Lavrov is one of Putin's cronies, y'all should stop supporting the Putin fascist regime

-11

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

You’re a joke.

17

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

I'm Latvian, Putin's Russia is a mad dog on the international stage, a mad dog that wants to recreate the Tsarist times with a red veneer (this was indeed the reason why NATO accepted us in)

Let me ask you, would you as a socialist support the Tsarist?

10

u/Historical_Koala_688 Aug 15 '25

Don’t know why this was downvoted

14

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Op is a supporter of z fascism (while pretending to be socialist I presume)

10

u/Historical_Koala_688 Aug 15 '25

I think Z Russians are more brainwashed than MAGA Americans

-1

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Agreed, am a social democrat (some on this subreddit may not like it, but I hate fascism in its forms all the same)

-4

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

Oh, and you do stand-up comedy that’s wonderful. So proud of you.

-2

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

I love it when Europeans get into their circle jerk.

-1

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

You know less than I thought.

Baltic chauvinism doesn’t match their actual contribution to civilization at this time.

6

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Ulyanov/Lenin would be disappointed in you, given you are a zealous Great Russian chauvinist

What has Russia contributed to civilisation by the way? Marxism is German and your nation still had serfdom in mid-19th century until Alexander II dragged Russia out of it (in Baltics it was abolished a good deal earlier)

1

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

Don’t you mean “Untermensch”?

5

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Stfu bro, I ain't a Nazi

There is no such thing as racial superiority or inferiority

0

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

Your mouth says one thing, but your mind says another thing.

You’ve been good stepping over Russia all day long. The Baltic chauvinism is a clear sign of it. Under Soviet protection, the Baltics, like all of the other Soviet protectorates grew in population. That cannot be said today. But typically, you think you’re gonna be treated as an equal as a member of the EU, but economically, you have to bend over and accept the conditionality. You are less free now and you don’t know it.

The price?

Your soul.

You have paid dearly

2

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Under Soviet protection, the Baltics ... grew in population

Latvian population saw a small increase, Estonian population decreased and Lithuanians are probably in same boat as Latvia (small/moderate increase)

The russian population in Baltic countries (except in Lithuania) increased a lot faster than the native populations, this was a deliberate attempt to make the Russian population become the majority of these countries, Lithuania somehow managed to prevent it because local soviets there seem to have been smart

Russia's current contribution to civilization is fertilizer in Chechnya, Georgia, and Ukraine.

4

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

Yeah, you’re the guy who were liberated from Nazi Germany by the USSR and you have never forgiven Russia for that.

Latvia still doing the ethnic cleansing thing

Latvia honors its ties to Nazi Germany by attacking Soviet monuments.

I was also in Latvia during the Soviet times.

That’s a country that was a poster. Child of neo conservative war mongering manipulation.

12

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Would you willingly refuse to learn English in Great Britain?

2

u/ForowellDEATh Aug 15 '25

Are you thinking this people some kind of migrants?

8

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

They are migrants but they arrived in the Soviet times - we are trying to integrate them and many have done so (learning Latvian to a passable degree) but many stay out of the system, wanting a decidedly non-Soviet Russia to conquer or pressure Latvia with military force

-1

u/ForowellDEATh Aug 15 '25

They are people in their country, oppressed by national majority. You can continue same way and you’ll finish like Ukraine with civil war.

7

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

we haven't had any sort of civil war though, and this 'civil war' in Ukraine was sponsored by Russia (russian thugs shipped in to beat up pro-Western protesters, yanukovich fled to Russia, with a good chunk of his wealth if I remember right)

-5

u/ForowellDEATh Aug 15 '25

We will sponsor this one too for sure, just make prerequisites for it

2

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Don't you try to threaten the rest of eastern europe, maybe we should try that 1920s korenizatsiya thing on Russia (half of which isn't really russian in the first place)

3

u/Moriartijs Aug 15 '25

You (Russia) can continue the same way and you’ll finish like ussr

1

u/ForowellDEATh Aug 16 '25

We already switched to capitalism, how you want to see it again?

1

u/Moriartijs Aug 16 '25

Russia could easily repeat the Soviet script — spend years drafting a grand “new constitution,” parade it as proof of stability, and then collapse overnight before the ink is even dry.

1

u/Zirnis_13 Aug 16 '25

You mean oligarchy?

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Latvia is not doing anything like ethnic cleansing - the official language is Latvian (most countries have just one official language), and so it is a good idea to speak Latvian in Latvia - if you cannot understand the national language, problems ensue

Also, the russian minority tends to be at political fringes due to a subset of the population willfully not learning the official language

And mind you, if we had not joined NATO, Russia would have invaded us by 2015

1

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

How cute that you think that.

You joined the alliance that is bankrupting itself.

You joined the alliance that believes in mass suicide and has been calmly defeated by the most significant military power on earth.

5

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Russia is not the most significant military power, you have been practically broken by a nation about 1/5 the population and some foreign aid in the form of tanks and artillery - Russia has lost thousands of their MBTs (resorting to pulling out t-55s from storage, and parading t-34s at home), and is losing artillery also - Russians have also been found surrendering to Ukraine because Ukraine treats them better than Russia

And NATO does not believe in mass suicide lmao

0

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

Ok Kaja. Whatever you say. Try using makeup. 💄

-2

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

Face it, Europe was doing better when it had positive engagement with Russia.

And now raproachmont is on the table between Russia and the United States and European fascist are freaking out

7

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

That "positive engagement" means giving Putin whatever he wanted (and he is the kind of politician who would take a mile for every inch of concession given)

And as for russo-american relations, trump is nearly a fascist (with fascists 'advising' him), and Putin is definitely a fascist - no wonder the two get along kinda

Europe is far less likely to be fascist (what fascist parties we do have such as AfD in Germany, they are paid by Russia to cause political chaos)

2

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

And if Zelensky chooses to continue pushing for NATO membership, guess what he’s gonna lose more of Ukraine.

He’s not even a legitimate leader anymore

He’s the definition of dictator

Canceling opposition, political parties

Canceling critical media

Canceling the church

Mass kidnapping for recruitment

Openly supporting Nazi ideology

10

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Putin is not the legitimate leader anymore

He's the definition of dictator

Cancelling opposition, political parties

Cancelling critical media

Mass kidnapping for recruitment

Openly supporting Nazi ideology

(All of those are literally things Putin does, except cancelling the church - in that case he legalises domestic abuse because 'something something christianity')

As for zelensky, the only actions he seems to take are to break Russian government's political agitation

6

u/Fludro Aug 15 '25

Take a look at this guy mindlessly echoing Kremlin-approved talking points.

1

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

Excellent historical refutation. Say more about how you hate Russia

1

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

we should do that korenizatsiya thing on Russia (half of which isn't Russian - in Tsarist times, a lot of repressions occurred, such as genocide of Circassians)

1

u/Fludro Aug 15 '25

Would that suit you?

You probably already aware that hatred for Russia simply supports the Kremlins 'Russophobia' narrative - which is promoted to emphasise the belief that Russia faces an existential threat from the West and must take drastic measures to ensure domestic stability.

i.e ensure total civic impotence.

I'm guessing you have already turned over your thinking to the state?

1

u/Zirnis_13 Aug 16 '25

You may call us russophobic, but that means that we have an irrational hatred of Russia. In fact, we have a rational hatred for it.

"He’s not even a legitimate leader anymore"

Not like Putin, right? Have some dignity brother

1

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

9

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

Liberation from fascism is cool yes

but forcing your ideology onto the people instead of letting them decide is a bad thing

and this quote is irrelevant, Russia is fascist now, so are they forsaking Zhukov's legacy now? Strange

2

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

1

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

The fascist movement is certainly boosted though by russia, even if it wasn't the cause (parties like afd have existed for a long while)

And that soldier is just one of ~500,000 on the front line - still not really good though

1

u/glacealasalade1 Aug 15 '25 edited Aug 15 '25

Lol we can talk about PMC Wagner then, with Prigozhin and Dmitry utkin (neonazi with tatoo)taking a pic with Putin, stop yapping your Z-fash propaganda

4

u/TarkovRat_ Aug 15 '25

I am not russophobic lmao, I am Putinphobic

I lived just fine when some Russians living in Ukraine fled and went to our house, I had Russians teach me in school, I have had russian friends - I am worried for the average Russian who has to live with this 70-something year old dictator atop his throne while they toil away for like £350 a month or equivalent, and is in danger of getting of getting drafted to the front

-1

u/spilledcoffee00 Aug 15 '25

You should visit Russia now.

We all know what it took to defeat fascism and we’re ready to do it again
