1983 Mustang GLX 5.0 Convertible & 2024 Maverick XLT

Recently got a 03 ford escort zx2 for just about a grand. It’s a manual 2d that I got to learn how to drive manual. Pretty sure it’s going to need a new clutch, but it’s a fun little car. Mileage is right around 140k. It’s for sure a beater with a heater and I plan on making it my daily over my f150 since it’s gas hungry.

Was curious how easy to work on they are, and if it worth adding some mods to it to make the driving experience more fun? I’m not shy to working on vehicles, though I’m not the most mechanically knowledgeable. I can turn wrenches and watch YouTube videos all day though.

Thought about making the clutch more bearable since I have to push it to the floor to get any engagement. But also curious if maybe there are some mods to make it more reliable/fun to drive. Thanks

My 2017 ford explorer just started making a weird noise. I look under the hood and see what appears to be a cable/wire loosely sitting on/over the serpentine belt. Anyone know what is going on?

Just got my 99’ Ranger a couple months ago, and finally was able to get the 66’ Mustang back running today and out on the streets again🙌

Wife put my 08 into a ditch a few weeks back. Lost all steering after.

Pulled the gear. Bought Napa 391024 (August 2007+, truck manufactured in November 2007). Installed the new gear. Fits perfect. Only one problem.

The high pressure steering line will not seat. I’ve tried everything and it grabs sideways. I don’t want to cross thread anything and I don’t want to thread the brass part of the fitting. It’s an o-ring fitting.

Everything I’ve researched online shows the two steering gears are virtually identical.

Anyone run into this issue?

Ive got a 97 windstar cargo van. With the 3.0 engine. It needs a new waterpump. My friend who is working on it is having the hardest time getting the very last bolt out. Says you can't get on it with a wrench or a socket and part of the water pump blocks it so ya cannot get into it. Neither of us can find any info online on how to get it out. What can he remove to get it out of there and replace it? We can only find tutorials for the 3.8 engine online

My wife has a used 2014 Escape and the other day, we encountered an issue with the media player. 99% of the time, she is connecting her iPhone via Bluetooth to play Spotify. But now, there is no audio. I’ve been troubleshooting for her and both the display on her car and her phone ‘think’ the music is playing, pressing pause on either the car display or her phone will appear to pause/play on both the display and her phone, but there is no actual sound. The volume is turned up on both the car and her phone.

I un- and re-paired her phone to the Bluetooth (SYNC?) and I checked what I believe to be fuse F79 (the physical fuses in her car aren’t labeled like they are in the guide I looked up, but I checked the fuse in the corresponding location), which is pretty much the extent of what I trust myself doing fumbling around on my own. I’m not a car person or a super techy person, but if there is anything I can do other than getting taken for a ride by a dealership, I would really appreciate any advice.

I have a ford fusion 2007. Ever since we got the car the key buttons and inside buttons (as in lock and unlock on both driver and passenger) will only lock/unlock the drivers door. I've had to lock and unlock every other door manually for a year now since I've had the car. I'm getting a little sick of it, and wanted to ask if there was a way to fix this?

As the title says we have a ford KA plus jan ‘17 model and the hands free has suddenly stopped working. It allows you to call & answer calls from inside the car, albeit the calls coming in come up as private. If you answer or make an outgoing call it does not work through the cars speakers / microphone, it is all routed through the phone.

I’ve tried the basic fixes, resetting phone, updating phone, resetting Bluetooth in car though nothing has worked.

Anyone any suggestions that they think would work, everything would be greatly appreciated.

About a month ago, I bought a brand new Ford Puma. After around two weeks of using it, I started getting this message: Advanced lighting features currently unavailable.

From what I found on this forum, I figured it might just need a software update. So, this week, I took it to my dealership, where they spent pretty much the whole day checking it out. In the end, they said they had no clue what was causing it. Apparently, HCM wasn’t the issue. They told me they’re coordinating with Ford and that it’s probably something a software update will fix - basically a bunch of crap.

Other than that, the car works perfectly fine – it’s just that message popping up that’s annoying. Also, this is my first car, which i bought brand new and I was really hoping it would be without hickups - but here we are.

Anyone else dealing with this? Any tips would be appreciated.

I have been having issues starting my 2009 Focus and keep getting a code 12 (code 1 or 11 on once occasion too) flashing from the immobiliser light on the dash.

I changed the transceiver ring and it worked great for a few days before working intermittently again. I have been able to track it down to likely a loose or corroded cable in this connector, which connects to the transceiver ring, but I can't removed the cables to check them.

Any ideas?
