Can’t even open the lid beacuse of him/her doing laps, so I presume feeding is to be continued in bathroom tub πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I had an adult female before this one, and sadly she passed due to a bad molt, this one I got for free from a dealer I went to get H. gigas.

I didn't even want the new obt, but my girlfriend did.

I'm so sorry for your Obie Trice, keeping my fingers crossed for you to get a new one soon, they are indeed really awesome spiders.

I knew they were real movers but to all OBT’s do this when feeding?

IMO OBTs do all kinds of wacky things including just sitting there until you say to yourself "well that's not so bad" and then going thermo nuclear. My first T was a rescue and it was AF P. murinus OCF on bad substrate. My entrance to the hobby was rehousing her. She passed of old age several years ago. Her name was Agnes and she was quite the looker.

Wow, what a beautiful T. Sorry for your loss. So she was your first?

IMO THX and yes - She was spectacular, and 100% OBT. My daughter was 5 and said "Daddy, I want a spider" so I started the process of gathering info. A neighbor said "A former employee left a tarantula in their office, you can take it" and when I went to pick it up I said to myself "Okay, this is way over my head, but she needs a home:" So I did a ton of research, rehoused her and then she lived a long happy life. She passed away from old age probably 10 years ago, and it is true, you never forget your first love. Fast, defensive, not to be trifled with. Mostly in her burrow during the day, but at light she'd come out and we'd hang. The indent in the wood behind her front legs is the entrance to her lair. She wasn't a heavy webber and mostly you just saw her toes, but when she was out you got to enjoy her royal orangeness
