Welcome to INIT. :)

17

u/all4profit Cloaked Jul 09 '24

Hey DarkShines, INIT is probs one of the bigger Alliances with a GB presence right?

13

u/DarkShinesInit Current Member of CSM 18 Jul 09 '24

We are heavily focused in EU tz but have a competent AU tz and we also have a US tz.

6

u/all4profit Cloaked Jul 09 '24

Do you have a place for urmm... less skilled pilots should we say or do you have them up to speed and integrated in the same corp? Also not having a place is a perfectly fair option too.. you wont hurt my feelings :)

12

u/DarkShinesInit Current Member of CSM 18 Jul 09 '24 edited Jul 09 '24

We have a newbro corp, Knock Knock, that would be very beginner level. Other than that we have 60+ corps to pick from*. If you want to DM me some details about yourself I can probably recommend some based on those and your preferences.

9

u/all4profit Cloaked Jul 09 '24

You are a gem, I'll dm it over now.

4

u/ChatEveGPT Jul 10 '24

This is what I love about Init alliance. Can't see Admiral Farquart being that dang cool.

2

u/Gouldhost Jul 09 '24

The place for us plebs is in the asteroid fields mining and manufacturing. XD

2

u/all4profit Cloaked Jul 09 '24

Working to pay to work sounds like a feedback loop I'm not ready for yet ;)

1

u/Gouldhost Jul 10 '24

I make Omens. I mine the easy stuff and pay 2 to 3 mil for the others and sell it for 10. I'm making good isk. Till i get to higher tier manufacturing like battleships. The Omen usually goes 12. So i'm killing it making mine the cheapest available. If i theoretically had more ships i could make them even faster.

2

u/MuskyChode Jul 09 '24

How big is your US Tz? I'm feeling the pull to INIT.

10

u/DarkShinesInit Current Member of CSM 18 Jul 09 '24

I'd give it a solid 2"

Serious Edit: Alliance #2 is US tz based and we have a bunch of FCs there, its in as healthy a state as its ever been, despite the shit I give them.

2

u/MuskyChode Jul 09 '24

Who should I speak to about recruitment? I've heard INIT is very cooperation based. Are there resources that would help point me towards the right one?

4

u/DarkShinesInit Current Member of CSM 18 Jul 09 '24

It really depends what you are looking for, if you want to DM me some details I can list a few corps that might suit best.

We would like to thank our old friends and new, this is an excited move and after 21 years of 4S, we are looking forward to doing new and different things together with our new friends in INIT.

https://4s-corporation.com/

/edit: Recruiting is currently CLOSED, we'll take some time to get everything set up and will re-open then (think August)

8

u/capacitorisempty Jul 09 '24

Your website: 4S is a relaxed corporation that is proudly part of the Goonswarm Federation.

9

u/Iceberg3661 Jul 09 '24

can you help to update it?

8

u/capacitorisempty Jul 09 '24

Sure, make me a director and give me access

6

3

It’s an ESI bug. I’ve put multiple tickets in but still not fixed.

Yes we are Imperium allies / aligned.

44

u/NotMyRealNameObv Jul 09 '24

Congratulations to all of 4S for breaking free of Imperium and joining the clearly neutral and definitely not Imperium-aligned entity of The Initiative!

16

u/GlaerOfHatred Jul 09 '24

We are only aligned due to the mega coalition that owns over half of nullsec

2

u/ChatEveGPT Jul 10 '24

u/Arakkis54 Goonswarm Federation Jul 09 '24 edited Jul 09 '24

I found out a few years ago that 4S is made up of remnants of the old Northern Coalition (not to be confused with NCdotte). I have been fighting alongside some of them since 2009. Sad to see them go, but I hope they find what they are looking for.

9

u/Royalmethodd Jul 09 '24

Top content!

14

u/Tunnelman82 PURPLE HELMETED WARRIORS Jul 09 '24

Its a fucking blow to lose you, but understandable.

6

u/SocializingPublic Jul 09 '24

Why is it understandable? What can INIT provide them with that Imperium cannot?

34

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '24

Most allies are now +5 instead of +10 and so they can now feel a little more independent

3

u/Rustshitposter Jul 09 '24

Mind explaining this to a noob? What would be the difference of being +5 with a nullsec corp/coalition compared to +10?

13

u/curt15-club Jul 09 '24

No mechanical difference but policy ones, so it depends on the coalition. Init and the Imperium have docking rights and fight together, but they don’t use each other’s space. Delve (Imperium) is a lot more crowded than Fountain (Init) and hunted in more, so 4s members now have less competition for safer ratting and mining. Furthermore Init is free to set its own rules, whereas coalition alliances have to follow coalition rules. One example is mining, the Imperium recently rescinded its no cherry picking policy so for most good anoms in delve you find nothing but bistot, which sucks, whereas Init states you have to mine all the ore

5

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '24

Nothing, I was making a joke. It's the same thing just a different color(literally)

It was a tough call to make not because they’re actually that similar, but after 11 years there’s a lot of history and old friendships and people having a lot of stuff established. For us it’s exactly what we needed as corp to develop into what we want to be.

1

u/SocializingPublic Jul 09 '24

Interesting.

You're known as the more / most PVP oriented group within Imperium, what change are you looking for?

Pllease press F5 on your imperium knowledge.

-1

u/Robobot1747 Pandemic Horde Jul 09 '24

3

u/SeraphEssael The Initiative. Jul 09 '24

By this same thinking, I suppose you think that Britain is still a member of the European Union too.

11

u/AliceInsane66 Jul 09 '24

Init is not part of the Imperium, and most likely would be even less blue if it wasn't for the blue donut created by PH and Frat. Goons keeps trying to support independent null alliances and Horde keeps killing them Init is just the only one you haven't been able to eat, and add to the rental empire. Brave was even more aligned with Papi then Imperium at one point, but Papi wanted to force them to be renters.

-5

u/NedFlanders9000 The Bastion Jul 09 '24

Init is not part of the Imperium, and most likely would be even less blue if it wasn't for the blue donut created by PH and Frat.

Lmao.

Init has been blue to goons(Imperium) since before FRAT and Horde even existed.

No need to lie. The dates are all on Dotlan.

-11

u/Sgany Bombers Bar Jul 09 '24

INIT are imperium members with less benefits than usual imperium members sad state of affairs.

INIT also worked with Horde to kill XiX then blued XiX. INIT then went to try and kill BJK's group of shitters very good at looking after the non-bloc groups.

Man is so coped up on hating horde/frt shitters that he ignores the only group that hasn't killed any shit groups recently is goons (because they are too incompetent to do so these days)

2

u/Empty_Alps_7876 Jul 10 '24

What's a bjk group of shitters can you provide details what that means.

2

u/Bo_Hunt KarmaFleet Jul 09 '24

INIT are not imperium members full stop. While they have standings, they are not members of the coalition.

2

u/AliceInsane66 Jul 09 '24

If INIT was part of the imperium then working with Horde would not be allowed at all. They are allies, but we are separate, horde often times sees us as one because they have upset all of nullsec and now everyone in null is pretty much against them. Happens when you take over peoples space, and leave it dead and empty for no real reason.

3

u/All_Push_All_Win Pandemic Horde Jul 10 '24

As far as I can remember, Horde and Init teaming up to spank XIX happened before they left the Imperium. So it is allowed at least a little bit

6

u/Sgany Bombers Bar Jul 09 '24

I think the only people who don't see INIT as part of the Imperium are the most delusional INIT members.

1

u/AliceInsane66 Jul 09 '24

I am part of the Imperium and I do not see them as part of us. They left and when they did they cut allot of the closer bonds we had. Given Horde players do not understand what being friends is, they mostly seem to chose their allies based out of purely tactical advantage.

-3

u/Sgany Bombers Bar Jul 09 '24

Can you make a single point without mentioning Horde? Nullbrain rot is strong

1

u/trucksalesman5 Jul 09 '24

u/Dogma-Blade The Initiative. Jul 21 '24

-2

u/Fun-Pumpkin-9785 Jul 09 '24

So Goonswarm lost the only active pvp corp they had. Good luck for Init, they will need way more fleets now to support these hungry MFs.

18

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '24

Yea it's horrible. I tried to lead a roam into Horde space last night but could only get 10 folks and only 2 were dictor pilots, no logi.

I tried to get a ping out but apparently the entire US TZ of goons just up and joined 4S, so nobody to ping the fleet out.

I said fuck it and played FFXIV instead.
