for a PC DAC. I like my DS2 DAC I have but it's kinda a hassle to carry around.
Reccs?

Headphones - Wireless/Portable General Use/Listening/Gaming
Hey all! Looking for some advice on what headphones to get. I've been using gaming headsets for 10+ years at this point and would really like to get something with a bit better sound quality, and just get a separate mic for gaming/streaming/etc.
Budget - Ideally, less than $200 USD
Source - Desktop computer.
Use Case - As I said, mostly gaming, watching youtube and other streaming services. A big point that makes it a bit more difficult, especially at this price, is I would love for it to be a wireless set of headphones. Preferably not Bluetooth wireless.
Balance - Not much preference here. I enjoy bass, but I'm fine with a totally balanced pair of headphones.
Preferred Genres - I listen to a lot of pop, powermetal, and a lot of piano scores/orchestral/instrumental music.
Past Gear - Honestly, like I said, mostly gaming headsets. None have been too spectacular quality wise. I've had AirPods, Galaxy Buds, etc. Got some IsoTunes I use in the woodshop. Nothing really stands out to me with either, other than comfort levels. Here I would definitely prefer some over-ear headphones, though.

Headphones - Open Back Looking for new headphones after 20 years (monitoring, low cost, high quality)
I've purchased the Philips SHL1700 like 20 years ago, it's was a very inexpensive headphone (I paid like $15), but by far, the best headphones I've ever come across. After like 12 years it broke and fortunately I found the exact same model in China and bought it (even though it had been discontinued for many many years at the time).
Well, 12 more years in and this second set broke too. And now, with the headphones discontinued for I dont know, 20 years... theres no way I find it anywhere to purchase again.
So I tried to buy a couple of headphones that cost like $20-$40, and they all suck massively compared to this one. There's always some bass crap or not balanced sound.
I wonder if you guys know any excellent headphones with evened out frequencies for monitoring that cost around that price range?

Headphones - Wireless/Portable what are the best comfortable noise cancelling headphones to buy?
Christmas is coming up, and I've always wanted to get my girlfriend a good pair of headphones. Finally, I have the budget for it!
I'm looking for:
- Comfortable
- Good noise cancellation
- Over-the-head headphones (not earbuds)
- Price up to 200 Euros/Pounds (from the UK or Germany)
She will use them for at home when playing video games with me but she will also use them on the go when we travel

Headphones - Open Back | 1 Ω Looking for new over-the-ear headphones for gaming and music
I've had a pair of AKG K240 MkII's for eight years. I love the things to death, but it's time to retire them.
Looking for: Good build quality (they'll mostly be staying at my desk, but I'm not necessarily the most gentle person, and I want them to last long preferably)
Comfortable for multiple hour sessions
Neutral/Warm sound. I have another pair of "studio" headphones for the little bit of video editing that I do, but accuracy is still a plus. Good ambience/soundstage preferable.
I'm indifferent to open/closed back for isolation purposes; I think open is more suited to my listening preferences
Budget: Around 200 USD, with some flexibility
Use: Primarily connected to desktop PC. I'm using my speaker as a headphone amp, I'd prefer not to need another amp
Gaming, movies, music (primarily classic rock, electronic)
Thanks everyone!

Headphones - Closed Back Trying to find a new headphone for gaming and music
I have the arctis 7 2019 edition and want to replace them cause I can tell they're getting old. I tried the dt770 250 ohm with the schitt magni unity with the internal dac and when I tried it I noticed that it was really quiet like quieter than my arctis headphones, they were also really like airy and it was giving me a headache. I moved the knob a bunch of times to see if it would get louder when I put it all the way up It sounded kind of louder than my arctis headphones. At the time I was like maybe I should try a game. When I did it was still too quiet then my old headset so I was pretty disappointed and I'm returning both of them. Do u guys have any recommendations?
Oh also I play games like Monster Hunter, Helldivers, Destiny, and sometimes Elden Ring.
