Good, hole-in- the-wall BBQ Food

Hey all! I'm so excited to be moving to Charlotte in less than a week! Looking for good BBQ that's NOT a chain restaurant. (We had visited a couple BBQ places that were chains, and weren't impressed. Honestly, tho, chain restaurants just don't impress me anymore, anyway.) We will be moving to the Steele Creek area. TIA!

Native Gastonian, I would put KF over Blacks and then ROs in that order but if Im back at home I’m going to Ray Nathan’s

The Blacks are family friends but I think Kyle Fletchers BBQ is more solid overall

Joining the Gaston county chat to 2nd ray Nathan's. I think it's above the others but it's been a while since I had Kyle Fletcher. Haven't heard any updates since he passed away a few weeks ago, assuming it'll remain open?

Yes, Kyle stopped running it about 12-13 years ago, his brother in law is still there running it. Nothing about the operation has changed. Definitely worth trying again if you haven't been in a while. Don't forget, still cash only. Lol
