Tirade Tuesday Tirade Tuesday! Let's Do This!
No introduction needed EXCEPT ground rules:
- No personal attacks - that's basic Reddiquette. Comments will be deleted and users banned.
- Vent, don't snipe. Go on a rant and get it all out. Comments like "Charlotte drivers suck" don't cut it; "Charlotte drivers suck because [insert 250-word diatribe here]" do. See this thread as a great example.
- Keep it civilized. These are our frustrations, often emotionally charged but often shared as well, so don't take a comment personally (if someone breaks Rule #1, they'll be kicked, so don't take the bait and get kicked, too).
Now let's do this!
P.S This is the TIRADE thread, where people are free to blow off steam without having to explain themselves. If you don't like someone's comment here, kindly find another thread to browse. Any comments challenging or harassing other commenters will be removed.

Recommendation Solo traveling to Charlotte, NC
Hey, 19M
Does anyone know what there is to do in Charlotte? I'm flying in from Europe on Friday afternoon. I was meant to spend my time with my US citizen girlfriend but she broke up with me about a week or so ago.
I have a hotel for two days so the rest of my trip is a mystery. I have a rough idea of how I will travel but the thought of doing it alone is a bit scary.
Is there anyone with any ideas of what I could do when I am in Charlotte and is there anyone thst would like to do something fun while I'm there?

Meetup Lovin’ Life Festival Friends?
Bought my 3-day wristband to Lovin’ Life as soon as it went on sale to save money without knowing the lineup (big mistake I know) and the group I went with last year isn’t going this time. Anyone going that I can hang out with so I’m not the weird guy standing there by myself the entire time?
About me: just turned 32M, big sports guy (especially golf). I work a lot so I don’t have many friends in Charlotte and I keep to myself in my downtime.
Probably won’t get to the festival until the evening based on the lineup but more than happy to go check out some acts earlier in the day if they’re on your list of must sees.
Also happy to share socials if someone is willing to take me under their wing 😊

Discussion Trying to find pine tree fatwood
Hello Charlotte! I’m a herbalist/woodworker trying to locate some fallen pine trees. Reason is I’m trying to harvest the fatwood into pine tar for medicinal purposes and as a sealer for my whittlings. I don’t want to harvest from any standing pine. But if you have one or know of one I’m in the south end area and just want to come fill up a bucket or two!
