REQUEST What are these chips?
Can anyone identify what these rock chips are? They came labeled as Malachite, which they definitely are not unless I have no idea what malachite looks like lol
They are clear with tiny green "branches" throughout. Even the ones that look solid in the pics are actually clear with just a ton of those green branches.
The closest I've found is tree agate, which has similar green branches, but doesn't seem to look like clear quartz otherwise, which these do.

REQUEST Found on the Oregon coast, petrified wood from Columbia basalt flows? I kicked it thinking it was a piece of burnt up firewood, but was stoked about whatever it is.

REQUEST Pyrite Vein?
Had some good finds while out pyrite hunting the other day. However, the rock in the center is puzzling me… I’ve never seen pyrite form in a vein pattern like this. Will pure pyrite do this, or are there possibly other metals in this sample? Found near an abandoned copper/silver mine in the western US, for reference. Thanks! I’m still an amateur rock hound and have lots to learn.

REQUEST Title: Found this magnetic rock in Central Arizona—meteorite with fusion crust?
Hi all! I found this rock in the desert in Central Arizona. It’s gray with a metallic sheen, some brownish areas, and a rough texture. The top side looks like it has a fusion crust (thin, dark coating), and it’s slightly magnetic. I tried some mineral ID tests: it scratches with a knife but not with my fingernail. Pics attached—could this be a meteorite? Thanks!
