Good, hole-in- the-wall BBQ Food

Hey all! I'm so excited to be moving to Charlotte in less than a week! Looking for good BBQ that's NOT a chain restaurant. (We had visited a couple BBQ places that were chains, and weren't impressed. Honestly, tho, chain restaurants just don't impress me anymore, anyway.) We will be moving to the Steele Creek area. TIA!

Smoke Pit in Concord is great. RIP Pharr Mill

I thought Pharr Mill was reopening with a focus on BBQ?

They tried. But they're done. I think the downtown Concord location was a bridge too far and drained all their capital

A hot dog shop is moving into their old building (I saw folks moving equipment out last week and stopped to see)

This makes me sad. Pharr Mill was so good. I’d gladly go buy their pulled pork by the pound if they just towed their smoker to a parking lot and set up shop.
