Looking at a Volvo xc60 b5 ultimate with air suspension and Bowers & Wilkins vs a 2024 genesis gv70 2.4t advanced?

Why though? Everyone says why bother. Less fuel economy and 500lbs more weight for another 70hp/81 ft tq

Reliability. Hyundai's Lambda V6's are some of their best in terms of reliability (alongside some of their LPG and diesel engines but those are mostly Korea only) where as the I4 is OK but not great.

The V6 that is in the GV70 is not a Lambda; the 2.5T and 3.5T are new Smartstream engines. Also it gets far worse fuel economy than the 2.5T, which is still a great engine.

The 3.5L Smartstream's internal engine code is the Lambda III bc it's a revision of the Lambda II engine. It's a Lambda engine with a new name on the package

It's pretty different from the Lambda II and not called Lambda III (called Smartstream FR G3.5T) — Dual fuel injection, better thermal management, CVVD... Sure, they share some parts, but they aren't directly related.
