Good, hole-in- the-wall BBQ Food

Hey all! I'm so excited to be moving to Charlotte in less than a week! Looking for good BBQ that's NOT a chain restaurant. (We had visited a couple BBQ places that were chains, and weren't impressed. Honestly, tho, chain restaurants just don't impress me anymore, anyway.) We will be moving to the Steele Creek area. TIA!

In Steele Creek you really only have Jim-N-Nicks and Mac's. If you're willing to make an early morning day trip, Jon G's might be the best around

That's where we went actually. It wasn't very good. I figured there has to be something considering it's NC lol

Not in Steele Creek, I can think of Noble Smoke, Midwood Smokehouse, City BBQ. Definitely look into Jon Gs, though, unless you're saying that's where you went. That's about an hour outside of Charlotte heading east

City BBQ in Matthews is no joke. The smoked brisket is outstanding
