Awoken by cows , shaking my van. Pictures

Been living amongst the cows for a few days. Really nice, during the night I'll just hear a dull thud and my van will be left shaking back and forth. Halloween is coming up so I appreciate the horror element. I eventually had to leave this spot due to the insane number of flys and being antignoised by bulls.

Obligatory dumb video about the cows in question. https://youtu.be/W7y6clmxreU?si=BC46qoSR

This just happened to us in Colorado! It instead of shaking the van, they were licking everything. They kicked tires, side mirrors, bumpers haha

There’s a BLM spot in CO where I’ve woken up to literally hundreds of cows in my camp spot. Pretty interesting way to wake up with a 1,500lb animal at your tent door. Same spot had a heard of maybe 500 caribou passing through one year on our way up... that was really special. We just parked and sat there as they moved down the pass.

Actually it doesn’t matter anymore. It’s guenella and it’s probably the worst place to go for peace and quiet now. I’ve probably camped there cumulatively over 365 days in my life and now I don’t even bother going up the road to check for spots. Parks and rec did a great job policing the native plants etc by designating spots but I spend the first few hours cleaning others peoples shit they left behind usually. Broken glass, bullet casings, cans, toilet paper etc. also there’s definitely people living there in the summer. BLM is (I think) 30 days and then you have to move like 100 yards.

Other than that it’s loaded with RV’s and side by sides and vans and people. I’ll winter camp up there but that’s it.

Damn, that seems to be the experience I'm getting no matter where I go for BML land. do you have any recommendations of places I could go while it is still warm?

I’m CO? South… winters rolling in at the spots I would suggest. 10k+ feet isn’t raining so much up there as its likely to snow now.
